What a brilliant conclusion to the series! I loved this mystery and thought the twists and turns as the mystery unravelled were perfectly timed and paced.
Found it really interesting seeing the Twitchers from Ava’s perspective (who as a member can only join in during the holiday periods so also sits a little on the outside) as well as Rae’s who is a complete outsider and I think that really helped Ava to see Rae’s perspective. I also really enjoyed reading MG Leonard writing a girl protagonist as previously the series (and her other series) had been around the boy characters.
As always MG Leonard writes a compelling page-turning book that drops clues like breadcrumbs for you to catch along with the characters. This one felt a bit more ‘dramatic’ than previous stories but I loved that and could really see it playing out on screen.
I’m sad that this is to be the last Twitchers book as I loved the blend of nature, family and a good mystery! But can’t wait to see what MG Leonard writes next!
Another wonderful mystery for the Twitchers. This time the story centres around Ava, who just happens to be on the scene when a museum heist takes place. Such a cosy and heart-warming story with all our favourite characters back and another cracking mystery to solve. If you have enjoyed the other titles in this series, you will definitely love this book too (it could be read as a stand-alone story but I think it’s better to read them in order).
This has to have been the quickest I ever read and loved a book. It might also be the twitchers most dangerous adventure yet.
Ava is on a school trip, when a museum heist takes place and over 200 rare or endangered birds are stolen. The only clue is the raven’s festher she finds near the cases.
When the twitcher team get involved, they take it seriously and travel to explore leads. What they know for certain is that a young girl is in the centre of it all. Trying to find her proves tricky but Ava is determined and she has the full support of the twitchers.
I cried, laughed (The Wee-Wee Song- just wait till to hear this) and applauded the bravery, determination and justice this group offered the girl, her Raven and the entire Aves wood. Such a phenomenal series! I may just go back to the beginning and start again!
