Thank you, NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the copy of Keep Your Friends Close by Joanne Ryan. The description of this book was dynamite and I was so excited to read it. For some reason, the writing did not connect with me. I don’t mind first-person narratives, but there was so much internal dialogue that was inconsequential it was exhausting. I liked the final reveal because it was such a surprise, but it felt like the book had lost steam by the time it finally happened. This book had such a great plot, I look forward to reading more books by Ryan.

When a new book by Joanne Ryan appears i stop what i'm reading immediately, For me there is nothing better than a murder thriller involving real people in realistic situations. This is yet another cracker of a read and even though i got where it was going i still loved every bit of it. I flew through at a ridiculous page which is slightly annoying......but all my own fault. My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
