Everly is an assistant who wants to break out as a party planner. Her big shot comes in the form of a party for royalty...Monterran royalty to be specific. The problem? She doesn't know enough about it. Thankfully a gorgeous man comes to her rescue: Max, who knows everything about Monterra. (But why?!?) Come along for the ride in this new sweet romance as Everly finds her footing within her career and her love life!

I enjoyed this book! I'm fascinated by the fact that so many authors have banded together to create a fictional country called Monterra, which has a rich cast of royals, all looking for love! It was neat to see a book about Monterra that was set in the U.S. Sariah Wilson brings her trademark humor to this new adult romantic comedy. I found this book to still be super steamy but still within the definition of a "sweet clean romance," which I appreciate! I fell just as hard for Max as our heroine!

There are some plot twists within this story I never expected. The story was engaging. Added to the cast, with nearly as much "screen" time as Everly herself, is her best friend and roommate Vella, who I didn't always love, but was entertaining regardless. The pacing of this story might have felt a smidge slow, but was a very enjoyable read nonetheless. I adore Sariah Wilson, and look forward to reading more of her in the future!

I'd like to thank Sariah Wilson, Montlake Publishing, and Netgalley for the eARC of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Overall, for the most part, I enjoyed it. I did like that this book coincided with her others and the Royals of Monterra series and characters.

I definitely think that this book was a little too overly cheesy for me. I don’t know if I’ve changed in my romances, but this one was just a little too fluffy.

I did enjoy the characters, the storyline, and the overall plot throughout the whole book. But in the end, it was just too cheesy for me.

Okay this was the cutest.

But I wanted to yell at Everly. Then Max. Mostly Everly. Communication 😅

They were cute and fun. I really did enjoy this book. If miscommunication and slow burn tropes are not for you though skip this book.

But I personally loved it and especially the Royal fans that she and her mom were.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read and review!

Thank you to Montlake & NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.

This one is for all my happily ever after, fairy tale obsessed, Rom Com loving girlies! If you’re looking for a new romance to get swept up in, complete with all the swooning, pick this one up!

This is the sort of light rom com HEA read that might do the trick if you're in need of an uplift. Everly and Max are trope-y to be sure but the scenario works. As does Vella, Everly's roommate -she's a hoot. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read.

Cute and clean (kissing only) contemporary romance. Everly Aprile is finally getting a chance to do event planning at her company. She was the personal assistant to a horrible boss who deserved a comeuppance that didn’t happen. She meets Max Colby at a bar and they connect. She believes he is from Monterra and she is planning a high end princess themed sweet sixteen party. His knowledge of customs and culture will be useful and in exchange she will show in NYC. Best friend Vella is a stand out and gets some very funny lines.

Not part of the author's Royals of Monterra series, it is nice that there is a tie in for those readers. I was surprised Max doesn’t show up until 15 percent of the way into the story. There is some predictability and cheesy lines but it is offset by Aprile sharing her real insecurities. You can see growth in Aprile's character over the story. (3.5 Stars)

Sariah Wilson’s Monterran royals series are some of my favorite books by her and in Party Favors she has the royals element tied in with a contemporary romance. Party Favors is out on July 30th!

Every is a party planner with a big passion for the Monterran Royal Family. She then meets a man, Max, from Monterra and ends up falling for him…or who she thinks he is. This definitely started off as a slower burn romance (in some parts painfully slow) and so I wish it moved a little faster but I still overall enjoyed it. I saw a lot of myself in Everly who loves watching the royal wedding and following her favorite royal in style and life “what would Kat do?” I liked Max too but he seemed a little frustratingly closed off in parts which contribute to the conflict in the story but maybe in some small was unnecessarily. I love a story with an epilogue and this one was good (while wildly unrealistic but a girl can dream! 😂)

This was not enjoyable. I found myself putting this down and then feeling a tiny sense of dread when I had to pick it up again. At least the main character is aware of how prone she is to instantly crush on the opposite sex but it was annoying. She was more than just enamoured with the hero and they had only just met! It was too insta-love for me.

I get the sense this story was meant to be quirky and light-hearted but it was boring and cringey.

The two stars goes to the roommate - she was the only light in this story.

Everly Aprile wants to become a professional event planner at Elevated Events, but she has a crush on her boss.
To distract her from him, her friend Vella takes her on a girls' night out...
And when Everly meets Max Colby, it seems kinda like fate.
He is from Monterra and she has to plan a Monterran party.
So, spending time with him could be a good idea for more information, right?!
Who would even care about Everly as a huge fan of the royals of Monterra, right?!

Ooooh, this book!
Party Favors by Sariah Wilson is the most satisfying love story for all the hopefully romantics out there!

The storyline isn't something new, but it's absolutely comforting. ❤️
Everly is a really likeable main character. She's some kind of people pleaser, and I can relate to that 100%.
Besides that, it's really stressful to deal with that and her insecurities and the crush on her boss. Ugh, poor Everly! Lots of stuff is going on!
I definitely felt with her... and loved to see her GROW. Loved to see her personal development! ❤️
And... Max Colby... oh boy!
A dark-haired, gorgeous guy with manners and a heart of gold?! Who wouldn't fall in love with him?! You can't blame me!
But... yeah, not even this Max is perfect.
(I won't say more bc of possible spoilers.)
Well, let's say Everly and Max learned a lot, and I liked how it turned out in the end.
I really liked them together because they had sooooo many swooning moments. OMG, I melted... a lot! And I highlighted a lot of quotes, too! 🥰

Besides the great main characters, there's Vella, Everly's best friend. Awww! I hope she'll maybe get her own story one day?!
She's a great support for Everly and Max!

So, all in all, Party Favors is the perfect summer read for romantics, who also kinda love anything royal. 😊❤️
There's a lot of laughter, emotions, sexy scenes, and much more.

Thank you so much to Sariah Wilson and Montlake for this ARC via NetGalley.
This is my honest review in my own words.

If you're looking for a happy ever after love story, this is it. Sure, there are a few twists along the way that keep you interested in the likable characters. Everly and Max's story is like a Cinderella fairy tale with a few kinks along the way. This is a good summer read. I enjoyed it. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

I am a big fan of Sariah Wilson, and Party Favors lives up to my expectations of this author. You will fall in love with Everly, our female lead. You are going to wish she wasn't such a doormat with her boss (and to be truthful, I would have loved to see him fall on his face at the end of the book), but at least her hard work is recognized by everyone else. I also really liked Max, but because this book is written only in first person, you don't really know what his feelings are until you are well through the book. I would have like to have more insight into him earlier, but he was still likeable, you just didn't know if he liked Everly or not. Anyway, I loved the book and highly recommend it. Thank you NetGalley and Sariah Wilson for an advanced copy!

Party Favors
by Sariah Wilson
Rating: 4.5/5

Wow. The author does it again and again. She makes you swoon and sigh and laugh out loud and sometimes cry. (I'm rhyming?) I am always so quick to purchase her books and have NEVER been disappointed. I had an opportunity to read her book before the official release date and I was so excited. This book was such a fun, summer read. The main characters are charismatic, lovable and full of their own struggles and fears. I always appreciate the author's ability to weave beautiful stories about love, life and everything in between. She brings her unique flavor to every story and I cannot wait to read more.

Highly recommend this laugh out loud, clean, romantic comedy that will force you to keep reading until the end!

My thanks to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.

Another 5 star read from Sariah Wilson.
I loved Everly's character. She felt realistic between her love for work, her obsession with royalty, and overall just the complex emotions that go with everything from working long hours, family relationships, and crushes.
Max was interesting from the start. As soon as he was introduced it was clear that there was something there and I devoured the book to find out what it was. I thought their relationship was sweet. The way they talked so easily with one another since the start was something that I love in a story. They seemed to really understand each other.
This book took me on so many twists and turns that I wasn't entirely sure how it would end, but I loved every second of it. I read it very fast because I couldn't put it down and I needed to know how things worked out for Everly. There was a lot of depth to her story and I think Wilson wrote it beautifully. I will be thinking about their story for a while.

I had missed the Monterran stories and this book did not disappoint! Everly and Max are the cutest couple. Set in New York City, Everly, an assistant in an event planning business, goes out with her roommate and best friend Vella to mingle and take her mind off... other stressful things happening in her life. Vella takes Everly to a Monterran bar so that she meets someone new while also doing research for an upcoming Monterran-inspired event she's planning to pitch to earn her promotion. As luck would have it, Everly does meet a cute guy (cute AND hot!) and they hit it off. The book takes you on a journey as Everly and Max get to know each other, and more importantly, Everly learns more about who she is, her strengths, her insecurities and fears, her hopes and dreams.

Everly has some deep-rooted insecurities that make her question her confidence and ability to grow relationships. At times, this can be frustrating for the reader, as she takes three steps forward and two steps back. The story is 100% a slow-burn romance! And as in any other book from Sariah, anticipation grows slowly but steadily, with the main character overanalyzing every move and every decision, which honestly is almost every single romance book lover (aka me!) so while I find myself saying "Come on, Everly! Just go for what you want!" I can totally see myself also overthinking in the same situation. Isn't that why we all read romance books? Looking for a slow-burn, well-developed story that culminates with a HEA.

I'm a big fan of Sariah, and have read every single book she's written. This book is no different. It's full of hope, true friendship, self-discovery, and reciprocated love. Don't wait! Just give in and read this book. You will not regret it!

Overall, Party Favors is a cute story that is very much in the typical vein of Sariah Wilson. It was a tad cutesy for my taste, and I thought Vella (our heroine’s best friend) added some nice levity and humor to the story. I had a very hard time with how insecure Everly was, constantly thinking about and telling Max how she wasn’t good enough, no one ever liked her, and she couldn’t believe he would be interested.

I am a fan of most books written by Sariah Wilson because they are clean, light hearted romance. It took me a long time to get through this book because more pressing ARC timelines needed to be met. I tried to keep up with the story line and easily picked up right where I left off. I can’t say as though this was a book that gripped my interest, but it was an easy read that allowed me to get lost in a sweet budding romance with a royal flair!

Max took my heart! He’s is so sweet to Everly! They were made for each other and I’m so happy that I got to read their love story!
If you love a good rom com that will have you laughing so hard! You’ll love this one! Everly sense of humor is everything and her best friend/ roomie’s sense of humor tops Everly’s especially with the sarcasm! I love them both!
This book was perfect for me just what I needed!

Party favors Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to Sariah Wilson and Montlake for the ARC. Max is a warm-hearted, lovable MMC and Everly is a sweet FMC. I enjoyed their romance and both the Monterra themed party and carnival themed baby shower Everly planned were beautifully arranged. I didn’t like Adrian‘s character at all, but I don’t think I was supposed to given how much advantage he took of Everly. I liked the friendship between Vella and Everly. Vella is quite an unconventional character who can clearly be a bit pushy at times, but she’s still willing to go above and beyond for her friend by doing things for her like taking jobs she doesn’t really like or doing favours and I think her actions are generally well-intentioned. Overall, another great book from Sariah Wilson!

Thank you Sariah for this ARC! This book was easy to read and i devoured it a couple days! Everly and Max were great main characters and I LOVED their connection/story! The supporting characters equally as great and really made the story. I loved to hate Everly's boss!
I haven't read all the Monterra related books (yet) but as a real life Royal Fan it was fun to see connections! Cant wait to get my hands in more of Sariah's books!

This book is about Everly who works at an event-planning company and she wants her own fairy tale romance. She meets the “too good to be true” Max and “friend zones” him for a bevy of reasons. It’s fun to see how these characters overcome their obstacles to achieve their HEA.

My two favorite things about this book: the great lines/banter(I highlighted like crazy) and Vella (the side character/best friend who is responsible for much of that banter).

One more favorite thing: the tie-in to the Monterran Royals!!!
