Catherine Bybee's latest series begins with an endearing couple that proves that love does not always wait for the perfect time in life to appear. Chase has recently lost his father when he meets Piper, his father's former assistant. The two team up to find a sibling Chase and his sister, Alex have never met. Sparks quickly develop between Piper and Chase and they were a fun couple to root for. I am also always a fan of an animal sidekick and Kitty is a perfect doggo. One complaint I did have was the pacing felt a little off in places, with the ending feeling a bit rushed. Since this is the beginning of the series, some questions remain to carry into the next book. Overall, a good read and I will continue the series to find out what is in store for the characters.
I absolutely loved this new story thread, the characters were great and the story well written. When the book ended I was sad as I had got to like the characters so much, hopefully we here more of them in the next book
I began this novel with a lot of enthusiasm, and I must say that, unfortunately, as I read, that enthusiasm began to fade.
I really liked the plot, it has many interesting elements that the author handled well in most of the novel, but there were many others that I think I should have paid more attention to so that the development was more... impactful? or that it made sense?
I liked the characters, they weren't a big deal. They had very marked personalities and quite a few cliches (I don't see it as bad).
The story develops in an entertaining way but it is not a story that hooked me as much as I thought it would when I read the synopsis.
It takes predictable turns, there is no plot twist and in the end I almost didn't feel very motivated to continue reading. But the reading time was enjoyable and light.
Thanks Montlake for the ARC I read on NetGalley.
I couldn't find the book on Goodreads.
Enjoyable read! Chase Stone and his sister, Alex, unexpectedly inherit their estranged father’s hotel empire, along with a previously unknown half sibling they now need to identify and find. Chase recruits Piper Maddox, his late father’s previous assistant, to help him and his sister transition into leading the family business. And not only is Piper a huge professional asset to the siblings, but she and Chase become romantically involved.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading this new series. The story combines mystery and romance well - and it’s fun to experience what it’s like to suddenly become billionaires through the two siblings (private jets!}.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced reader copy of this book. I recommend it to both romance and mystery lovers alike!
I LOVED IT! Piper and Chase are couple goals. I loved how much Chase just wanted to give her whatever she wanted. He'd do anything to make her happy!
I can't wait for the next book to come out!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!
Catherine Bybee is one author that is sure to please most readers. Her new series - The Heirs, definitely meets the expectations of captivating the reader within the first few pages.
Chase Stone is dealing with his own life issues when he is notified that his father has passed away. Despite not being close to him, Chase feels obligated to go to the funeral and the reading of the will. When he and his sister -Alex- learn that they’ve inherited their father’s business empire he realizes that they need to find employees that actually know the ins and outs of the company. Piper was fired right before Mr Stone died, but the last thing she wants to do is walk back into the company to help out the devil’s offspring.
Chase and Piper try to keep their interactions professional, but as with every good romance book, they just had too much chemistry!
When one of Catherine Bybee’s books is released, stop what you are doing and read it. I love her heroines and the men they love and All Our Tomorrows is no exception. With brother and sister, Alex and Chase finding themselves rich overnight, they know they need someone who can help them muddle through the business they have inherited. Enter Piper, their father’s former assistant. I was proud of Piper and how she stood up for herself and the company she loved. With the plot thickening, and mystery abound, neither Piper or Chase can ignore the attraction they have to each other. This promises to be a fantastic series and can’t wait for the next book.
The more I read of this book, the more invested I got in the plot, to the point that by the end I was pretty curious what would happen in the next part of the series. That said, I felt like the actual romance wasn't what I wanted. I didn't fully feel the chemistry between the main characters, and I was incredibly frustrated with Chase's attitude about the workplace concerns with their attraction/relationship. As Piper's boss, of course he's in a position of extreme power, and I don't feel like he ever actually took that seriously or cared to ease Piper's concerns, or tried to keep things above board with HR or anything. Especially considering his dad was a womanizing/possibly predatory figure, I'd think he'd want to take some steps to show that he's not like that.
A reluctant billionaire Chase Stone inherits his father's empire alongside a surprising discovery—a long-lost half-sibling. Teaming up with former assistant Piper Maddox, they navigate corporate intrigue, personal boundaries, and shared secrets in a race against time. This romance weaves together passion, family dynamics, and suspense, leading to love and revelations within the high-stakes world of Stone Enterprises.
I loved this story so much, it evokes a sense of intrigue and anticipation with its blend of romance, corporate drama, and familial secrets. The dynamic between Chase and Piper, blends well with the suspense, and sets an interesting narrative for the reader.
I love Catherine Bybee's many series. All Our Tomorrows is the first her new series called The Heirs! I was hooked from page one, I love the Stone family....Chase and Alex, whose estranged father has just died. This installment concentrates mainly of Chase and his budding romance with his late father's assistant. Ms. Bybee explores broken families, single motherhood, and of course, romance! Her characters are multi-dimensional and the plot is riveting! I loved this book so much and can hardly wait for the next installment! A big thanks to NetGalley and Montlake publishing for ARC! Five stars all the way!
Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Chase and his sister have been estranged from their father for years. When they inherit his business they are surprised. I loved the book and can't wait to read the next one.
Another great book by Catherine Bybee! This is an all too familiar story about the factures that money and success can cause within a family. Although the patriarch of the family was a hard person to like, much less love, with his wife he managed to raise children who were loving, responsible and close-knit. After his death, Chase stands to inherit 1/3 of the family business along with his sister getting another 1/3. What no one expects, neither the characters in the book nor this reader, is who is in line to receive the remaining 1/3. And helping solve this mystery and so many others is the father's former, but the rehired, assistant who despite her initial leeriness to be a part of it, can't turn down a good offer and, what will come to be, two very important people to her. Highly recommend & hope there's more to come with these characters!
You know you’re on to a winner when you crack open a Catherine Bybee book. Bybee has a magical way with words that pick you up and transport you right into the middle of the action.
I loved the instant chemistry between Chase and Piper. I really enjoyed that the romantic aspect wasn’t the sole focus of the book. Uncovering the truth about Chases dad and looking for the mysterious Max really brought helped to solidify the friendship between Piper and Chase. I loved seeing her reaction to uncovering the safe full of money.
And what a cliff hanger! I can’t wait for the next book to find out how Max takes the news and then learning more about his life. Something tells me it’s going to be an interesting story.
The sensitive issues discussed in the book were really carefully explored and all sides of the situation was explored with no judgement. Seeing Piper trying to navigate her situation and do what she thinks is best was interesting and I really liked when she stood up to her parents and explained how they’d made her feel in the past. So very relatable.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment, it was a captivating read from page one.
The premise of this book was different from the books I have been reading as of late, which is what interested me in the first place. Piper is a recently fired assistant to a gazillionaire who passes away unexpectedly. His estranged children, Chase and Alex, are now left to figure out his estate and assume control of his company. Chase hires Piper back, as she is the only one who can really help them navigate their new roles at the company.
I really enjoyed the writing style of this book. Piper is witty and stands up for herself. She is competent and funny! Chase is humble and doesn't take his new financial windfall for granted. He is pretty grounded, all things considered, and I think this helps to establish why the relationship works between the two of them.
The reason for the four stars is the ending of the book! I wanted to see more of a resolution for the issues with the siblings and the will. The epilogue just felt like another chapter instead of providing some closure. I wanted to see how the rest of the issues with the board and everything played out. Maybe there will be another book in the future that will continue the story!
This was a really enjoyable book, about a brother and sister who are left their estranged father's empire after his death.
Chase and Alex's father dies unexpectedly, and even more unexpectedly leaves his fortune to his children, although they did think they were the only two, so it comes as a bit of a shock to find out there is another sibling, their half-brother, that they need to share the fortune with, once they've found him.
Chase and Alex start to run the company, although some of the board aren't too happy about it, and Chase hires Piper, his father's ex-assistant to help them navigate the transition. Piper was fired by their father, an obnoxious man, a short while ago, but Chase persuades her to come back with a raise of course!
The book follows the story of both Chase and Alex slowly coming to grips with their new positions and wealth, with Piper and Chase slowly getting closer on more than just a business level.
A very easy reading, enjoyable book with plenty of drama, mystery and romance. I can't wait for the next book now to find out what happens with the missing brother!
Chase and Alex Stone inherit their absentee father's billion dollar company. The first order of business is to hire back their father's rock star assistant that he fired 2 weeks before his death. She doesn't come back until she is promised she will not have to kiss up to her new bosses or have to put up with unwanted advances. She and Chase start to feel attraction to one another but do not succumb to it. But how long can they resist temptation?
This book is so good! I couldn't put it down. It grabbed me from the first page and didn't let go until thr end. It had suspense, romance and business intrigue. There was witty banter. The female main character is full of sass and shows how a strong and smart assistant really runs things behind the scenes. And Chase? He is so swoony and cocky. He needs someone like Piper to keep him in his place.
A nice surprise was guest appearances of fun characters from Not Quite Dating.
I would most definitely recommend this book.
Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy.
All Our Tomorrows by Catherine Bybee is the first in the Heirs series and it ends on a cliffhanger or at least with plenty of unfinished business to be sorted.
Chase and Alex are mentioned in their deceased father's will, but so is a third child, a step sibling neither of them new anything about. With tremendous help from their assistant, they eagerly start hunting for the unknown sibling so they can claim the estate.
It seemed naive at times, that they'll find them and then run the company together as a happy family... What if they are not at all interested or want all for them self? Well, we never find that out in this book as it ends before it gets to that part.
Well paced, great characters, a few laughs, some romance and unexpected twists make this a great first book in the series.

Chase and Alex Stone feel so out of place at their fathers funeral, the heartfelt eulogies just make them uncomfortable as does everyones condolences. They never really knew their father since he divorced their mother and started hanging out with newer models. The reading of his will is a shocker, they inherit his massive hotel empire along with a half-brother no knows exists. Chase knows he needs help which he isn't going to get from his disgruntled deputy so turns to the woman who organised his work life until he dismissed her. Piper Maddox is in desperate need of a job but she's not sure if she's that desperate. Chases father left a nasty taste in her mouth and she's not sure if she wants to go for more. Interesting mystery told in the capable Catherine Bybee style
Excellent! Another great novel Catherine Bybee. I really liked the characters in this novel and look forward to spending time with them again in the next book. An enjoyable romance with drama and relatable wealth, All Our Tomorrows will have you hooked from the start!
