I couldn't finish this book. It seems advertised as a general self help book. It focuses deeply on trauma and recovering from sexual trauma with matter of fact descriptions of the disturbing experiences and trauma the author or her clients have experienced. She served as a DA prosecuting sexual assault and child abuse cases before becoming an intimacy consultant.

The Sex You Want : A Shameless Journey to Deep Intimacy, Honest Pleasure, and a Life You Love. This is an interesting read that won't be for everyone. Some good ideas though, and it will definitely open your eyes. Worth a read for anyone on an investigate journey.

Unfortunately this really was not what a was expecting if I’m honest, so not really the read for me on this occasion.
I found it a bit of a slow, difficult read.
Hopefully in the right hands it will be better received.
