From reading the description I thought this could have potential but unfortunately it reads like the old 1980s bodice rippers. For one to the heroine, have some pride! I say this knowing that not every heroine has to be kick-butt/take no prisoners attitude. But her reason to disrupt her ex-fiancé's wedding seems just a bit crazy. Then there is the 'hero' who does not possess a lot of redeeming qualities. While the reader will like that he is protective of his sister, there are others things that make one question his judgment. Like why would he trust a man with his beloved sister that left a former fiancé so quickly, and then to kidnap the ex-fiancé to go to his private island...its all just a bit contrived. I think my main issue is that the romantic couple did not behave like mature rational adults.

Thank you to Netgalley for this novel.
This book definitely wasn’t one of my favorites. I didn’t enjoy the female main character at all until almost the end of the novel.

The book started with a bang but then soon fizzled out. It could have been a bit longer. The book felt rushed. lots of things that were not answered. Had a lot of potential but fell short.

This was such a good romantic story. Our protagonist determined to get revenge gets a lot more than she bargained for when a handsome billionaire intercepts her plans and takes her on the journey of a lifetime.

A good premise and a light read. It is well written and has some fun banter.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this e-arc in exchange of my unbiased review.

This felt like a book written in the 1970’s. Woman gets kidnapped, gets Stockholm over kidnapper, sex under duress, guy feels guilty but still acts like an A-hole, girl forgives, and HEA. Hard pass on future books by Kyra Radcliff. There is a complete lack of creativity or imagination. If I wanted this story, I’d just dig into one of my dollar Harlequin’s from the public library dated 1977. I know some recipes are oldies, but not all are goodies.

The plot was kind of ridiculous and the characters were really interesting. I had trouble even finishing this very short book.

So this book was published 2.5 years ago! But i guess to get more traction the author/publisher puts a book back on netgalley to see if more readers/reviewers will bite!
The title was what grabbed me because I LOVE A BILLIONAIRE troupe! Goodreads showed me it was about 133 pages, so sure! I enjoy a short quick romance when im on a book hangover. And boy this one did the trick! Definitely fast paced, bully, kidnapping, rich vs.. less rich 😅, forced proximity, and sort of enemies to lovers too…
So that’s what this is a 3.5 stars and not a full 4….. but i rounded up….., there was A LOT going on, and I don’t always love a bully romance, this one wasn’t too bad, but there were times it was cringy for me and made me think… ‘woman! Why are you putting up with this?!! Or that’s not really forgivable! Or…. WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?!?’ Those moments make me annoyed and mad, and romance shouldn’t do that for me…
BUT there were some REALLY good stuff too, like some open door spice 🌶️🌶️, but not too spicy. Some awww moment too! I’m not gonna lie, the ending was interesting… not what I expected, but not my favourite? Anyways, this was still a good book and I would still recommend it as it was a quick half day read for me.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book infuriated me at times & at other times just made me smile. Tori is a strong willed, independent woman who doesn’t want handouts. I can admire that. She wants to make her own way in life. But her acceptance of the insults and derogatory remarks thrown at her by Alfonso just pissed me off. He is an arrogant jerk most of the time, then gives everyone whiplash at his sweet tendencies to nurture and care for her. The ones closest to him see his true feelings, but his insults to her just left a bad taste in my mouth for a lot of the book.
As with all HEAs, there’s a redeeming factor & when it is all explained and laid out, he’s worthy of her love. But feeling the need to put someone through the paces and tests that he did, all while truly loving them was just so infuriating. It made me hate him most of the book & made me feel like she was a pushover. BUT....to me, for writing to instill an emotion as strong as the anger I felt towards him, it shows that there is talent there.

Wow this was a fantastic read. I'm really shocked that I got into it so quick. I loved it from start to end and would happily read the rest of this authors work.

What is there to like?
Alfonso…The guy who doesn’t believe a word she says. Calls her a gold digger and basically a whore? Has a temper?
Tori…who is in love with a guy after one or two nights of good sex? In love with a guy that doesn’t trust or respect her?
I like dark romance so I was okay with him kidnapping her away, but I have to like at least one main character to continue.

Thank you, NetGalley for a copy of this book but omg it was not good at all. I think I like the idea of a kidnapper and their victim falling in love more than I like the actual execution. But it also could just be this book since I barely liked any of it. The MMC was mean to the FMC and the FMC was…questionable as well. The smut was minimal as well. I won’t say it was closed door romance but the scene descriptions were definitely vague.
