I thought that this was a fun twist on the ABC books that are available.
It had some good illustrations and I liked that the letters each had a rhyme featuring Rhea, the German Shepherd so it would be a hit with dog lovers, but there are brighter and more attractive books in the market and I think it would struggle to stand out against them.
The book flows well and it is 3 stars from me for this one.

ABC's with Rhea: A Doggie Journey Through the Alphabet by G.D. Griffiths is a very charming alphabet book for children. Families with dogs will relate to this book and the alphabet words Rhea tells about, like the Aroma of treats and the Zoomies she gets when she is full of energy. The cartoon pictures of Rhea and her young companion are sweet. The vocabulary is rather advanced for young children, but at the end is a section which explains all the harder words like Intruder and Debris. I like the part about Rhea and her picture at the end of the book. I highly recommend this book for families with dogs.

This book is so fun! I love how it teaches the ABCs while telling a story! I would definitely purchase this for my son! The definitions after are fantastic as well! Great learning tool.

My kids loved this and want a dog like Rhea!
The rhyming was great and kept my kids attention throughout. I think it is fabulous that a glossary is included in the back for any words the kids may have found tricky.

I wanted to love this, and it was cute. The pictures were great and I thought the words they chose to represent the letters were perfect.
But the poems were so awkward. I think they could be reworked to have a much more natural rhythm, they were just not natural feeling.

ABC's with Rhea teaches children the alphabet through rhyme with the help of Rhea, the German Shepherd. I absolutely loved the illustrations in this book and thought Rhea was adorable. I liked that the pages weren't overcrowded and the dictionary at the end with any tricky words was a nice touch. However at times the rhyme scheme felt quite forced and unnatural.

Overall this was a very cute book and would be perfect for any younger children who love dogs!

An excellent ABC book with rhymes for each letter featuring Rhea, the German Shepherd. The book flows, the rhymes are felicitous, and the dog is beautiful, a trait held in common by all German Shepherds. I love alphabet books, and this one just feels downright comfy!
