See I like and I dislike this book. I like this book because it’s fun is enjoyable it’s easy-going and it’s lighthearted so I definitely think the children will enjoy it but personally when reading this I felt like it wasn’t really teaching the children. It was just teaching that like, if you have all these opportunities, you’ll take them on them, it says obviously the Dragon give her wishes because he was lonely in the flute and so she put him back in the boot because she wasn’t done with her wishes. I just didn’t really like that part of the book to be completely honest.

The story feels a little forced. Seraphina just happens across this magic flute and gets everything she ever wanted. Plus she still has 8 wishes to give to her children. There isn't much flow to the story.

This story has the most beautiful pictures. They really capture the imagination - had my daughter saying “wow” at them.
The issue I had with this story is that it read more like a description of the story in many places instead of the actual story.
The concept behind the story is lovely though.
