A real step down from the first one unfortunately in terms of plotting, tone, and coherency. I felt totally unmotivated by the characters' arcs.

4.5 stars
Save a horse, ride a cowboy.
I have been loving cowboy romances recently and this one was no exception. After finishing Done and Dusted earlier in the month, I instantly wanted to pick up Swift and Saddled to see what was going to happen next with these characters and I was not let down.
These books are so short and easy to fall into and to fall in love with. Once you pick one of these books up, you will not be able to put it down until you finish it. Which is exactly what happened to me.
I flew through this book and fell head over heels with both Ada and Wes and loved seeing them slowly fall for each other. There is kind of a forbidden element to their relationship as he is her boss and she is helping him with his project on the ranch. There was just something about Wes that I couldn't help but fall for. This man was down bad for Ada and even though this book feels quite short, there was so much chemistry and romance between these two characters that you can't help but root for them to finally be together.
Just like in Done and Duster, there were so many hints to future novels and couples in this book and it has made me so excited for all of the other books in this series, especially the next one which is about Teddy and Gus who I have been dying for their book since I first met them in Done and Dusted.
I cannot wait to read more in this series so if there are any arcs for Lost and Lassoed, I would really like one please :)

Loved Wes and Ada
Can tell they're exactly what the other person needs
Wes is so kind and caring you just wanna hug him
When Ada looks after him when he got cut though MY HEART
You also just want to hug Ada for the things she's been through and how she was treated in her previous relationship. She deserves so much more. (Although the random phone call from her ex was never really explained, like why did he call? Surely he would've texted after she didn't pick up? Idk)
Got to see more of the beautiful Rebel Blue Ranch and the characters that I absolutely love. Seeing how Ada's friendships with Teddy, Emmy and Cam develops had me smiling bc you know that Ada just needed some good girlfriends in her life.

Cowboys are all the rage in the romance community right now, and not many do it quite as beautifully as Lyla Sage.
Wes and Ada were an adorable pair who deserved the world together, and their Black Cat/Golden Retriever personalities were so perfectly matched.
Love love love!

I would like to thank netgalley and Quercus Books for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This started off a little slow but I was loving it by the end. I loved the softness and enthusiastic consent.

I was so excited when I saw this was up for grabs having loved Done & Dusted. It was so nice to visit Rebel Blue and the characters again, especially as you get little glimpses of Emmy & Brooks again. This was a charming romance and I love the fact there are no big communication issues leading to a third act breakup as I find those quite predictable and, to be honest, boring. The author really explores their characters and the story felt so nicely rounded. I was sad to say goodbye to them again- but looking forward to the third when that makes an appearance!

This was just as good as the first! I absolutely loved it I think it could have been a bit longer maybe a bit more character development but apart from that it was chef kiss! I can not wait for Lyla’s third book I just love this family and I could read about there stories all the time!

thank you so much @netgalley for allowing me to review this book early!
as soon as I put down done and dusted I immediately needed this second book and oh my was it worth the wait!
in swift and saddled, we follow Ada, a city girl who moves to rebel blue ranch as an designer for the old building. after an incident on her first night at the bar, Wes and Ada have already briefly met before now having to live together!!
there is so much development in this book and the glimpse of all the other characters were perfect. i have connected with characters like this in a long time.
i absolutely cannot wait for the next book, im excited to hear everyone’s thoughts on 5th March🤎
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4 stars!
Swift and Saddled" by Lyla Sage tells the story of Ada Hart, a determined city girl who's sworn off men after a failed marriage. She travels to Wyoming for a new project but there she meets Weston Ryder. They have a very interesting encounter one night...only to find out the next day that he's her new boss.
The chemistry between Ada and Wes is undeniable, but Ada's past makes her wary of getting involved. Wes, on the other hand, is smitten and eager to break down Ada's walls. As they work together on the ranch project, sparks fly. Will Ada be able to let love in again?
I saw this book everywhere and I had to read it. It was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. There were a few things that didn't convince me, hence the 4 star rating. I feel like some things could have been addressed further. Other than that, it was such a pleasurable read and I will def read more by this author!
Arc received in exchange for an honest review.

WADA FOREVER!
Wes and Ada are such a good couple, everyone wants a Wes in their life! He is such a caring character, you instantly fall in love with him. The way she described his depression, I never could've found a beter way to describe it. I felt understood.
Ada's panick attacks and self doubt hits you right in the feels.
Also, the spice was spicy!
I love Lyla's writing style, it's easy to read!

I am officially in my cowboy romance era. I adore Wes so much. He is just so cute but also, I really like Lyla portrayed his depression and trying to live up to the family name. Ada is head strong so letting Wes in is difficult but is she willing to do it to finally have a happy ending?
A brilliant book from start to finish that will have readers swooning at certain scenes and did I say I was obsessed with Wes? Because I am.

Thank you to Quercus Books and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This is the second installment in the adventures of Rebel Blue Ranch.
The sequel follows on from book 1 with an MMC we have met before and a new FMC.
This falls under my favourite trope of Grumpy/Sunshine, with golden retriever Wes and Ada being very closed off.
Reading about these two opening up to each other was delightful and heart warming in all the right ways.
I would highly recommend and a must read for anyone who wants to check in on, our favourites Emmy and Luke!

I deeply thank the publisher for the chance to discover this series and read this book in advance.
Swift and Saddled is a lovely and heartwarming story for everyone who enjoys slow paced and cowboy/small town romance. I adored how the two main characters relate to each other without rush, and how Ada gradually became part of the family without it seeming forced by the plot. Plus, the "renovation" part of the house was well integrated in the story, and I liked it a lot. Nothing was left to chance even if they're small details.
I think one of the most strong elements of these romances remains the setting. It always trasmits a calm and steady atmosphere, that totally relaxed me, even when there were some serious elements to discuss (and talking about them, I think Lyla has the delicateness to deeper those themes more, If she'd want to).
That said, I'm so ready for the next two books, because we have very steamy and interesting premises! Totally recommended!

I LOVED this book! It was a bucket load of fun.
I understand the hype behind cowboy romances, these are addictive!
Swift and Saddled is the second in the Rebel Blue series but you can definitely read it as a stand-alone, as I did. You’ll still have the best time!
Ada and Wes were a great match. They complimented each other so well. They also didn’t have a miscommunication trope, which is a win! 🥳🥳
Wes was an absolute softie and Ada, a talented cutie! The family were all so supportive and just so wholesome.
This was the first book I’ve read by Lyla Sage and now I’m going to have to read her other one. I just need more Rebel Blue! I cannot wait for the next ones to come!!
As the saying goes, save the horse…
p.s special mention to Wes’ dimples, they were a highlight
Thank you Netgalley for the eARC!!
#SwiftandSaddled #NetGalley

What a sweet and heartfelt story. A super quick and easy read and the topic of mental health was treated with respect which was reflected in the writing. Lyla Sage is an author who knows how to write and I have thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! It was a great second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series by Lyla!
SOMEONE BOOK ME A ONE WAY TICKET TO WYOMING!!
Ada and West's love story had me swooning the entire time!
Also appreciated Lyla being up depression as that is something a lot of people in our society face and it was portrayed in a beautiful way.
All my small town girlies have to pick this one up!
5 stars no doubt about it and cant wait for more in this series

this book means everything to me!! a fmc who has gone through it, a mmc with depression?? this book was everything i needed and i truly cannot wait for the next one. such a comfort series for me <3

The sequel to the insanely popular first book in the trilogy, Done and Dusted. I swear, this book catapulted in every direction in the book community from TikTok to Instagram, even Facebook groups. Within a blink of an eye the book went from indie to traditionally published and rightly so, it was a fantastic book!
The Rebel Blue Ranch trilogy primarily focus on a family of ranchers – the Ryder family. In Swift and Saddled the book’s main sibling is Wes Ryder, the middle child desperate to find his place within the family and their legacy. He is desperately eager to renovate an old barn on the ranch and has recruited interior designer and project person Ada, a city girl who’s come to Rebel Blue for a fresh opportunity after an awful relationship and divorce.
The pair meet in the local dive bar and share a passionate kiss without knowing each other, which is a comical surprise the next day when Ada turns up to the Ranch to meet her new boss.
The pair bond over their shared project and the romance is impossible to ignore. It was a great read with fun scenes but also more serious ones. The side characters were present as well as Emmy and Luke from the previous book. I have to say, I think I am more excited for the next book because the banter between the characters and the tension is awesome to read.
Thank you for the eARC! Books one and two were great and I am looking forward to the third one!

I really, really enjoyed this book.
I loved Wes, he is such a golden retriever bf and after reading so many ‘alpha’ men it was refreshing. Don’t get me wrong he is hot and knows what he wants but he was respectful and I loved that.
The spice was on point!
Ada sounded like a broken record a lot of the time and I found it hard to connect with her but it didn’t affect my reading experience with this book!
I love the family, love the setting and Rebel Blue ranch.
I can’t wait for Teddys book!
Definitely recommend to readers.

Wow!
I really really enjoyed Wes & Ada's story.
Interior designer meets Cowboy.. Yes please!
Workplace romance with a Found Family.
Ada is a divorced designer looking for a new start.
The representation of Depression & mental health in Men in this book was done so well.
I giggled out loud, teared up and felt my heart smile while reading Swift & Saddled.
Congrats on your second release Lyla.
I cannot wait to read Book 3
