Elle can’t seem to shake her feelings for her ex after he left her high and dry a decade ago.
However, her world is on the verge of finally breaking into the big time: Paris fashion week!
I thought Cassie was a loving sister and went above and beyond to resolve her sister’s love life.
I love Poppy and Tristan’s relationship, it was my favorite part of the book.
I never warmed up to Leo. I thought it was a completely shitty thing he had done to Elle, no matter the reasons he had. I was lukewarm about their relationship but hey it’s not my story to challenge.
A second chance fashionista lovers story just in time for VDay.

I give this book 4*. It’s a lovely story about Elle Bliss who with her sister is a up and coming designer who is working hard to make their company a success. All this while still pining for her first love called Leo Jones. They met and fell in love in uni but he left and ghosted her ten years ago. She’s never got over him. Cassie her sister pulls out all the stops to help her find and get back together with him with the help of an agency.
It made me chuckle, cringe and laugh out loud with all the antics the great characters got up to in this story. A great read!
Many thanks to Boldwood Books for the chance to read this arc copy for review consideration via Netgalley.

It was fabulous to be back at The Ever After Agency ( although it could be read as a standalone) and to meet some wonderful new characters, looking for love ( or in this case looking for an old love!) Elle had never really gotten over the special relationship she had at university with Leo, he disappeared from her life completely, taking away her heart in the process. Elle’s sister wants to find closure for her and seeks out assistance from Poppy and the gang to find him and to throw them back together.
The backdrop of Paris Fashion Week adds an extra sparkle to an already dazzling story.
I loved the whole Will they won’t they saga, and seeing them reconnect with each other.
The twists within the story kept it interesting, and I loved the final outcome.

A very enjoyable novel with likeable characters and a good plot line. I was easily immersed in the storyline and enjoyed how the novel unfolded. It was a quirky concept that worked well. Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and the author for the chance to review.

✂A fashion couple need to be sewn back together?💞

This story is a bit scattered, more so than I'd have liked. Leo and Elle, the fashion designers who are the unknowing beneficiaries of matchmaking machinations to reunite them after an abrupt break-up ten years earlier, have a second chance at romance and the opportunity to rock their fashion brands. But there are stumbling blocks galore. The hurdles made the story interesting. But the frequent diversion to Poppy the matchmaker, with her friends, her newly-married coupledom and the company's office dynamics just slowed Elle and Leo's story. And I found the free matchmaking services for Poppy's client, in view of all the personnel, time and resources put into the case, just unrealistic. I also found Leo's behavior over the years and when Elle faces bad press because of him just not appealing. As a result, I did not gel very well with the characters.

I did not read the earlier novel about Poppy's first foray into matchmaking and I doubt I will go back and pick it up.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

This lovely story has relatable characters that you invest in from the start. It's set in the glamorous fashion world featuring Elle, a talented designer who has never recovered emotionally from how her relationship with Leo ended. She can't forget him, even though he has had no contact with her since his abrupt departure. Cassie, her sister and the business manager of Bliss Designs, reluctantly approaches the Ever After Agency to help Cassie find her lost love or at least closure because ten years is enough heartache for anyone. The story is the perfect mix of emotions, with laughter balancing the poignancy. I love the glamorous setting and the drama when Elle and Leo reunite. I like the characters, the relationship dynamics, the glitzy fashion setting and the passionate second-chance romance.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Ooohhhh this was fun and made me laugh in some places,
It started slow but picked up in the middle and then the end was so intense, with all the revelations and interruptions.
It’s very different from other books I’ve read as they are normally in the MMC and FMC’s POVs, but I still wish I got Leo’s POV.

Elle is so funny 😂
Leo should have tried earlier (10yrs is a freaking long time 😳).
I wish I read the book 1 so I’d get to know Poppy’s HEA story 🥹.
Franzia should have been sabotaged, that girl is evil.

💕

I have read the first of this series and I’m afraid I didn’t love this one quite as much as the first. I thought it felt too forced to weave in the extra story with shaz and Jacinda, It probably worked better as a stand alone book in which the Bliss sisters find themselves back in touch with Leo. It was funny in places, I was rooting for them to fall in love (again) and was an enjoyable read overall.

3,5* A nice engaging story, but I liked the first one of the serie better.

Elle's dream to become a famous fashion designer is a reality, she has her own brand and thanks to her sister, and manager, she has a spot in Paris fashion week. Something is still missing in her life though, she can't move on from her long lost love Leo. He disappeared ten years ago after a sudden need to live London and ghosted her ever since.

What will happen when it turns out he just changed his public persona to Lorenzo? The famous shoes and fashion designer that charmed everybody.

This book is the second in the serie of the Ever after agency. We find again Poppy, this time all loved up, trying to reconcile the long lost lovers. Working outside her comfort area she dives into fashion world trying her best between unaware designer, scheming sister, seemingly unavaible target and a jittery friend.
The story is nice, but it felt not so centered on the characters, as we get their POV chapters but also Poppy's ones and while I do like Poppy, Tristan and their friends it felt less focused on the main characters.

Thank you Boldwood books and NetGalley for providing this book as an arc in exchange of an honest review.

An intriguing and gripping story, I loved the characters and can't wait to read more by this author.

I enjoyed this book a lot and I would recommend it to fans of romantic comedies, especially those who like second chance and enemies to lovers tropes. It is a light-hearted and entertaining read that will make you laugh, swoon, and root for Elle and Leo’s happy ever after

Elle's sister Cassie loves her so much that she reaches out to a matchmaking agency - where we get to see Poppy everyone from the author's previous book - to find Elle's college love, the man she measures every other potential partner to and finds them lacking. Elle and Cassie are in business together in the UK - she's an aspiring designer and Cassie runs the business. Leo, Elle's college love, is also a designer; one who is making his mark in the US. It's been 10 years since they've seen each other. Find out what happens when they reunite.

Sandy Barker’s second book in her Ever After Agency series is full of great characters, laugher & complex situations that just continue to become more complex and out of control. Anyone in love with fashion, Paris/New York fashion week & reunited love will find this book enjoyable.

Poppy is tasked with reuniting Cassie’s sister, Elle, with the love of her life, Leo Jones. Elle, a current up and coming fashion designer, has spent years attempting to forget Leo, also a well known designer; he left with no explanations & Elle has never understood why. Poppy & Cassie work together to reunite Elle & Leo back however the case snowballs out of control with one complication after another.

This book can be read without having read the first book however I would recommend reading the first book as well. The series is fun, light-hearted & a delight to read.

Second-chance romance with a touch of the miscommunication trope? Plus, more insight into Poppy's happily ever after? YAY!

Up-and-coming fashion designer Elle Bliss is haunted by her first love. Despite Leo ghosting her ten years ago, she still compares every date to him. As her lifelong dream to show at Paris Fashion Week comes true, Elle finds herself face to face with the man himself. Only, he goes by 'Lorenzo' now and his public persona is not the man she loved - or is he? The more times their paths cross, and the real Leo stirs up long-buried emotions from their history, Elle begins to question if 'Lorenzo' is a public persona for the media. Can Poppy help Elle find her HEA?

While I loved Elle's relationship with her sister throughout the book, the miscommunication trope almost spoiled this one for me. I even found myself wanting fewer Poppy chapters and more from Leo's POV. Still, a genuinely cute read, and I'm excited to see what Poppy does next!

Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Sandy Barker for allowing me access to this book. All opinions are my own.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Leo and Elle have been together four years, when he leaves London and Elle, without telling her why.

Although Elle goes on dates, she doesn’t find someone who is like Leo was.

Her sister Cassie, contacts Ever After Agency to help find Leo and reunite them, before Fashion Week. But Elle has no idea that Cassie is meddling.

When they meet, we see that the feelings are still there between them.

Leo does all he can to get Elle to be with him again. Will he succeed?

I recommend this book.

This is a wonderful story that captured my attention from the first chapter. A great read, with realistic characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the twists and setting in a world I'm not that familiar with (fashion design).

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers, and Sandy!

I have clearly missed something seen by other reviewers in Shout Out to My Ex by Sandy Barker. For a start, I felt as though I'd come in halfway through a story and I don't think I ever recovered from my bafflement. And I've missed the laugh-out-loud humour that other reviewers have enjoyed. For me this was just another romance. There was nothing bad about it, but it never engaged me. But this is my personal response to it.

This one just didn’t hold my attention like I hoped. It had potential based on the synopsis and then I just really felt lost. I didn’t care for any of the characters. We had the miscommunication trope which is my least favorite. The matchmaker angle really made me request this but it turned into an FBI type vibe or like the matchmaker became what drove the whole plot without being a matchmaker? This one just wasn’t for me.

In this, the second book of the series, the Ever After agency is brought in to rekindle the romance between Elle and Leo by her sister Cassie after they split 10 years previously. Things naturally don't go to plan....
Although this is the second book in the series it can definitely be read as a standalone - but you would be missing out on a very good book. It is set in the world is fashion, not an area that I know anything about and in fact my knowledge of it can be written on the head of a pin, in capitals using 24point print. Saying that, although the fashion is an important part of the story, you don't need any knowledge of it, although it does give an insight into the industry. I was fascinated by the chicanery used to try to get the two together, it makes you wonder if there are any such agencies actually in existence. A book that I definitely enjoyed and there was a teaser for the next book in the series that I can't wait to read.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.
