A boldly written book about a woman and her relationships, with partners; family; friends and more importantly her own body. This book isn't afraid to tackle any subject and does so in a brilliant matter-of-fact way, with humour and tenderness.
The opening line had me hooked and made me want to continue as I loved the writing style straight away. It's written in a wonderful style as if you're having a conversation with a friend.

I was very excited when @netgalley and @orionbooks approved for me to read this.
I’m f*cking amazing is a story that feels very relatable. It gives me 2020 Bridget jones vibes but with more of an emphasis on mental health. I found myself laughing, cringing and feeling sad at times however I always wanted to read on. The FMC felt like a familiar friend towards the end of the book and I really did not want it to end. Girl power because we really are f*cking amazing!

Wow.
The first half of this, she could have been writing from inside my brain. It wasn't laugh out loud funny, but it was real, and raw and honest. Actually the whole book felt like that. I really felt like she was talking for all women. I am sure that even a little bit of this will resonate with you all. It was all quite sad but it was also nice that she realised that she was just as important as others and found ways to look after herself, however hard that sometimes is.

I'm F*cking Amazing is written like a personal diary and reads like a conversation with your girlfriends. She rates her previous partners via her Top Hump list and throughout the book we follow her journey through break-ups, finding love, and finding herself. She talks very openly about her sexual experiences, relationships and her intimate physio sessions …. I had NO idea they existed!!! I wouldn’t say it’s hilarious, there’s more serious than humorous moments, as it covers some sensitive and difficult topics such as drug abuse and mental health. A good read but not the hilarious read I was expecting.

Without knowing a single thing about this book, its title and the cover grabbed my attention. That should be no surprise as both are bold and eye-catching. I had a feeling where this book was going to take me and it certainly lived up to what I had imagined.
If you don't enjoy reading about sex in all of its forms, body parts or graphic descriptions of both of those things, steer away from this book. Luckily for me, neither of those things offend me in anyway so I enjoyed how straight to the point and "in your face' the writing was in this book. That doesn't mean to say there weren't moments that had me squirming or grimacing as there are some pretty bleak sexual encounters.
This was definitely a character driven book as opposed to plot. The narrator's relationship with herself actually stood out more to me than her relationships with other people. She moved from one doomed relationship to another and I experienced all of those highs and lows with her. There was a lot I could relate to, being approximately the same age as her so some of her struggles felt very real and struck a deep chord. A woman in her thirties who wasn't following the stereotypical "meet, marry, kids" cookie cutter life OR "career focused" existence was super refreshing and I enjoyed it a lot.
I devoured this book pretty quickly. It didn't feel like reading, it felt like a night with friends discussing the good the bag and the ugly about our lives. Definitely not for the feint hearted and there were some potentially distressing subjects covered, but it was definitely for me and I had a great time reading.

Another great Netgalley loaner - I’m Effing Amazing took a bit of getting used to: it’s written in a style like you’re reading someone’s very intimate diary and there’s a lot of fanny-related chat. Once I got into it, I saw it for what it was: a funny, raw, sometimes slightly alarming story following a woman’s path through break-ups, love, betrayal, and insatiable urge to document everything in her notes app.

Okay, this was bloody brilliant! It was however, a little different to what I was expecting, but I absolutely devoured it. Very much a book of two halves - a lot of fun, sexy stuff, and humour in the first half of the book, whereas the second half of the book felt a lot heavier. Some of this really resonated with me, and I feel like a narrative of sex, failed relationships and deceit, whilst trying to find your own identity in your early adulthood will appeal broadly to many young(ish!) readers. I haven't really stopped talking about this book since finishing it so will be recommending far and wide!

REALLY FUNNY
Original too. A refreshing take on love, sex and relationships in the Naughties. (and it is naughty)

I think it's probably an age thing, but this book really didn't work for me. I just couldn't believe that the protagonist was meant to be in her thirties, she was so juvenile, in both her language and her behaviour.
She treated people appallingly and was so self-obsessed and selfish. It wasn't even as if there was much in the way of development, she was just as odious at the end of the book, if not more so.

I sped through this. It starts with the main character talking about her sexual desires. It then moves on to talk about her more serious relationships.
It's never entirely clear who is in the wrong as all the main characters are flawed. However, that makes it seem much more true to life.

I saw the most amazing review of this on bookstagram, looked up the overview online and knew I needed to read this STAT! How lucky was I when my ARC request was approved?!
Absolutely five stars. I could relate to SO MUCH in this book. Bad relationships, painful sex, dealing with the NHS, trying to hang on to those bad relationships etc. The lead character (do we ever find out her name or have I lost it?) is not totally likeable but a bit relatable I think. She makes stuuuupid decisions but then don’t we all.
There’s a huge number of trigger warnings for this book so look away now if you don’t like spoilers: abuse, mental health, abortion, suicidal ideation etc. Aside from that this is one of the best books I’ve ever read in this genre and I implore everyone to pick it up!
Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review.

I loved this!! After seeing it all over bookstagram, I just had to request it, so I’m super grateful for the opportunity to review. All in all, this is a funny and witty book which I think is going to be a big hit. I was constantly surprised and just loved getting stuck into this.

This book is breathtakingly frank - in a good, much-needed way. It’s rare to be given such deep psychological and somatic insight into the neuroses and, yes, libido that shapes our daily rhythms and relationships. I appreciated the detail, and recognised quite a few scenes - the NHS gynaecology department being one! And I felt inspired by her Manifesto.

I'm F*cking Amazing by Anoushka Warden is simply genius! A great book for all women seeking balance between emotional and physical love and written in such a way as you would think it was two besties chatting on
"What becomes of the happily ever after if she can't stand sex with the best man ever"
As a memoir, it is tender, funny, witty, inspirational, what am I saying, funny? Hilarious. Tender? Gentle without comparison. Inspirational? Absolutely illuminating and inspolicious!
Being serious just for a minute though, this is a fantastic read about our relationship with our intimate physical self and the intimacy we share with others and how it evolves over time and despite the very significant changes, does not mean we become deficient in any way.
A fun, insightful and powerful memoir which will leave you in stitches
Thank you very much to Netgalley and the incredible Anoushka Warden. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own

I requested this book because I had seen so much of the marketing campaign on twitter/X, Instagram etc! It was such an all consuming read and I inhaled it in only two sittings. I spent the entire time wanting to shout and shake the protagonist for making such horrible decisions. I have read quite a few 'affair' novels this year and late last year and this is definitely up there with the better of them. As pacy as a crime thriller!

Wow! What a fantastic read! I absolutely loved this! Very current with the times. So easy to read. I loved it.

Hilarious at times this book started off like wine night with mates. I laughed out loud a few times and could relate to parts of it. But the funny gave way to a sadness and frustration for the main character. I really felt for her at times. I’d love to know what happens next for her.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for my honest and unbiased opinion.

WOW. I don't know if I have the full vocabulary needed to describe how much I loved this book. Somehow this managed to feel like both reading a collection of my own innermost thoughts and feelings, as well as living through a friendship with someone I have known for years and love deeply but also really dislike in some ways. The main character is SO relatable I almost didn't like it in some instances because I knew what she was doing, thinking or how she was acting was "wrong" but I also knew it was exactly what my own thoughts would be, in her shoes. I laughed, I cried, I have raved and recommended this to all my friends. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this, thank you for perfectly encapsulating how complex and nuanced relationships feel and how easy it is to judge them from afar, but not be able to act any differently when within them. This book helped me feel normal and reassured me that actually no one has got it together; no matter how many rules you try to set, lists you make or manifestos you intent to stick to! life, love and sex are not that straightforward or between the lines, but ultimately isn't that the magic of these things?!

This is a book that is a conversation piece long after you've finished it. Close to the knuckle at times but very very humorous.
A woman. In many ways pretty dislikeable is on the quest for the perfect relationship. Driven by her fanny. She has a Top Humps list for the men she meets. Who wouldn't want to rate their men on there sexual prowess. To get the perfect man they must score highly on the sexual and mental points.
After a long term relationship she feels her parts are broken. So the quest is on to fix her problems. Whether that be self help or going back on the market. Is there the perfect relationship?
In one way there is a moral hidden in the story. A perfect talking point for all book group lovers.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to see an ARC

This book grabs your attention from the start. In the beginning it was laugh out loud funny. We get to explore the journey of our main character as she navigates life and relationships. It was an enjoyable read, with perhaps a slightly frustrating ending - but aren't the best stories told that way?
