This took me a little while to get into and I think its because I haven't read book 1 and got to know Poppy first. Loved Elle's story and the fashion side was more interesting than the agency side for me. An easy read with some good characters.

Fairly predictable rom com but it was still a good read that I enjoyed. Who I am kidding I loved this one.

I have enjoyed Sandy Barker books before, but I haven’t reviewed one in some time. The Ever After Agency series is one I’m coming into on the second book, as this is book 2.

I loved the sisters’ relationship. Cassie was a great sister. Both are honest and fun. I loved how Poppy, the main character, studied fashion design. I loved Leo from the first description but not how things ended with him.

The writing style was realistic and fun, as well as funny. The short chapters in alternating point of view were perfect for this book.

Poppy’s honeymoon was dreamy. Shaz, her best friend, is someone I am glad is in her life. Tristan is the perfect husband in my opinion.

Shout Out to My Ex is feelgood, and the fashion part of the plot and Paris Fashion Week (I felt jealous and really wanted to go!) I was rooting for the team as they fought to finish the collection in time.

Investigation, fastion, life and love? Yes please, Sandy Barker, they are a winning combination. I am looking forward to catching up with book 1, and hope there are more in the series.

Each character’s interpretation, and experience of , life, were other things that made the book enjoyable for me.

Thanks to Sandy Barker, Boldwood Books and Rachel’s Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Shoutout to My Ex is a fun read as Sandy Barker’s often are. Also a fun dive in the whirlwind world of fashion and a nice trip to Paris.

'Leo,' I say, 'it's incredible!
'It's us, Ellie!

A great book in my opinion to read on Valentine’s Day!!! A second chance, friends to lovers romance with some fun twists and turns and some not so side characters coming straight from book one in this series, keeping the reader entertained and part of the story. Elle and Leo’s romance was so sweet and “swoony” (iykyk) that you can’t help but love them and be a fan of their HEA. And Poppy … I have to admit I haven’t read book one but she seems like a crazy amazing character to meet, so I really thing I have to get back to that one!! I think it’s safe to say that this is a bit spoilers for what happens there since we’re talking about Poppy’s story but it’s harmless spoilers so I’m good to go. I’m very glad I got to meet these characters and be, even temporarily, part of their romantic fashion week!!!

Sandy Barker does it again! Writing a book that feels like my friend is telling me a story, I love her writing style. I was so shocked that the dual POV this time was not the two people in the couple, but in fact our FMC and Poppy, our FMC and match maker from the first book. I loved this twist!

I had a really hard time with the reason the couple had not been in contact for 10 years. He just, ghosted her after a 4 year relationship and without a solid answer as to why, she got back together with him? It was very frustrating to watch this happen. In a way, this gave me an insight into Elle's psyche and how frustrated she probably felt. There were also moments when she was questioning him where they would just stop the discussion and start talking about other things and that left me yelling "GET ON WITH IT".

Overall, great second book. Loved revisiting Poppy's world and seeing the updates in her life.

I really enjoyed this book, it was fun and flowed really well. This was my first book by this author and I was a little confused when I realized it was told by the perspective of the female lead and the female lead from the previous book. That being said, I think it made a lot of sense for the premise of the series as a whole. Overall really happy with this book and can't wait to read more!

Elle Bliss was ghosted by the most incredible man she's ever met. Fast-forward 10 years, and Elle is an up-and-coming fashion designer and about to crush Parish Fashion Week. But, BAM, she runs into her ex, who seems to have adopted a whole new personality. Will she forgive him for leaving her without an explanation, or go to war with her fashion rival?

Call me a softie, but I love a rom-com that is full of desire, drama, and personal growth. Elle is an incredibly relatable character, and I couldn't help but cheer as she headed toward her own HEA.

I also read this as a stand-alone novel, and it was an incredible escape full of drool-worthy locations (hello Paris!), authentic characters, and a heartwarming message of true love. I was introduced to Poppy, who was the main character from Book 1, and her hilarious scenes made me want to dive into her novel as well.

The pacing is very well executed, and the two women's POVs allow this novel to have the perfect balance of romance and humor. Overall "Shout Out To My Ex" is a lighthearted, fun read that dives into the relationship dynamics of family and partners and will leave you with a smile on your face.

After fashion design school and 4 years of loving each other, Leo leaves London and Elle behind without a single word. Elle spends the next 10 years trying to find the right man for her, but none measure up to Leo. Her meddling sister, Cassie, hires Ever After Agency to help reconnect the lovers right before Fashion Week. Leo and Elle are not privy to the match making though. From the minute we see Leo and Elle together, their connection and love is palpable even if Elle hasn’t quite agreed yet. Leo does some grade A groveling and makes swoon-worthy plays to win back Elle, which works in Cassie’s favor. I quite enjoyed this one and would recommend it.

Has Sandy Barker done it again? You bet she has!

SHOUT OUT TO MY EX is the second book in the Ever After Agency series. In SOTME, we meet Elle and Leo, fashion designers who reunite 10 years after their difficult break up.

I loved the first book in the series and this one was a truly delightful read. I loved how driven both characters were and how hard they worked for their passions. I particularly loved Elle and Cassie's relationship - it felt real, supportive and loving, in all the best ways!

Overall the book was well written, well paced and exactly what I needed! And even better - the third act conflict was over quickly (thank you Sandy!) and our lovers end up happily ever after.

READ FOR:
❤️Second chance romance
💓Enemies to lovers
👫The one that got away

This is a nice enjoyable read. Where the main leads are separated after university and the female lead is utterly heartbroken. She puts her all into her fashion brand that she owns with her sister. Her sister has a side hustle which has the female leads best interest at heart - will she be able to pull of finding her sisters lost love?

I really enjoyed the family and friendship input in this book. And it was very well written with how the storyline pulled together.

This was the first book I read by this author. This book is the second part of the series. I think it would have been easier to get into this book if I had read the first part of the series. I got a little confused when the narrators were two women - the FMC of the book and the FMC of the previous book. This seemed a bit confusing at first. But once I got into the story, it was a really pleasant read.

The fashion world is interesting, and second chance is a nice trope. This worked really well as a nice reading for relaxation.

thank you netgalley and boldwood books for sending me an arc <3

before reading shout out to my ex and meeting elle and leo’s love story, you should definitely read “match me if you can” which is the first book in the ever after agency ! poppy’s presence makes more sense if you read book one !!!

poppy is the fmc of book one which makes this book so interesting because we can see the story happening from three povs. she works at the ever after agency where they work as matchmakers and poppy meets cass (elle’s sister), the new client to the agency who has a different case in which she wants to find her sister’s ex and make them reconnect <3

elle and leo dated while they were studying fashion design at college but right before graduation leo disappeared without explaining anything and now ten years has passed. poppy and her team are able to locate leo and it turns out he has been in the city for a couple of months but under the name “lorenzo”, the new famous designer from new york.

poppy and cass do everything to make elle and leo fall in love with each other again, but they never did fall out of love. elle was just mad at him because he disappeared and didn’t reach out while leo was frustrated at himself and his dad beside his manager’s ideas.

the help was a good idea because when they met for the first time after years, elle ruining far away from him wasn’t the goal but both of the will be attending paris fashion week as designers with their lines.

as a lot of people, i skipped book one and i regret it, i feel like if i had read poppy’s book this one would be more interesting but i loved seeing her pov, you don’t see three povs in romance books if it isn’t for love triangle. i enjoyed reading the book but i felt like everything was in slow motion because leo took his time to explain himself and they only got together by the end but poppy and cass working together was cool !!!

This is a fantastic four-star read. This is number two in the Ever After Agency series, and I must admit I haven’t read number one, I don’t know if that’s why I didn’t get the story as quick as I would have liked, but overall, it was a great story. I really liked the different POV, as you really get to hear the stories from so many different POV, so that really added something extra to the story. I like the time elapse, as it can be difficult to have a heavy relationship when you are a young adult, but coming back to them years later, adds that extra something to your relationship, maybe I enjoy it as myself and my husband have the same time elapse. This was a good story, but I did feel like I was missing a couple of bits, so I do plan on going back to number one, before I get my hands on number three.

I enjoyed reading this book a lot. It was fun and quirky and emotional, everything I'm looking for! I loved that you felt a connection to the characters right from the start and it was an easy read. Also great concept and setting.

Shout Out To My Ex by Sandy Barker is the second book in a book series called Ever After Agency, the first one is Match Me If You Can and yes read it before you read this one if you haven't.

I loved being back in Poppys world at the agency with a new and interesting case.
We get to meet two sisters that are easy to like and one of them sets up a meeting with the agency in secret to find her sisters true love that disappeared without a explanation.
Since this is a secret case it was fun to see how it all was gonna go down and if they would find the other sisters long lost love or not.

The book is set in London but we also get to travel to Paris for fashion week since the characters in the book are designers.

I really enjoyed this book with good twist and turns, all the secretive and that might include a second chance trope.

Now I am waiting with excitement for the third book in the series.

Shout Out To My Ex was kindly provided as an ARC by Netgalley and Boldwood Books. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy this wonderful book!

Release Date: 2/14/24

This is the second book in the Ever After Agency series, and honestly, it’s just as much fun as the first (you also don’t need to read the first one to follow the second)!

We get to know Elle, who is still missing her boyfriend from a decade ago, and comparing every man she meets to him. The problem is, he disappeared one day, and she never knew why.

Cassie decides to recruit the Ever After Agency to try and find this guy (Leo), and obviously, chaos ensues. The entire story has so many great twists and turns, and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next.

Add in the backdrops of London and Paris, and you have a really fun story about love, loss, fashion, and a little bit of drama.

Welcome back to the Ever After Agency! This series is so engaging. The concept of the agency is unique and even a bit quirky. The characters are relatable and I love Poppy. This case was a bit different, as the subject of the HEA wasn't the client. I was totally rooting for Elle and Leo. It's amazing to me that such detailed and creative worlds are created in this series. The setting of the fashion industry was compelling to read about. Definitely recommend starting with book 1!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
