A mesmerizing tale that blends adventure, self discovery, and romance. I loved the writing and the rich descriptions of the various cultures and breathtaking locations that Annie journeyed to. Annie’s character is relatable and her transformation throughout the story is inspiring.
Many thanks to BooksGoSocial and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

What an exciting story of travel, history and love interests! Annie's journey on her grandfather's sailing ship is fascinating. A very different book, but enjoyable and interesting.
Thank you to NetGalley for a chance to review this story.

Though this book was not what I expected, it turned out I really enjoyed it, though It did take me a while to get used to the author's style. Her descriptions of so many countries and cultures were detailed and vivid, I almost felt I was there with her. In a few places it did get rather.. steamy. But just a page or two, so I was fine to skim those parts. It was certainly an escapism story, with adventure, friendship, and romance. I thank Netgalley for the chance to read the ARC. I definitely recommend!

Beyond the Sea, Annie’s journey into the extraordinary by Nina Purtee was an unexpected story with a perfect combination of history, travel experiences, Romance, Mystery and Inner self work.

Annie is a creative woman who lives in Maine with her mother and father. Her father’s job in something of a mystery and even though her father disappears for weeks or months sometimes, this time is the longest he’s been absent.
Annie takes the time to go to Spain to her maternal grandparents with the purpose of learning of her father’s whereabouts while also working on her personal issues of dealing with past losses, guilt and regrets. Her journey takes her to amazing locations surrounded by history and good food with beautiful characters that make the story whole and such a pleasure to read.

I simply loved the book. While Annie was simply enjoying her passion for traveling while also letting go of her past troubles. I, as the reader, made future plans to visit the places she went to. The chemistry between Annie and her two love prospects was just a bonus for me. A very nice bonus!

I can’t wait for the next books of the series.
