I am thrilled I picked this book up. I love a good intrigue, suspense story.

Hailey has not had it easy in her life. Her youth was rough, and with her found family Cash, Easton, and Jesse, they made it work. But one of them is in trouble, and Hailey feels she brought the trouble.

Jesse is protective of Hailey. He lost her once, and he plans not to let it happen again. I love their relationship. There are letters that help to enhance the story and share what these people mean to each other.

Thank you to NetGalley and KR Press, LLC for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

She might have left them, but she never forgot them. In the Army she lived for the notes and care packages, even if she couldn’t respond. Her found family just didn’t need her holding them back. Especially Jesse, he was destined for great thing and would have a better life without her.
He might have created a life for himself, and be doing great things with his business. Though that something is missing from his life even if he won’t admit it. Then when that something needs him, he’s ready to step up to the plate for her, and this time he’s not letting her get away.
I loved this dysfunctional found family, and their friends. Found or not, not all been together for years, it didn’t matter they were family and all in. Looking forward to Hailey’s brother Cash and friend Reese’s story next

Fighting for Hailey is full of steamy sexy scenes with lots of great dialogue between the different characters. This is the start of a new series by Katie Reus who right away introduces you to the main characters as well as the intro to the next book in the series.

With all things Katie Reus there is lots of action, second chance romance, feisty females who can take care of themselves and sweet, adorable men with lots of money who want to protect the women they fall in love with.

The story moves quickly, and you will want to read it alone because you will be blushing from the steamy romance.

Thank you to Netgalley for advance copy of Katie Reus Fighting for Hailey.

This is my first time reading a Katie Reus novel and boy am I glad to give away my virginity to this woman because I’m in LOVE WITH THIS AUTHOR.

I truly had zero expectations going in with this book and I was steamrolled over by this book … really!

This book has everything. I truly enjoy the angst that comes with a second chance romance but one with an action packed suspense romance sign me up.

Thank you NetGalley and Katie Reus.

It's been far too long since I've read this author, and I won’t be making that mistake again.
The first Redemption Harbor series is a firm favourite so I couldn't jump on this book fast enough as soon as I heard about it, and it was worth every second of excitement.
This was a really good start to this new series, it kept me captivated from cover to cover, I tried to drag it out as long as I could as I didn't want it to end.
There's so much going on in this starter book, I hope some of the slightly loose threads get tied up in other books, I'm a details girl so like everything tied up in bows.
I cannot wait to see what the author comes up with next.

This story reunites Haiey with the foster brothers she left behind. When one of them is kidnapped, Hailey comes running with her Redemption Harbor Security team to help find him. This reunites her with the boy she loved.

Katie Reus's contemporary books are as good as her paranormal books. I have read a few of the previous Redemption Harbor Series books and this makes me want to go back and read the ones I missed. Definitely a series worth investing time in.

I love Susan Stoker’s world, and especially have a fondness for her Redemption Harbor series.Hailey had been a foster kid with 3 foster brothers as a teenager and really was close with Jesse. But time split them apart as basically Hailey ran to join the service. Now she is part of the Redemption Harbor Security team but came running when one of the foster brothers is kidnapped. Proximity bring Jesse and Hailey together again in the search for Easton. Fun plot, with a few suspenseful moments, but that is what Ms Stoker is known for. I love reading Romantic suspense and this was a good one. Looking forward to the next one. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This time Jesse will not let Hailey go.

Hailey ghosted Jesse, Cash, and Easton ten years ago. The four foster siblings were tight in their teens, then Hailey ran and joined the Marines. She’s back trying to find out who kidnapped Easton. While she was away, the men grew up and became successful in their own right. Hailey is now an operative for Redemption Security and more than capable of finding Easton. Seeing Hailey again, Jesse knows he will not let her get away a second time without a fight.

I loved this fast-paced suspense thriller, second chance romance. The action and intrigue were exciting and captivated me from the beginning. The intensity and steam generated between Jesse and Hailey was organic and tastefully written. I love Katie Reus and the Red Stone Security series, and I’m thrilled to have a new series and more wonderful characters to be invested in because I’m already excited and can’t wait to see where Cash and Reese’s story goes next. Fighting For Hailey is the first book in the Redemption Harbor Security series, a spin-off from the Red Stone Security series.

Great start to a new series. Jesse and Hailey needed reconnecting. I loved their journey and I really loved the way Easton “helped”. Can’t wait for the next.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

they grew up in foster care each looking out for each other but hailey left them all behind and joined the marines never getting in contact with her foster family but now one of them has been kidnapped and hailey isnt leaving it to the fbi to find him...

hailey works for redemption harbor security and this is her job, what she didnt expect was to find jesse pointing a gun at her whilst she was scouting eastons flat looking for clues to why he had been kidnapped

history was about to come calling, could she reveal why she hadnt stayed in contact with her foster brothers ghosting them for years but still stalking them from the sidelines keeping tabs

interesting read that kept me glued and entertained at the same time

It was good to be back in the Redemption Harbor world. We get glimpse of Skye and Colt in this book, who are one of my favorite couples. Hailey and Jesse are up there, too, now.
I love a good second chance romance. And throw in a strong heroine, I’m sold.
Katie Reus never disappoints. I can’t wait for the rest of the series. Especially the next book!

Once upon a time Hailey, Jesse, Cash and Easton had been foster kids together, making their own family with a little something extra between Hailey and Jesse until the day something happened, and she left to enlist in the marines cutting the boys out of her life completely. They never accepted this writing and sending care packages no matter where she was even if she never responded. Until the day Easton was kidnapped and Hailey, now working in private security is soon on the case to track him down reuniting her with Jesse and Cash in the process.

The first book in the Redemption Harbor Security series from Katie Reus and this book has shot straight to the top of my favourite reads from this author. With previous books, while I loved them, I always thought the the suspense element of the story was a bit rushed and almost an afterthought to the romance but in Fighting for Hailey the balance was spot on for me with the gripping, fast paced plot involving abduction, money laundering and pharmaceutical research playing an integral part in the overall book as Hailey and Jesse reunite to find Easton before it’s too late and rekindle their romance along the way. There is some angst relating to Hailey’s reasons for leaving Jesse but nothing too overly heavy and a few instances that tugged my heartstrings involving the letters the boys sent to Hailey where the pain of their friend abandoning them easily came through despite the joking tone of writing. Adding another touch of levity was the budding one-sided romance between Cash and Reese. Cash is obviously a “faint heart never won fair lady” type of guy as I’m sure the object of his affections is about to find out in the next book and if this one was anything to go by, I can’t wait.

A Love Worth Fighting For!

WOW! A swoon-worthy action packed read that will keep you on your toes

I was so engaged with the storyline that I was willing them to find Easton and willing that he would be okay.

Both Jesse and Hailey’s lives had changed, Hailey had run from him once and this time he wasn’t prepared to let her leave again but first they had to rescue one of their best friends.

A fast paced page-turning adventure with fantastic characters, some witty and steamy moments to complement the storyline.

Loved It!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hailey is looking for her missing foster brother, Easton. When she breaks into his apartment looking for clues to his disappearance, she doesn't expect to come face to face with the only man she's ever loved Jesse. They were in love as teenagers until Hailey suddenly joined the military and never talked to him again. He never knew why she ran but now that she's back he has no intention of letting her go. She's the only woman he's ever loved, and he'll do whatever it takes to make her his forever.

Hailey has a job she loves working for a security company. She and her team help people every day who need help but have nowhere to turn. I like that Hailey is committed to helping others and works well with her team. She's smart and driven and kind. Jesse has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams and now he is able to commit a lot of time and money to helping others. I like that he loves his foster brothers and that they have created a strong family unit. There is a large group of side characters that add to the overall story and a relationship is introduced between two of them that I assume will be explored in a future story. One of the most interesting relationships in the story is Hailey and Easton. The author mentions a few times that they stayed in touch during the years that Hailey was away but Easton didn't let Jesse or Cash. I would have liked a little more exploration of their relationship but the book wasn't focused on them so it makes sense it wasn't included.

I thought the bad guy was kind of a weak spot. The actions and motivations weren't really believable. Once the full story of why and how the bad guy was doing what they were doing was revealed I thought it was better but it wasn't the strongest aspect of the story. I also questioned some of Hailey's actions with Jesse. She kept crawling in his lap and acting like a needy girl when she was supposed to be strong and capable. I just thought it was odd.

This is a contemporary found family, security team, kidnapping, second chance romance set primarily in the Washington DC area. The main characters are both successful adults with careers. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fast paced mystery with a big romance. I will read more from this author in the future.

So disappointed that I didn't like this book much. I frequently reread the OG Redemption Harbor series so I was excited to continue it.

Hailey was HARD to like. She is very defensive, just ready to get away from these foster siblings/friends she abandoned years ago. It was fairly heartbreaking how much they were hurt by her and she just shrugged it off. She rarely apologizes, never grovels.

Jesse was okay. He was fairly desperate for Hailey. He bends over backwards to give her excuses to walk all over him. If the roles were reverse, we would be raging at how undeserving the reconcilliation was.

I will be trying again on the next book to see if Reese and Cash can get it right.

Years earlier Hailey had found her family with three foster brothers in fact she had fallen deeply in love with one of them When Jesse the man she loved won a scholarship to university she knew she would hold him back so she walked away and joined the military and in the process she cut all ties with her brothers. They were determined and even though she never responded they continually wrote and sent her food parcels. Now she is the head of Redemption Harbor Security and Ethan he brother who works in the medical field has been kidnapped. She is determined to track him down that puts her back in connection with Chase her brother who has made his fortunes in construction and Jesse now a billionaire and the man she has always loved. Little did Jesse and Hailey know that when they both stood up Ethan for a lunch date they not only foiled his plans to match make but also put him in danger Can they find Ethan can they get over their guilt about his kidnapping and can they finally admit that they are meant for one another You will have to read to see

Like all of Katie's books this is a fast paced romantic suspense that will keep you up all night till you turn the last page Can't wait for Chase's book the next in this fun new series

Hailey and Jesse were childhood first loves who met while in foster care, along with their foster brother Easton and Cash. When Easton is kidnapped Hailey and Jesse are forced to confront their fears and past while trying to save their brother.
This new series is a spin off of Redemption Harbor ( which is a fantastic series), and this can be read as a standalone alone.
I enjoyed this book however some things seemed irritating, such as Hailey's reason for leaving everyone and standing Easton up and not talking to them. Why didn't Jesse look her up over the years to talk. The suspense part was just ok to me. I am however looking forward to Cash and Reece's story. So all in all I thought this was a decent book, not quite up to par as the Redemption Harbor series but I will definitely see how book two in this series goes.

Found family is one of my favorite book tropes and Fighting for Hailey has it in spades. This book is part of a new series but harkens back to some characters from the Redemption Harbor series, but I had no issues following along as I was consumed with getting to know the members of Redemption Harbor Security. I loved how protective Jesse was/is of Hailey, as you never really get over young love. The bonds of friendship and family were forged when Jesse, Hailey, Cash and Easton were in foster care and I loved seeing their history and reconnection play out. In addition we are introduced to members of the Redemption Harbor Security team, which I feel we will learn more about in future stories. Lots of action, a mystery to solve, friendship, love and budding romance will keep this series going for a long while and I can't wait for the next story.

This is a great second chance story in more than one way. Can you go home again after so many years away? Read this book to find out. This is full of romance, family and intrigue. It has a nice mix of everything and I really enjoyed it. *I voluntarily read this book through Net Galley.*
