This is a brilliant collection of popular and lesser known myths. The authors wit and sarcasm made this a fun and accessible read despite the depressing end to many of the stories. The gorgeous girlie cover really appealed to my 10 year old daughter, though the many rapes and human sacrifices (unfortunately common to many Greek myths) make this more suitable to an older audience. I especially loved the tale of Melissa, the first bee as I’d never heard it before.
Thank you Netgalley, HarperNorth and Lizzy Tiffin for this ARC.

I LOVED THIS! I'm such a nerd for greek mythology and this instantly caught my eye. Everything from the cover to the title was intriguing. Though I already knew of some of the women mentioned in the guide it was awesome learning more about them. I loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves mythology.
Bad Girls of Ancient Greece does not disappoint. It is like an encyclopaedia about the bad girls of Greek mythology. Each entry is a humorously and smartly written short story about the powerful women in Ancient Greece.
It would be lovely to have some fun facts and illustrations accompanying these stories, but this is a much-needed compilation of these strong characters all in one place. I am glad this book exists!

"Bad Girls of Ancient Greece" is Lizzy Tiffin's exploration of the notorious women from Greek myths and legends, including Athena, Medusa, and Aphrodite.
The book is exceptionally well-written, offering fresh perspectives and insights into these characters. Even as someone not usually drawn to Greek mythology, I found it both entertaining and enlightening.

My inky bug bear is the name why call them bad girls all they were doing was standing up for themselves we need move away from words like that or the messages in the books like this are lost. Good read just change the name
