Wow what a story of commitment, love and support
A well written story. A marriage with it's normal setbacks, life hacks, struggles but still come put tops.
Makes you think of how much you love someone and are you willing to go together at the end. A decision made but will it happen or does life have other plans for you.

The book centre's around Evelyn and Joseph. It's 2001 and the couple bring together their children Jane, Thomas and Violet. They tell them in a years time they will be gone. They plan on taking their lives. They've seen the ending of others and they don't want their love story to end that way. Evelyn has been given a terrible prognosis and her husband can't picture a life without her.
We then have flashbacks to how the pair met and fell in love. A beautiful love story full of heartbreak and misunderstandings. But ultimately profound love.
Meanwhile they must try to make the most of their final year whilst battling with the emotions of the children and grandchildren. Will they be able to go through with the plan?
This is an emotional read. At the end of the book I sat back with tears falling. Hoping beyond hope that I will have a love story like this this.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to see an ARC.

Unapologetically romantic this novel is an ode to life. A message for us to realise time is short and to treasure every minute. But most of all it is a story of family and everlasting love.
Beautifully written with a complex narrative and authentic characters it will break and heal your heart.
