As a resident of a hurricane prone area, I’m always looking for possible tips on how to prepare, and this book has a lot of things I already incorporate into our preps. But it’s also so much more. This is a concise guide on preparing for an unimaginable, but very possible, scenario. There is a lot of research into history and current events that explain exactly why this is something that should be considered, for nuclear war or any disaster. The 30-day guide is manageable and can get even the beginner ready in easy to follow steps that assess what you need and help you develop a comprehensive plan for your family. Note: there are some pricey recommendations that are useful but not essential to completing the plan. Highly recommended to get you ready for any event.

This book is exactly as advertised. In it, you can find basic advice about what to do in case of a disaster. There are checklists of what kinds of things you should keep stocked, including first aid supplies and food. Anyone actually preparing for disaster can use this book as a manual.
I especially appreciated the emphasis on making sure everyone has drinkable water, and the multiple ways you can ensure that.
