I can't wait for the next book in this series!
โI wished I had kept her. I wished our timing had worked years ago. I wished I had waited. I wished she had waited too.โ
Yeehawwww! Haven River Ranch here I come! I loved, loved, loved Crossroads! This book is the first ebook I have finished in over 2 months, nothing like a cowboy romance from Devney to pull me out of my slump!! This second chance romance gave me all the feels and then some! The past and present timelines built this beautiful story of young love, imperfect timing and that moment of reconnection and forgiveness to the unyielding passion that never faded over the years.
โI want everyone to know youโre mine. Employees. Guests. Anyone who sets foot on this ranch. We were a secret for too long, baby. Iโm not hiding this anymore.โ
Through all their banter and fighting, it was clear from the start that Indya and West had never lost their connection. I loved watching them discover all they had missed and all they had yet to learn about each other and slowly fall back in love, even if West didnโt want anything to do with her to start. Indya was determined to show him that her heart was always in the right place. But West was rightfully pissed for all his father had done in selling the ranch behind his back and the complicated family dynamics is something Iโm looking forward to watching unfold in the series! Overall Indya and Westโs love story beautiful, heartfelt and downright sexy! I loved every minute!
Overall I enjoyed this book, it took me a little while to get invested in the relationship, its a bit of a slow burn/takes a while for the romance to really start
I loved the dual timeline and seeing chapters of their relationship over the years and them falling in love whilst growing up
I really loved the setting of the ranch and resort, I thought it was really cute and described in the best way that I could picture it
- โits always been youโ vibes
- slow burn
- dual timeline
- cowboy romance
- montana ranch and resort setting
Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for the ARC - all opinions are my own
I was really bored the first 50%. I had a difficult time getting into it and I was thinking about dnfโing. I might have just read this at the wrong time, idk, I was mostly just bored. Iโm glad I didnโt even though I kind of suffered through almost half of the book. I enjoyed the last 50%.
Itโs not often I come across romance books where the woman is the rich one, the one in charge, the one with power. It was a nice change. Though I was really uncomfortable with the dynamic in the beginning since I didnโt know all of what was going on. We didnโt get the full context right away as to why Indya bought the ranch, so I was a bit worried she didnโt have a good enough reason. What she did seemed really uncool at the time and I was really not liking her, but it panned out well.
I liked West and I started liking Indya a bit further into the book. I was missing the angst and tension I want in a second chance romance and I didnโt feel much of a connection between the mcโs in the beginning. I only got invested and started rooting for them further in. I really enjoyed the last 50% of this book, but the first 50% were just not doing it for me. Iโm very glad the book wasnโt longer than itโs 220 pages though.
West and Indya were adorable together in the end and they definitely deserved their happily ever after. Not a โwowโ read, but Iโd recommend it if it sounds interesting to you.
- I do not fw Devney Perryโs smut. Itโs BAD.
- I wasnโt a fan of the fact Indya got married, but I can see why she did it. And since she wasnโt really ever in love with the dude, I felt like it was fine.
- The ending wasnโt rushed per se, but I wanted to see a bit more of West and Indya as a couple.
- All of the parents (the living ones) were absolute garbage.
Iโm not a fan of chapters from the past but these ones werenโt too bad.

New series, new town, new unforgettable characters!!! I was so excited for this release.
I just knew I was going to devour it, and I sure did. I just couldnโt put it down for even a second!!! I cannot wait to see what we have in store with this series!!!

I really liked this story, but somehow it got me so slumpy??Donโt know what happened there, but itโs probably on me. Anyway, back to the story.
This story follows West and Indya, who meet when theyโre just kids, on a ranch in Montana. ๐ค
The story goes back and forth between timelines, all the way from the moment they meet up until the present. It shows them meeting and their relationship up until now. I really like books with multiple timelines, so thatโs a win. Also liked the small-town, ranch feeling that this book gave me. It was my first Devney Perry book, but it wonโt be my last! โฅ๏ธ
Thereโs lots of family dynamics and character development in this book, which I really like. Search up trigger warnings for some heavier topics, like grief ๐
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own ๐ซถ๐ผ
I donโt know if iโll ever love a book as much as I loved this one.
A second chance. enemies to lovers (done right!), small town, cowboy romance. Iโve been pushing this book on everyone i know for like a month now
I have been dying to get my hands on this book and Perry did not disappoint. The one thing I look forward to the most with this author, is how the emotions are woven within the pages and you can feel them so much. The heart, the grief, the tension. Absolutely everything. Crossroads takes you on a journey of everything and more between Indya and West. The build and chemistry of their relationship to how it all played out will keep you completely invested. I am so looking forward to more within this world!
Amazing start to Devney's new Haven River Ranch series!
- small town
- cowboy
- childhood friends
- second chance
- enemies to lovers
There's just something about a second chance romance thats so heartbreaking yet soothing. West & Indya grew up with each other every summer that Indya and her parents would come to Montana. But life happens and their lives both take a bit of a detour. It isn't until Indya decides to buy West's ranch from his father and take it over that they are reunited. Since being stuck with one another again they quickly realize that their feelings for each other are very much still there and more intense than ever.
Their story was so sweet and I loved all the flashbacks to their childhood together. Both West and Indya had things they went through and needed to deal with and seeing them together again as adults was just so heartwarming. These two are true soulmates and I devoured this book in one sitting.
Highly recommend this book and can't wait for more in this series!
Lovely wee story for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The flashbacks were nice a short and didnโt put you off the story . Hoping thereโs a story about Jax in the works
Crossroads in the first book in the Haven River Ranch series. This series is definitely similar to the Edens series. This is small town Montana, childhood friends to lovers turned enemies to lovers, forced proximity, second chance, all on a western ranch.
I was so heartbroken when the Edens series was over, but let me tell you, weโre off to a good start with Haven River Ranch! This is a second chance romance done right.
Indya grew up on Westโs family ranch, but when she left for the last time at age 23, she didnโt think sheโd ever have a reason to go back. That is until a business deal is presented to her and suddenly sheโs back, but as the new owner. West wants nothing to do with her, but he knows that sheโs the only thing that can save his legacy.
I loved both the then and now perspectives and getting to watch the characters grow up. I always feel like those are the stories that draw me in the most and end up being the characters Iโm most connected to. I know I just finished this recently, but I already canโt wait to reread it before Sunlight comes out.
returning to montana in a devney perry book feels returning home! crossroads has quickly become on my favorite books by devney! it truly has everythin want in a small town, second chance, romance!!!
read it you like:
- second chance

- forced proximity
thank you devney for this arc copy! i adore you!!
This book had everything I love about a Devney Perry book ๐ฅฐ
It was emotional, cozy, and comforting ๐ซ
West and Indya had me in my feels ๐ฅน
This might be one of my favorite second chance romances OF ALL TIME!
Itโs not a trope I gravitate toward to but Devney executed it to perfection ๐ค Each flashback truly added to the story!
I truly couldnโt ask for more ๐

โCollisions on crossroads. West and I were nothing but collisions on crossroadsโ
This book EXCEEDED my expectations, this is what I need in my small town cowboy romance ๐
Indya grew up holidaying at a Monatana ranch with her family since she was 8 years old, this is where she first met 10 year old West Haven - who continued to captivate her every year until she comes back in her early twenties and heโs engaged.
She doesnโt think sheโll see West again, doesnโt think she has the heart to return to the ranch - until the universe decides otherwise.
The way that the alternating chapters features both dual POV and past and present chapters was perfect, it allowed for such deep character development and connection.
I love West and Indy, I love their history and their bubble they grow up in. The relationship didnโt feel rushed, or cheesy it was everything ๐ซถ
I felt so many emotions during this read - it was heartbreaking, sweet, romantic and full of joy, I really couldnโt put it down!
โTime vanished. The years between us melted away. The mistakes, the regrets, turned to ash. A century wouldnโt dull this fire.โ
i loved this book with my whole entire heart. devney can do no wrong when it comes to writing for me & itโs like each books is even better than the last!! iโm obsessed
I really enjoyed this introduction to the Haven River Ranch series, so much that i could not put it down. I especially liked the amount of emotion in their story and the complexity of thier relationship through childhood to present.
I cannot wait to continue the series!

Indya and West Havens' story is everything I wanted and more! Devney Perry once again proves why she is my ultimate favorite author with this incredible addition of Haven River Ranch.
Devney painted a beautiful picture of the setting and the characters and the depth she gives each character makes them feel real and relatable.
The chemistry between Indya and West added a layer of intensity to the story that kept me binging the whole book.
The emotional depth, is what truly shined. Their relationship & growth was so satisfying.
Indya's strength and resilience, paired with West's rugged charm and vulnerability, create a dynamic duo that you can't help but root for.
I loved every second of Crossroads & CANNOT wait for โSun Light."
Crossroads is the first book in Devney Perryโs new Haven Ranch series. Itโs a childhood best friends to lovers, small town, cowboy romance, and itโs also a story about grief and how to move forward after experiencing a devastating loss.
Indya (Indy) and her family used to vacation in Montana every year when she was growing up. It was during these vacations that she met and became best friends with West, whose family owned the ranch where they stayed. Hanging out with West was Indyโs favorite part about those vacations, until tragedy strikes and forces them apart for years.
When we meet Indy, she is returning to Montana several years later, not to vacation, but as the new owner of Westโs ranch (unbeknownst to him). What should be a reunion between best friends is made awkward by this new dynamic.
I was hooked on this story from that first awkward encounter between Indy and West, and I loved that Devney Perry presents their story to us in a dual POV and that we also get so many flashbacks back to when Indy and West were kids. I loved the contrast between their relationship as they were both growing up and what it is in present day, especially since itโs clear that all of the old feelings and plenty of new ones are still alive and well. Thereโs also just the perfect amount of spice as Indy and West navigate their way through all of the angst and find their way back to each other.
Between the gorgeous Montana setting and the wonderfully heartfelt story of second chances, I fell in love with Crossroads and cannot wait to read the next installment in the series.

West and Indya met on a ranch in Montana when they were young, they formed a friendship that over the years turned into something more but it just never seemed to work out for them. Fast forward a few years when Indya is back on the ranch as the new owner and West is furious, not only is the woman he loves now the owner of his ranch, once his dream he now has to face her every day.
Told in dual pov's and past + present we get an insight into what really happened between them and I loved how we get a right place but wrong time.
West and Indya get a second chance at love and I love how fiercely they love each other after all this time.
West and Indya give off the perfect amount of enemies to lovers, their sexual tension is felt and I was honestly flipping those pages waiting for those sparks to ignite!

I honestly felt for Indya and to see how much she was struggling broke my heart. I was so curious about what was going on but when it was revealed - tears!
