Really really loved this book! Everytime you think you know who is narrating, you think again. All the twists and turns and possibly the best thriller I will read all year. Only wish I had was an epilogue that followed up a couple years down the road but truly loved the book.

Holy Cow! This book was so good! I am thrilled that I got to read it as an ARC reader!

The suspense in this book did not let up until the end of the book. I had no clue how the book was going to end until the reveal of the villain! I love it when I can’t figure out the details until the end!

I loved the character and the speed of the story line was perfect! Could not put this book down!

Never Trust the Husband is a totally twisty psychological thriller that will have you glued to the pages late into the night! Fans of The Perfect Marriage, The Housemaid and Shari Lapena will be hooked.
This is the first Jessica Payne book for me and I was not disappointed. It's a great book of love and betrayal.

Never Trust The Husband by Jessica Payne
Madison Hughes lived a very privileged , well funded life. Everything had been handed to her on a silver platter including the love of her life, Benjamin. After their honeymoon plans fall thru they take an impromptu backpacking trip with the rest of the wedding party only Madison never makes it home. Now Benjamin is left a very wealthy widow. 3 years later he’s engaged to Madison’s maid of honor and best friend, Gwyn. Rebecca shows up out of the blue to avenge Maddie’s death. What her connection is to Maddie you won’t find out till the end of the book.
This was an entertaining read. I really felt I knew who Rebecca was but I was wrong. I also thought I knew who ‘killed’ Maddie but was entirely wrong there too. Lots of twists and turns, a little slow out of the gate but it got there.

4.5 stars rounded up.
This was my second book by Jessica Payne and wow did it not disappoint. I need to add more of her books to my TBR after this one.
Three years after Madeline is presumed dead, her husband, Benjamin, is now engaged to her best friend, Gwyn. Rebecca is trying to find out the truth with what happened to Madeline and who tried to kill her. Did her new husband do it? Or her best friend? And who even is Rebecca?
I thought I knew what was going on.. but I was wrong. Such a good twist towards the end. Left me shocked. I was so mad that I couldn’t read this book fast enough, I had to tell my husband to leave me alone so I could finish faster.

Wow was this a fun and fast-paced thriller! Filled with several twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I wish I’d had the time to read it in one sitting, I never wanted to put it down!

I have just devoured my first Jessica Payne novel, and it was an absolute rollercoaster!
Picture this: a honeymoon takes a dark turn when a young woman, Madeline, gets pushed off a cliff. What ensues is a gripping tale where someone infiltrates the lives of her husband and best friend to unmask the culprit.. Rebecca is intent on finding out what happened that night and her her sights set on husband Benjamin and best friend Gwyn who suspiciously got together soon after Madeline's demise.
Payne's narrative is a whirlwind of suspense, with twists that kept me hooked and racing through the pages. The clever use of alternating perspectives adds depth to the story, though it left me questioning everything even more.
I found the ending predictable and a bit long, but it didn't dampen the overall enjoyment, it was still a gripping read.

A very good psychological thriller. I liked the dual narrators (Madeline and Rebecca) and the dual timelines. Jessica Payne is an author I just discovered and her other books are now on my to-read list. Thank you for this ARC.

This is my first book by Jessica Payne and it won't be my last Secrets, betrayal, and lies; Never Trust the Husband has it all.
This book is told from two different points of view; Rebecca's point of view is told in the present, and Madeline's was from the past ( about 3 years ago) I think that made it even more interesting to me.
This was such a page turner and had me up into the night trying to find out what was going to happen next.
I loved that none of the characters were likeable.
Clear your schedule because you will not be able to put this one down.

This starts out strong, kinda drops off and ends with a bang. Is it a little Unbelievable? Yes! Did it work though? Yes!! This was a fun read! Check it out!

Someone killed Madeline Hughes, but who? I loved this "who done it" book, I had a few theories forming as I got deeper into the story. Most were halfway there, but I was pretty spot on in my line of thinking.

I honestly liked Benjamin/Benji, but Gwynn? No, she just made my skin crawl, but it seems maybe her character did have some growth in the present day as opposed to the flashbacks. I had a steadfast theory of who Rebecca was and only veered from that once or twice.

This is a story I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel for, but I'm one who stays up at night wondering about the characters' lives post-ending. That's also what I deem a good book, leaving me pondering for days after.

This was my second and most definitely not my last Jessica Payne read. Definitely recommend putting this on on your TBR!

This book was great. Lies, secrets, betrayal, twists. I couldn't put it down! I loved following Rebecca to solve Maddy's murder.

I'm a big fan of thrillers because they always keep you on your toes & Never Trust the Husband is now one of my favourites!!

I was gripped from the first page & couldn't put it down, dying to figure out what happened to Madeline through the dual timelime of Maddy's viewpoint and the person trying to avenge her!! The pace of the book was fab - Jessica Payne ensuring the reader was hooked throughout!

I loved it because there were twists that I didn't see coming (especially one that made me say 'what?!' out loud!) & it kept me guessing until the end.

It's the first book of Jessica's that I've read and it definitely won't be the last.

What a wild ride! The twists and turns in here = chef’s kiss!

This thriller is told from two points of view with dual timelines that keep the story moving forward at an excellent pace. Jessica Payne does a great job layering in details to keep your theories coming all the way to the end!

This is such a fun domestic thriller that will keep you turning the pages to find out the murderer. It did my head in trying to figure it out but i kind of thought who it 60% in.

So many unexpected twist and turns that makes this book a great psychological thriller

This is my first read by Jessica Payne and I really enjoyed it! Very quick-paced with plenty of twists, it was pretty easy to finish in only two settings! I loved the alternating POVs between characters and time so that we have a better picture of what really happened - but it somehow made me doubt everything even more? The ending was a little predictable, but it didn't take away from it being a pleasurable read. This would be a great book club pick, even for those who don't read too often.
