Party Favors was the most adorable happily ever after story. It will give you all of those princess finds her knight in shining armor surrounded by a cute story vibe. If you’re looking for a book that has all the Hallmark feels, add this one to your tbr!

Everly Aprile was so easy to like, even if she thought the world of her d-bag boss, Adrian. But that’s because she had a lot of growing up to do. She definitely made a few mistakes in these pages, but watching how far she came from that first page to the last was beautiful! Also, I loved Everly’s relationship with her roommate Vella. Vella cracked me up with her mannerisms and words. I loved how she was so tough on the exterior, but then a big ol marshmallow when it came to Everly.

During a chance meeting, when Everly was extremely low, she met Max Colby. And Max was suave and charming to say the least. From there a friendship formed that was heartwarming. Especially since Max was such a good guy that was sigh worthy. He was protective, caring, thoughtful and I loved how kind he was to Everly. Their interactions were adorable, fun, and I loved watching their friendship progress to more.

Party Favors was a story that will cheer you up, has the most fabulous happily ever after, a kind book boyfriend and a heroine you’ll love to watch grow. This book was an easy read, and I loved listening to the audio in KU too. I always enjoy a book by Wilson and can’t wait to see what she writes next!

I had read a novella by Sarah Wilson and enjoyed it very much so when there was a chance to obtain an ARC of Party Favors I was excited to read another story related to Monterra. Everly’s insecurities and blind eye to how much her boss was taking advantage of her was hard to get invested in the story. Her roommate Vella was a favorite of mine!

So many thoughts on this one. Sariah Wilson has written some real winners, but unfortunately this one wasn't a hit for me. Let's start with Max. He was sweet and charming, but I felt like he was kind of boring. I never really fully connected with him and just felt kinda "meh" about him. And then Everly, who was a mixed bag for me. She was so funny and relatable but I wanted to shake her so many times. I get that she has wounds from her past that prevented her from fully trusting Max's affection. But how many times does a man need to tell you he likes you (with his words and his actions) before you actually believe him? The limit didn't seem to exist for Everly. And that just made me grumpy.

Now on to the things I liked. First up is Vella. I LOVED VELLA. She had me cackling out loud so many times with her witty remarks. I also loved the call backs to Sariah's other series. I haven't read it, but seeing glimpses of these other characters definitely made me want to. I also enjoyed the party planner/work aspects. It reminded me of the movie 27 Dresses which I love. And finally, the kissing. Oh, man can Sariah write a hot kiss. I let you read it for your self but wheeeewww.

Overall, the things I didn't like just really took me out of the story so this wasn't a winner for me.

Sariah Wilson is a favorite author for fun rom com books. I liked Party Favors very much.
Everly Aprile is an aspiring event planner in NYC. She has been let down my men all of her life and has decided that she is better off with no relationship. Her roommate, Zella, is the opposite. When she insists that Everly meet a man, all drama ensues.

What a cute and cozy read!

Everly is party planner obsessed with Monterran royalty. She can't believe her luck when she meets a Monterran local who has recently moved to her city. When he agrees to show her more of his culture, Everly is thrilled.

Everly is wonderful but just can’t see how wonderful she really is. Max is just as sweet and their chemistry is amazing! The character were so lovable that you can’t help but enjoy this book! A fun and quick read with a perfect happily ever after!

Title : Party Favors
Author : @sariahwilson411
Genre : Romance
Rate : 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thanks to @sariahwilson411 and @netgalley for giving me an early copy of this fantastic book. This was published on the 30 July 2024 and is available to buy now.

Everly is an event planners assistant but she is the one who does all the work. Her career has come to a standstill and so has her love life.

When a wealthy client wants a sweet sixteen party fit for an American princess, Everly offers to bring to if life, immersing herself in all things Monterra (she has been in awe of their royal family for as long as she can remember).

When she meets Max, who has relocated from Monterra, it feels like faith has intervened. If Everly promises to be Max’s New York City guide, he will teach her all of Monterra customs and cultures to boost the authenticity of the party.

As their friendship grows, Everly starts falling, but in what? Love or an unattainable obsession?

This was such a feel good book. I fell in love with Everly straight away, she is perfectly imperfect which is what I needed.
Her roommate and best friend Vella is amazing, such a brilliant wing woman. The friendship between this is on point.

Max is such a gentleman and good guy. The chemistry between the 2 of them is so cute. But neither of them wants to say how they feel incase the other doesn’t.

The romance side is a slow burner but it’s totally worth the wait. The ending was brilliant and I can’t see anyone being disappointed with it, in my opinion anyway.

SW always reels me in with her laugh out loud stories.

I loved this one, just like all the others.
They're cute and funny.

The MMC is swoon worthy

The whole book gives a Hallmark, mug of hot chocolate + cookie straight from the oveñ type vibe and I am here for it!!

I wish some of her books would become movies!

A fun romance.

I've read a few Sariah Wilson romances and this reminded me of how she used to write... maybe it was the return to Monterran characters? Either way, it was an enjoyable read.

Everly was your typical "emotionally scarred" heroine who couldn't see the wood for the trees or her "good parts", so it was satisfying to see her grow. She was sweet and thoughtful, totally taken advantage of and rather imperfect, but I liked her.

Max was the epitome of a cinnamon-roll hero, with his delicious outside and thoughtful, comforting insides. I was really drawn to his sincerity and loved the contrast between him and Adrian.

Bravo to Ms Wilson catching me off guard with one particular twist. I felt like I'd been set up for something completely different, so that was a fabulous development.

I received an ARC of this novel.

For those who loved Sariah Wilson's Monterra series and have been wanting more, this book will be an especially fun treat!

Party Favors is a slow burn romance full of chemistry, friendship, and character growth. I loved how Max encouraged Everly and how much Everly grows in self confidence. The romance between them may be slow burn, but it's not lacking in chemistry!

I love a well written quirky friend and Vella is that and more! Between her feistiness and how protective she is of Everly, she's the kind of friend we should all wish to have in our corner.

*Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the arc, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a sweet romance! I got the option for an early read and just accidentally forgot to publish my review. (thanks to NetGalley for the early read). I really enjoyed the sweetness of the characters, although Everly's obsession with royalty was a little over the top. Max was a sweetheart throughout the romance, although secrets abound, leading to a tiny bit of angst but overall, this was a fun, happy romance that kept a smile on my face.

This book is so much fun to read. It is light-hearted and perfect for those of us who love romance. Everly and Max are very different in personality. I like how thoughtful Max is - not only in action but also with how he carefully thinks and speaks with Everly. Everly is adorable when she is around Max. She has so many mixed feelings about Max, friendship and love.

Her constant back and forth decisions about maintaining a friendship or more is pretty repetitive which is understandable however toward the end of the novel I was so ready to know how the happily ever after was going to happen. Her indecision had gone on long enough.

Of course, I still found the book enjoyable and would recommend it. It is fun, funny, flirty and delightful to read!

Thanks to NetGalley, Montlake, and the author for the chance to read this book.

This was a sweet happily ever after book that was so easy to fall into and read. The main female character, Everly, lacks confidence and has low self esteem so can't believe it when Max shows interest in her.
It was enjoyable watching Everly find confidence in herself. Her best friend Vella was highly amusing and a brilliant addition to the story.

This was a light and fun read and I can't wait to explore more of the authors books.

Party Favors is surprisingly my first book by Sariah Wilson & I can’t wait to read more! All my friends recommended this book & I can see why. It’s an adorable slow burn romance with a sizzling undercurrent of attraction & so much party planning fun!

Everly Aprile’s one of those easily relatable characters you want to cheer for. As a lover of all things Monterran, she eagerly anticipates anything Queen Kat does or wears & wants her own fairytale romance. After several years working as her handsome boss’ right hand at an event planning company, she’s finally given a chance to plan a 16 year old b-day party with a Monterran theme which’ll hopefully earn her the promotion she deserves. She’s also had an unrequited crush on her boss until she finds out he’s engaged.

When her snarky yet endearing roommate suggests she go out & meet someone, she ends up finding a dreamy guy newly relocated from Monterra. He offers to explain Monterran customs if she’ll be his unofficial tour guide. The sparks fly as these two get to know each other. But, can Everly let go of her insecurities & trust that he cares about her too?

I loved this story! Everly has a lot of self doubt mainly because of her father. Though she’s extremely talented, she’s never pushed for recognition. Things change when she meets Max & he encourages her to throw a baby shower for his cousin. I loved all the behind the scenes party planning as well as all the fabulous iconic New York places they visit like the Empire State Building. Max has his own secrets & I have to admit while I had my suspicions, I didn’t see a particular twist coming. It was so well done. I also loved Everly’s roommate Vella. She’s described as a grown up Wednesday Addams. I loved her snarky personality & how she was so fiercely protective of Everly. I’d love to get her story!

Everly’s & Max’s romance was full of sizzling kisses & attraction. I loved all those near kisses & sweet hand kisses too. I also enjoyed the growth these characters go through as they learn to better communicate. I also loved Everly gaining more confidence in herself & her desirability.

Highly recommend to closed door romcom fans! I received an advanced complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley but also purchased through Kindle Unlimited. All opinions are my own & voluntarily provided.

I read and listened to this story, and it really resonated with me. The heroine was often grumpy and naive, which could be frustrating. I found myself wishing she’d gain a bit more insight and maturity.

The main male character was incredibly sweet and cautious. He was always thinking of others but seemed to lack the confidence and assertiveness I wanted to see from him. It felt like he needed a push to step up and take charge of his own life.

Their journey from friends to lovers was a highlight. They supported each other through their flaws and challenges, growing together in a way that felt authentic and deeply satisfying. Watching their relationship evolve, with both characters helping each other overcome personal hurdles, was genuinely touching.

The story was engaging and kept me hooked with its emotional depth and character development. Despite its imperfections, it was an uplifting experience that stayed with me long after I finished.

I was given the lovely opportunity to read this book in advance, but got a little distracted in July so I didn’t finish before it released, but that’s good because now y’all don’t have to wait to go read it! I loved this book! It was just the sweetest story full of heart warming moments. Don’t get me wrong, there were a few tense moments and I got a little nervous watching the page count (IYKYK) but the epilogue was EVERYTHING!!!! I will never pass up a Sariah Wilson romcom!
