When Lex is offered a job protecting business man. It’s not her normal type of job. First of all Michael doesn’t think he is at risk. In fact all he needs is a fake girlfriend to keep a married woman away from him. Lex has to pretend to be a high class escort. To be up for the job Lex has to go through a makeover and unleash her inner femininity. Michael is torn he is attracted to her but believes she is a conniving gold digger. Thanks to her bio. As they spend time together Michael is even more confused, she is nothing like a gold digger should be. The chemistry between our hero and heroine is strong.
Can these two find their way to a happily ever after?
Pick up a copy and find out.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Dawn Hill Publications for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This book is set in England. This is a strange premise to me but I did enjoy the book. It is not very believable. Man, Carl was a creep! I liked the main characters Alex and Michael. 3.5 stars Fun and different read, and very quick.

It reads like a Wattpad book. I always try and read my ARCS with the utmost concentration as i value giving truthful criticism. I struggled to concentrate as the book didn't grip me. I felt nothing towards the characters at all and quite honestly Lex was pretty one-dimensional. I enjoyed the dialogue when she stood up for herself but I struggled to find Micheal likeable at all. Even his 'redeeming' moments don't do much as he spends the rest of the book being horrible. All on all, I understand why somebody might enjoy this. It's a short read with an Enemies to Lovers trope. Its just not for me.

Really great romance read! Very realistic and dynamic characters along with a dramatic and suspenseful plot. Fantastic writing by Hilliard. Thank you Netgalley and Dawn Hill for the digital arc!

This book was predictable to say the least but it was amazing just the same. The MMC and FMC had amazing chemistry and the slow burn was to die for. This was an amazing real life probable romance and not usually what i would read. However, I loved it just the same.

This book was beautifully written and i absolutely loved every part of it and some!

Thank you Netgalley and Ravina Hilliard for the opportunity to read and review this book

The Billionaire Needs a Body Guard by Ravina Hilliard
⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
Thank you so much for the honor of reading this ARC, I was really excited to see that I got approved for it! This was my first book by Hilliard I’ve read and it hooked me from the start. I loved the story of Lex and Michael, though I did want to throttle him on multiple occasions. But Lex is my new gold standard for patience and cunning. She was such an amazing FMC, and she handled everything that was thrown at her with grace and determination. I was pleasantly surprised with Michaels character development, while he annoyed me often because he was just rude, I still found myself rooting for him anyways. Or rather, I was rooting for Lex to reform him into a man who deserves someone like her (his lines at the end had my heart breaking for him!). I feel like the flow felt a bit inconsistent and some of the more unique vocabulary choices were unnecessary. However, overall this book was a great read! It was fun, with plenty of twists to keep us guessing. I am leaving this honest review willingly.

Great take on a role reversal

Overall, I think this author has some great potential. This was my first read of hers. I really enjoyed the story line & the role reversal. The plot was intriguing and kept my attention. I love that the female lead was protecting the male lead. The characters were both well developed even in the short book, which is sometimes hard to do. I loved Lex’s take control attitude & I loved how Michael was down to earth even though he was a billionaire.
The intimate scenes were steamy, but sometimes they frustrated me. Let me explain...she would be pissed at him for how he treated her or him being openly accepting of another woman’s advances, then in the next sentence, all it took was a glance for her to strip for him...no resistance towards him & no strong will from her.
I will say though, the use of big words...intelligent words kind of took away from the story line for me. I think myself to be fairly intellectual, but I felt downright dumb a few times. Maybe a little less use of the thesaurus would help. Don’t get me wrong, I could figure out what was being said just in context with the rest of the sentence. But having to look up words just be able to pronounce them (bc that’s how my brain works 😂) & sometimes to understand what it meant, it took away from the flow of the overall story.

Wow this was a fantastic read. I'm really shocked that I got into it so quick. I loved it from start to end and would happily read the rest of this authors work.

Similar to The Italian Billionaire Kidnapper this book was not for me. It was boring and the sex scenes were vague while also not being completely closed door. The morals of the characters were questionable. I’m not sure what this book’s intentions are as it’s not a dark romance but it’s not smutty while it’s also not contemporary either. It’s just a mess.
