I'm now totally convinced that this is going to be one fabulous series. After the previous which I completely loved, I was very curious just how this was going to be a series.

And now I have the answer, we get two main characters, two viewpoints, one of them being Poppy our leading lady from before, who works at the Ever After matchmaking agency, and we get to catch up with her life, as well as getting to see all of the ups and downs of her new case.

For of course the other viewpoint is the new customer, Elle, except that Elle doesn't know the agency exists but her sister has hired them on her behalf to see if they can find Elle's lost love Leo.

Set in the world of fashion, I loved Elle's excitement at her first ever Paris Fashion week show, and seeing her re-meet and be expected to collaborate with Leo, who is now a shoe designer Lorenzo, is a lot of fun.

But in amongst many complications one thing is clear, there may still be on some level at least a connection between the pair, but nothing is simple

And the skills of everyone at Ever After who are working on this case, and trying to make sure nothing goes awry while dealing with some high profile people, was awe-inspiring.

I think I would love to be Paloma, who's troubleshooting skills are second to none.

There is so much to love in this story and I had a absolute ball reading it.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Shout Out To My Ex by Sandy Barker is the second in The Ever After Agency series, a book series about the staff and clients of a very exclusive and very hush hush London based matchmaking service, but it can absolutely be read as a stand alone. That being said I do recommend checking out the first book, Match Me If You Can as it is a really fun read and introduces you to the various staff members at the agency who obviously make an appearance in this latest book.
This book is all about the second chance romance trope, telling the story of up and coming fashion designer Elle Bliss who is still pining for her first love, Leo, her best friend and boyfriend from fashion college who ended things abruptly then disappeared back to America never to be heard from again. Elle's sister and business partner is fed up of her moping and thinks that if she can reconnect Elle and Leo, at the very least her sister will get the closure she needs but if things go well , maybe they could even rekindle their romance. She hires the Ever After Agency to find Leo and arrange an apparently serendipitous meeting, and you can probably guess how things go from there.
Obviously the course of true love never runs smoothly, and especially not in a romance novel so be prepared for miscommunication, forced proximity and an unexpected fiance to throw a spanner in the works. Add in the excitement of Paris fashion week and a trip to the most romantic city in the world and you are in for a treat .
This is a sweet and funny book , perfect escapism for this time of year. The plot may be predictable but there is nothing wrong with that, especially in a romance novel when a happily ever after is the only acceptable outcome, the real enjoyment is the journey the author takes you on along the way, and of course the company she provides for you while doing it, and neither is lacking in this book. Setting the book in the world of fashion and design brings lots of fun and frivolity and plenty of humour too and I really liked the characters, especially Elle and her sister , and it was nice to see some familiar faces from the first book again.
I read and reviewed an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher, all opinions are my own.

Sandy Barker is another of my 'Must Read' authors. Having read the first in the Ever After Agency series with much joy, it was a no-brainer to read the second, Shout Out To M Ex.
Cassie loves her fashion designer sister, Elle, very much and hates seeing her failing in her relationship goals, even though her professional star is rising. She contacts the agency to see if they can help her locate and possibly reignite a flame that burned bright and then extinguished ten years ago, suddenly.
To put it plainly, she wants them to find Elle's first love, Leo, who, despite them being love's dream for four years, suddenly upped and left, with no contact. It seems Elle cannot move forward in love unless she gets closure or finds the one who got away.
But this all needs to be done secretively.
Engineering a meeting between Elle and Lorenzo (Leo) is the first step once he has been located. The rest just gets better and better as we learn more about Leo, his reasons for disappearing for such a long time, and the wily ways of PR managers as they twist the truth to benefit their clients.
Set in the dramatic, colourful world of fashion, we see so much uncovered as Poppy, Nasrin, and the gang at the agency come up with ideas to overcome the endless blocks that keep being thrown at them, including a fake engagement.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Elle and Leo's story and felt all the butterflies with Elle as she navigated her feelings towards the one who got away.
Though it can be read easily as a standalone, I loved that we were revisiting the story of Poppy, who works at the elite matchmaking agency, as well as coming on board for another matchmaking journey that she has been tasked with piloting, and Tristan, her husband, who, she meets and marries in the first book.
And it; is always great to read about other key characters who were in past books.
Roll on book 3!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC

This was a simple, fun, easy and quick read. The perfect type of book for your holiday, beach, pool kind of read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

This is book 2 of the Ever After Agency series. It can be read as a stand-alone but you definitely benefit from having read book one because some of the characters are introduced in the first book.
This one takes fashion designer Ellie Bliss to her first showing in Paris Fashion week and has her sister, Cass, hires the Ever After Agency to find Ellie’s long lost first love, Leo, who mysteriously disappeared 10 years ago after breaking Ellie’s heart. Now 10 years later, Leo goes by Lorenzo and is a famous shoe designer and is also going to be showing at Paris Fashion Week as well as Poppy and the members of the Agency soon find out.
Poppy and Cass work to get Ellie her HEA and finally get the story as to why Leo disappeared all those years ago.
This was a fun second chance romance told from alternating POV and sweeps you away to the bright lights of Paris and the behind the scenes of the fashion world.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

Shout Out to My Ex is the second novel in the Ever After Agency series. Since each novel features a new couple, each could be read as a standalone. The story follows fashion designer Elle Bliss who is achieving her dream by showing in Paris Fashion Week. It ties into the first novel through the Ever After Agency when Cass, Elle’s sister, hires them to reunite Elle with her ex, Leo. The two broke up when Leo mysteriously disappeared about 10 years ago, so the story not only explores the two reuniting, but also explains what happened all those years ago. Leo now goes by Lorenzo and is a famous shoe designer, so the two not only have history, but they also are in the same fashion universe.

Not only is the story told by the main characters, but also includes Poppy, the main character from the first novel and in charge of the Agency. Poppy and Cass worked hard to get Leo and Elle back together, which was entertaining. I am not quite sure that I bought Leo’s reason for cutting contact, but I did think the two had great chemistry. The two characters met at fashion design school and were together for four years before Leo left. The agency brings them back together and their time spent together is at Paris Fashion Week. Since I didn’t read the first novel in the series, I feel I am missing out on Poppy’s backstory. I get a little here and there as she is a narrator, but I needed more. I think if I read both novels, then I would have connected more to her actual story; however, I did enjoy how she tied into Elle’s story. I think the agency as the main tie between the novels was great and did entice me to try Poppy’s novel next and read the next novel in the future. As for Elle and Leo, I think they had a great foundation for a romance, but I do feel it was a little lacking. I think I needed a little more exploration would have helped. Overall, this was an intriguing story and I continue to enjoy Barker’s work.

**I give a special thank you to Netgalley and the publisher, Boldwood Books, for the opportunity to read this entertaining novel. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.**

3.5 ⭐️ rounded up because Sandy Barker is hilarious.

This book was the most discombobulated, hot mess, sisterly love & happy miscommunications I’ve ever read. The joy and sorrow in this book remained honest and optimistic, and it is worth your while to read! It felt like a reality television show in the way it captures your attention. I especially loved the continued inclusion of Poppy + Tristan’s love story from book 1 woven throughout!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Well, I absolutely loved this book. I tend not to read other reviews before I write my own, but I did notice someone mention they couldn't follow the POVs, There are two, and I actually really liked this aspect of the book, especially since they are clearly labeled (made the book even more pacy for me). I love getting into a character's head!

This book gave me all the feels. It promises an HEA, laughs, a dynamic enemies-to-lovers troupe, sisterly connections and friendships, and boy does it deliver. Some old friends show up, having read the first book in the series, and was glad to see Poppy again. Can't wait for the next book in this Ever After series. So enjoyable and it can easily be read as a standalone.

This book would appeal to fans of Emily in Paris and anyone who enjoys stories from Meghan Quinn, Sophie Kinsella and Abby Jimenez.

Thank you to Boldwood, the author and NG for the read. Sandy Barker is my favorite!

This book was a little tough for me to follow. With each chapter being from three different character’s musings . It helped with the background of the story but was still confusing to follow who was who. I didn’t realize this was the second in the series. While it can read as a standalone I feel like I would understand a little more getting the matchmaking cast of characters. The story of Elle and Leo reuniting and their love story was the main focus. There were just so many other moving parts. Thank you to NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

I would like to thank netgalley and Boldwood Books for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This was another enjoyable tale from the agency. I was a little confused at the start as to how it was all going to fit in, and I don't know if the 3 povs work.

I didn't realize there was a first book in this series, so was a bit behind the curve at first, but the author helps catch you up to speed in the first few chapters. This is a multiple perspective story, but focuses on Elle and her Shoemaker...with themes of forgiveness, reunification, and miscommunication woes. There are heavy moments, with deep emotions, and there are light moments that are simply ludicrous....and the author balances these perfectly. I look forward to seeing what case Poppy takes on next!

This series is fast shaping up to be one of my favourites! I loved book one, and I was really happy to see Poppy (and Tristan) return in book two. If you haven't read book one, read that first and thank me later.

This book put me in mind of Emily in Paris and The Devil Wears Prada (which is a Very Good Thing!). I love a good second chance romance, and this one is gorgeous, with the added glamour of Paris Fashion week. Elle and Leo make a convincing couple and I really rooted for them all the way. I also loved the family relationship between Elle and her sister Cassie, and that the two POVs were Poppy (the matchmaker) and Elle (the matchmakee, if that's a word), rather than the two lovers, as I would've expected.

Recommended for anyone who loves swoony romance in a glamorous location! Roll on book three, I hope Sandy Barker is writing away furiously because we need another matchmaking case for Poppy!

Thank you to Boldwood and Sandy Barker for the advance copy.

This was a slow one for me. It was a good concept -an independent fashion designer and her collection.
I enjoyed the story, it started off well, getting to know Elle and Bliss designs. There was a bit where it got a bit slow for me. I found it picked up again just after halfway through when the romance picked up and the revelations started.

I liked Cassie and felt there was a lot more to her character that could have come out or developed.

Poppy was cute but i'm guessing she was part of a previous story that I haven't read so I didn't quite understand the fasination with her friends.

Overall a good story, thank you to @boldwoodbooks @theBoldBookTok @netgalley for this arc

This is a fun series about a matchmaking agency in London. This book is the second installment. Poppy is contacted by Cassie who wants her to find her sister's ex boyfriend who ditched her after college.

Total fluff but I loved it.

I really enjoyed this fashion based second chance romance. Elle was such a likable character and even when she tried to act like she didn't like Leo anymore, I knew they would end up together. Poppy was also a likable character as the matchmaker/undercover reporter. Fashion books are always fun and I loved the Paris Fashion Week scenes. There was a miscommunication trope, but I still do not feel like Leo did anything intentionally wrong. It was not his idea to date the model or get "fake engaged"

I'm in two minds about this book. First off, I really enjoyed reading this, which is why I have decided to give 4 stars (3.5 stars rounded up) after all. One of the things I really liked about the story is that it was told from the perspective of our Heroine, Elle, as well as someone who isn't part of the couple-to-be, Poppy. Having previously read about Poppy's Happy Ever After in Match Me If You Can, I enjoyed this throwback. I also find it refreshing not to have both parties' point-of-view - that keeps up the suspense. Speaking of, there was a lot of suspense in this story, and the plot really drew me in. Another plus point for the fact that our heroes were not fighting each other but rather working together to solve a problem that affected them both, with decent communication between them. However, having said all that, I feel like the romance aspect of this story fell short. The chemistry between the characters was somewhat palpable, but there were very few steamy or swoon-worthy moments and it felt like the characters' romantic feelings were taking the backseat. Overall, I would label this an enjoyable read, but I think some readers looking for a feel-all-the-feelings romance might be disappointed.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC. This was cute read. I did not read the first in the series but would love too. Not sure if it will help enhance this book for me. This book is based in Paris during Fashion Week. There is a second chance lovers trope (which I love). Overall, a cute romance with some twist and turns.

Overall the story is cute and definitely a different take on a second chance romance. I really enjoyed the Poppy as a character and really loved reading about her helping Elle get her HEA. This story did take me awhile to get into. It wasn’t as gripping and attention grabbing as I thought it was going to be but about half way through I did start to enjoy it a lot more.

Thank you Netgalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!.

I absolutely INHALED this book. Sandy Barker is the queen of a rom-com, she writes an absolutely perfectly flawed character and I totally loved the entire plot and every character that was thrown in for this journey of the second instalment of this series.

There were plenty of laughs, - no irritation at the miscommunication trope (BIG deal for me), and I liked that she managed to keep us on our toes when the predictability of this genre usually has us readers guessing what was coming. Whilst we all love a happy ending, I loved the journey this one took us on.

Can not wait to read more!!
