In this thrilling conclusion to the Missing in Alaska series, we finally get Nolan & Ivy's story. I love how the author gently weaves in the characters from the previous stories. The Christian elements are gentle and generally background but I appreciated how clean the romance is. Readers who enjoy Christian suspense and especially fans of Elizabeth Goddard will not be disappointed in this story.

I really wanted to like this book. I've read lots of other books by Ms. Goddard, and have like them all. This book seemed to start in the middle of Jack and Ivy's story. I have read the other books in the series. I guess I needed to go back and re-read the other books before reading this one. Jack and Ivy spent a lot of time trying to avoid their feelings for each other. Just come out and say how you feel. Jack let Ivy leave twice before he was convinced to go after her. The mystery was good and kept me guessing.

Alaska- a remote and beautiful place and very hard for State Trooper Nolan Long to police. Equally hard for former FBI agent Ivy Elliot to search for a missing giirl who has a unique lost manuscript attributed to Jack London. Ivy and Nolan met last summer and neither one can forget that short but sweet week.
Full of intrigue, harrowing adventures and appealing romance, this story has sinister overtones and an unexpected mystery lurking in the permafrost.
I loved seeing characters from previous books. The writing is solid, the plot riveting and the faith element was skillfully imparted.
Another intense offering in a noteworthy series by an excellent author.

Florida or Alaska? I know which one I would prefer. Can this couple find what they are looking for and be allowed to choose which one is for them. Several nail-biting moments. An exciting page turner. One I wish I had been reading during the heat of summer. Brrr! All that snow and ice. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary. I look forward to reading more by Elizabeth Goddard.

Hidden in the Night is the third book in the Missing in Alaska series. While characters from the previous books do make appearances, this could be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

I have found that my very favorite suspense books are so often set in Alaska... there's just something about that setting that takes whatever elements of danger are already existing in the story and heightens them thanks to the geographical dangers that already exist there. It just keeps me on the edge of my seat all that much more. This one was no exception. The author does a great job of making us feel that danger and keeps us guessing as to what will happen next. I loved this idea of a missing Jack London manuscript and thought the story was executed brilliantly. The romance was balanced perfectly with the suspense and I found I really enjoyed Nolan and Ivy together.

If you enjoy Christian romantic suspense, this is certainly one you'll want to check out.

An exciting, action-packed romantic suspense story set in Southeast Alaska. Some returning characters from the other books, but otherwise a new set of people thrust into the middle of a dangerous situation.

A complex plot, with a significant backstory, plus a lot of people to keep track of, this one kept me on my toes. The last half flew by with increasing peril and clues lining up to point to who was the behind all of the danger. It made me appreciate what actual law enforcement officers must go through to keep law and order in wilderness areas. A few scriptures and quick prayers added some light in dark moments.
Readers who enjoy romantic suspense may enjoy this series.

Ivy Elliott is in Alaska searching for an unpublished Jack London manuscript. She discovers that the woman selling it doesn't have it; her granddaughter has run off with the copy. Ivy offers to find the granddaughter to purchase the book. She immediately encounters trouble and reunites with Nolan Long, an Alaska State Trooper she met a few months earlier.
Nolan and Ivy embark on a quest to find the girl and the manuscript. They must unravel the mystery surrounding the murder of the granddaughter's uncle and her disappearance. The manuscript is rumored to be cursed, and Ivy learns it may lead to gold.
It appears numerous shady characters are pursuing the couple.

This book gets an absolute must-read five plus stars from me because it has everything I enjoy in romantic suspense and then some! The plot includes a missing young woman, a missing Jack London manuscript and a murder, plus romance that is just starting to simmer. The plot is deeply immersive and I was quickly engaged in cheering for Nolan and Ivy, hoping that they could find the missing Danna unharmed. The research made the story authentically fascinating, especially the information about the glaciers and the mystery surrounding the manuscript. The entire story gave me a sense of being there, experiencing the building tension and the necessity to hurry before disaster struck. The multi-layered plot teasingly revealed the details methodically and with so much dramatic action that the book was unputdownable. Infused with spiritual truth and a sparkle of a beginning romance, the last book in the Missing in Alaska series blew me away with its realism and the sharp writing that made it a compelling and edgy read for me. I enjoyed the characters and was stunned by the surprising revelation of the identity of the villain. I really enjoyed finding out facts about this scenic and mysterious state of Alaska; the author paints a vivid picture that makes it easy to imagine the setting and place myself into the story. There are plenty of clues and red herrings and so much happening to favorite characters that I was intrigued by the fact that I had no idea what to expect next. This book has intense suspense that is brilliantly written and cleverly paced. I am sorry to see the series end here, but I have no doubt that the author will create a new series that is equally well-crafted and totally mesmerizing.

Elizabeth Goddard knows how to turn a setting into a villain and has done so with each book of this series, and “Hidden in the Night” is no exception, showing the beauty and danger of Alaska. Ivy is looking for redemption from a past wrong and also has another past relationship to consider with the hero in the story—although they didn’t date in the past. I liked how she and Nolan weeded through their emotions as they piece together the whereabouts of a teen girl and find a missing manuscript.

It was nice to see the main characters from her previous stories. I appreciate how she skillfully touched on a hard subject matter of trafficking.

Hidden in the Night is great for fans of vacation reads, suspense, second chance romance, whodunnits, mysteries, redemption, revenge, and faith.

I received this book through Net Galley and was not required to give a positive review.

There is plenty of suspense and mysteries to solve in this last book in the series. Former FBI agent Ivy Elliott is back in Alaska to purchase a lost Jack London manuscript for her mother. Now the manuscript and the woman's granddaughter who took it are missing. Alaskan State Trooper was going to take a chance and surprise his 'Sunshine Girl' Ivy in Florida, but Ivy is in Alaska and he has to cover for a missing trooper. Their cases and their investigations intertwine as Nolan wants to keep Ivy safe. There is a lot more to the story, but I don't want to spoil it. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is a good read. I found that Nolan and Ivy tried keeping their attraction hidden was realistic in keeping their focus on their investigations.

Another great romantic suspense by Elizabeth Goddard. The book was full of twists and turns that kept you guessing. I loved the way all the different lines of investigation came together. There were aspects of the ending that were unexpected which made for an enjoyable read.

Mystery, suspense, and romance is what Elizabeth Goddard's readers are hoping for and Hidden in the Night delivers. Ivy Elliott's has traveled from Florida to Alaska in search of a lost manuscript with a questionable history. Her mom is sick, but there's something pressuring her to follow-through. Something someone knows. She needs to get her hands on the manuscript.

Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long is ready for a vacation--but his plans to travel to Florida to look up Ivy Elliott are sidelined when a murder occurs and he ends up being the only trooper available. Another surprise? His very reason for traveling to Florida has shown up on his doorstep. Literally.

Lots of plot twists and good romantic storyline development. Alaska makes for a beautiful and formidable setting. This is the final book in the trilogy, but it can be read as a stand-alone novel. Goddard easily introduces characters that appeared in previous novels in a natural way.

What a fantastic end to the Missing in Alaska trilogy!

Readers finally get to read Nolan Long’s story toward happily-ever-after. Ivy Elliott is come to Alaska in search of a lost manuscript by the famed author Jack London. But what was supposed to be a simple point of sale turns into a frantic search for the missing manuscript, taken by a missing teenager. Ivy joins forces with Nolan to search for the missing girl – uncovering a plot more treacherous than the Alaska wilderness.

Though this novel starts out slower than the previous two, there is plenty of action, suspense and mystery to keep the story moving. Twist after twist will keep readers turning the pages long after the daylight hours.

Characters from Shadow Gap assist Ivy and Nolan in their efforts to find the missing girl and retrieve the manuscript. This story has it all – murder, mayhem, natural disasters, enemies from unexpected places, and a slow burn romance that tie up the series well.

A series that definitely requires a re-read from start to finish.

The story opens with Ivy looking to meet up with Alina, but she doesn't show. Hank takes her to Alina who request Ivy find Danna who was sent to stay with her Uncle Nuna, and she has the manuscript with her. Nolan is set to head out on vacation when he's called out to a crime scene. This story weaves in layer upon layer of the mysterious manuscript and finding Danna, as well as trying to figure out who is after Ivy. We also see Autumn and Grier as well as Otis and Sanford and meet a few new people along the way. A page turning story, with some surprises along the way. This author does a great job of weaving an intricate plot and leaving the answers until almost the end.

A complimentary copy was provided by Revell via NetGalley. A review was not required and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is the third in a series about a close community in Shadow Gap, Alaska.
I enjoyed the return of characters from the previous books in this series. Nolan and Ivy were introduced as very likable characters. The Christian aspect of this book was integral to the plot. Ivy is visiting Alaska looking for a manuscript. Her contact has disappeared, she connects with Nolan as the case spirals into dangerous territory.
Once again, I want to say how much I loved this book. The setting was vividly described, the characters were brought alive, amidst a twisting plot in this murder mystery that had just the right mix with romance.

When Ivy Elliott’s mom sends her to Alaska again to purchase one of Jack London’s missing manuscripts, Ivy feels conflicted. She wants to see the handsome Alaska State Trooper, Nolan Long, again, but her mom’s cancer treatments aren’t going well. Her mom’s business partner is blackmailing her, and Ivy doesn’t know how she’ll survive in the dead of winter in such a cold climate.

When she arrives in Shadow Gap, she discovers the manuscript has vanished, along with the seller’s granddaughter. Ivy, a former FBI agent, promises to help find the granddaughter because she knows what it’s like to lose a family member to violence. But will her promise put her own life in danger?

While Nolan Long prepares to take two weeks of vacation and surprise the beautiful woman he can’t get out of his mind, he has no idea his Sunshine Girl has arrived in Shadow Gap. When he meets up with her at a crime scene, his law enforcement instincts tell him something is off. Has she only come to buy a rare manuscript? Why would she leave her mother alone in Florida? They’ve only spent one unforgettable week together, but neither has learned to trust the other completely.

Will teaming their expertise draw them closer or tear them apart? Will it make them safer or endanger them both?

What I Loved About This Book

Goddard knows how to keep readers hooked from the first sentence to the last one. The plot twists and turns all over beautiful southeast Alaska. In the tradition of Jack London, Goddard skillfully uses the weather as both an antagonist and protagonist. I also love how Goddard addresses some social justice questions facing Alaska Natives. What we don’t know CAN hurt us (and others).

Although part of a series, readers can enjoy Hidden in the Night as a standalone novel. If you love edge-of-your-seat suspense where characters struggle with questions of faith, you’ll enjoy this book. Romance lovers will enjoy the sweet romance between Ivy and Logan.

But when she arrives, she learns the manuscript is gone--taken by the granddaughter of the woman who possessed it. Ivy sets off in pursuit, not just to save the manuscript but to save the vulnerable girl, who was previously trafficked and has no idea what she's getting herself into. Joining forces with Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long, whom she had met on a previous trip to Alaska, Ivy must battle a blizzard, sabotage, and the worst of an Alaskan winter as the search goes on.
