When a book keeps me up past my bedtime, you know it was impossible to put down. I definitely lost some sleep finishing this one!⁣

This book was so beautifully written! The pieces of this story, told via flashbacks and the present time, were woven together with expert care. It seamlessly moves between the two timelines and tells a story of love, loss, and longing. ⁣

Indya and West might have been opposites, but they fit together like connecting puzzle pieces. I loved watching their story unfold in both the past and present! ⁣

There was so much emotion in this one while also feeling like a warm hug! I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Devney, but this book is next level!

Expect:⁣
💜 Small town⁣
💜 Second Chance⁣
💜 Forced proximity⁣
💜 A charming ranch/inn that feels like its own character and gave me strong Kellerman’s vibe 😍 (I’d book a week here in a heartbeat!) ⁣
💜 Characters whose stories I can’t wait to read!⁣

If this is book one, I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series brings! ⁣

Thank you to Montlake and the author for an eARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own and voluntarily given.

Crossroads / Devney Perry

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !!!
💣💣

MCs: Indya Keller and West Haven
1st Person Dual POV

• enemies to lovers
• second chance
• cowboy
• small town

I am speechless. Hands down, a new Devney favorite. As I’ve made clear by now, I am a Devney FAN, she is my favorite author, and truly her books are the reason I love to read. Crossroads was impeccable from start to finish, and a rather cathartic read for me. Indya is back in Montana as the new owner of the ranch where she spent her childhood, the place she swore she would never return. Only this time she is now the owner of the ranch and West is stuck between wanting Indya gone, and saving his family’s ranch. Y’all!!!! I simply could not put this story down. I was immediately swept away and in so deep with them. The way Indya and West’s past unfolded in dual timelines was executed perfectly and gave us glimpses of them at all stages of life. Phew, and let me tell you I had a lump in my throat each time the phone connected to voicemail. I could go on and on about the intricate details in this book, but I want to preserve the majority of their story for you to experience first hand. Just know, this is second chance romance at it’s FINEST, combined with everyone’s favorite enemies to lovers vibes, an emotional tale of loss, and finding the place you truly belong. I am immediately rereading this one via audio, and predict this will be my new comfort read from Devney. I guess I wasn’t in fact speechless, oops 🤭 but I cannot say enough good things about Crossroads 💜

A million times thank you to Devney for the ARC, this story means so much to me 🫶🏼

Crossroads was second chance romance perfection! It has childhood friends turned enemies to lovers, cowboy romance, small town, forced proximity, dual timelines with a ranch in Montana setting and I enjoyed this story so much. We get to see how the friendship between Indya & West started over the summers and grew to more and then figure out what happened between them, and I was looooving it! It was easy to see that Indy and West were just meant to be, their chemistry & history plus the tension in the present chapters had me devouring this story! The perfect start to this new series, I can’t wait for more!

This book is phenomenal! We get to see West and Indya fall in love as kids and then again as adults. I loved how everything ties together. It was perfect!

I think Devney's books just keep getting better! I could not put this one down because I had to know what was going to happen next. These two have such a strong connection. When they were young, their timing was never right. Then years later Indya buys West's family ranch and they become sort of enemies. Watching how they reconnect was everything. They have always loved each other.

I loved the twists and turns in this story. And not suspense twists but more emotional ones. This book is so well written and beautiful. I highly recommend it!

✨release day book review✨

It’s no secret how much I love @devneyperry and everything she writes. And she absolutely nailed it with Crossroads!

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely adored West and Indya’s story. I’m a sucker for a childhood friends to lovers story. I especially love Indya’s and West couldn’t resist each other after finding themselves back together. West is my favorite type of grumpy cowboy and was not sure of Indya’s intentions being back on the ranch but he couldn’t stay away from her.

The second half of the book was quite the ride. Finding out why she bought the ranch and everything went down had me hooked. I literally didn’t move from the lazy river chair while I binged the second half.

I also loved the dual timeline- I feel like having this really pulled me in and invested me more in the story. By the time the story ended, I was all in for these two. West and Indya were endgame. I gotta say, I’m also a sucker for a Devney epilogue and this one brought me so many smiles!

I cannot wait for the rest of the series! Thank you, Devney, for the ARC and the finished copy. I’m literally obsessed.

What a sweet and heartwarming start of a new small town series!
Crossroads is the second chance romance following West and Indya as they are forced to eork together years after the ending of their romance.
I enjoyed this book a lot! It was definetely sweet and emotional, but at the same time entertaining. I really liked the chapters in the past in which we saw them fall in love as kids. But I also enjoyed their dynamic in present day as adults.
I also liked the side characters! Especially Tara and Jax and can't wait for the upcoming installments.

Oh Devney Perry did it again. What a beautiful start to a new series. I was obsessed with the Eden’s and this new series from her is no different. Her writing style is so easy to get lost in and I tore through this in one sitting. Second chance cowboy romance set in Montana, what more can you ask for? I loved Indya and West so much and completely fell in love with these characters, I didn’t want to let them go! But now I can’t wait for the next book in Haven River Ranch!

Loved this small town second chance romance! I read this in one day because I couldn’t put it down. This is also an enemies to lovers because our FMC is taking over our mmc’s family ranch which he is not happy about. Devney did an excellent job of building tension between these two and I looked forward to all of the flash back chapters to when they were kids. I’ll definitely read any other books in this series!

I am pretty sure this is my first cowboy romance and my oh my, I am hooked! I don’t always love a second chance romance but this one had the perfect balance of angst and longing that was delivered so perfectly. The transitions between the past and present timelines was seamless and kept me engaged and wanting to learn more and more about the characters. West and Indy’s journey from teenagers to adults was so beautiful and I love the way Devney let us see into their past so we could really feel the moments that brought them to where they are today. I highly recommend this book and I know I will be adding Devney Perry to my list of auto-buy authors!

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Devney Perry for the ARC!

Tropes: small town, second chance, dual timeline, grump/sunshine

This is the start of a new series and this was an amazing start and introduction to the Haven family. Devney has a way of writing a story that just pulls you in and makes you not want to put the book down

I seriously cannot put into words how much I enjoyed this book and the characters in this story. West and Indy are the perfect couple and them getting their second chance was so sweet. They were truly childhood sweethearts and deserved to be together.

This story was perfectly written and I’m so excited for what’s to come in this series.

4.5⭐️

I really enjoyed this book. I adore both West and Indya. From the start there is something you know happens at some point in the book and you would think you’d be prepared but it broke me when I read it. This is a second chance romance on a ranch, so small town which is basically all my favourite tropes rolled into one. I really enjoyed this and I am excited for the next book.

Thank you for the arc in exchange for my honest opinions.

Welcome to Haven River Ranch - Montana! Yes baby, we are back in Montana! So so glad to have another series by Devney after saying goodbye to the Edens last year!

This is such a great start and I absolutely love how Devney easily creates a small town universe with her writing style that pulls you in from the get go.

“Crossroads” is the first book in the series and is a second chance, childhood sweethearts, cowboy romance! West & Indya were just perfect - their chemistry and angst was so on point, the sexual tension & spice was perfect.

We experience their love over multiple summers through flashbacks and these flow with the current timeline so effortlessly. Their friendship growing into teenage summer love was beautiful but also heartbreaking as they kept meeting at the wrong times. A truly star-crossed lovers story. While I loved Indya’s strength and determination of building up the business back, I also admired West’s love for his ranch, his cattle, his care for his family inspite of the imperfect dynamics with his dad. Their story is just so endearing - she was a clumsy girl visiting the ranch and he was the handsome boy who taught her poker one day & soon she is the one who got away and he is a grumpy man she just cannot resist.

As expected, the whole setup, family, friends, side characters were well done. Indya’s relationship with her dad, and how she deals with the loss of a parent was an important theme of the story. I finished the book in two days and enjoyed every bit of it. Also, West’s brother Jax is going to be the star of the second book and I am pretty excited to see him more!

(I will be posting my review to my Instagram & Goodreads: @booklover_swii on Release day tomorrow. )

All of her books pack such a punch while being so easy to read. Also she does an excellent job of setting up, her next book will not be too obvious about it!

5 beautiful shimmering stars! easily a new favorite book & a new comfort read. this one gives all the summer romance vibes! i loved the dual timeline and getting to see the characters relationship slowly progress over time.

this book pulled at my heart strings!! in the past timeline we see indy and her family visit a small town ranch in montana for a vacation. west is the ranch owner’s son and indya takes an instant liking to him wanting to be friends. this vacation allows her dad to step away from the stress of work and actually relax which leads to it becoming an annual trip (some years are missed here and there but for the most part a yearly trip). indya looks forward to seeing west every year and we get to see the organic progression of their feelings especially as they start to understand what it means to them and how it fits into their lives. the past shows the immature yet deep feelings they have for each other that are surrounded by expectations and responsibilities but it truly does seem like the ranch is the only place indya really feels like herself. most of her fondest memories are created during these weeks spent in montana. west has so much pride in his family’s ranch and knows he wouldn’t want to be doing anything else with his future

fast forward to the present and indya is now the new owner of the haven family ranch. west is blindsided by this news and has to adjust to all of his dreams being taken from him. the ranch wasn’t doing well financially and indya had the money to buy out west’s dad and is now the new owner. the present timeline has a lot of animosity, enemies-to-lovers vibes but also still holds that longing that they both share and those undeniable sparks. indya gets to work on revamping the ranch especially the resort side of things to help increase income. her and west inevitably grow closer and sparks are once again flying. seeing the older more mature versions of themselves really highlights how much growth each character has had through this journey. it was clear to see how west was so in love with indya and how indya had never truly moved on from west.

overall this book has all the nostalgic vibes. if you’re someone who grew up going on an annual vacation to the same spot (think beach house, lake house, camping, etc) this is going to hit hard for you. it’s going to bring all the emotions and feelings out and truly remind you of what summers felt like as a kid. indya and west have that special one of a kind love that truly never fades and i was so happy to see them be able to rekindle that throughout this book. i also loved that although west & indya are the main characters and the main relationship focused on, we also see a lot of family dynamics for both west and indya’s individual families from when they were younger to where they are now. it really felt full circle being able to see how their relationships with their families had changed overtime

there is something that happens in the book that i knew was coming the whole time and had expected it but even though i knew, it still didn’t prepare me for how emotional i was while reading it. i loved that this book had so many different moving parts and had me laughing, swooning, and even crying. it truly is a new comfort read for me and i’m already planning my reread soon because it’s just the perfect summer book

if you love dual timelines, summer vibes, childhood friends to lover to enemies back to lovers, enjoy great banter and the perfect amount of tension, angst, and spice, you will LOVE this one. its hands down one of my new favorite books by devney!!

“Hi, West.”
“Hey, Indy.”

THIS!!!! This is how you write a second chance romance.
ALL THE STARS 🥹 West & Indya are everything. I loved this book so much, it had me up til 1am to finish it!

“It felt like I’d been missing Indya my whole life.”

Crossroads had hooked me from chapter one. The angsty feels, the ranch setting, the past and present timelines that flowed effortlessly together.

The emotion this book put me through. I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for answers, waiting to find out why things happened the way they did and when it all came together it did not disappoint! MY HEART.

“I wish too, baby.”
😭😭

The emotion, tension, heartache, longing and wishes this story swept me away and I couldn’t put it down.

This was a really enjoyable read full of emotion and angst!

Our couple first meet as kids as Indya and her parents take their annual holiday at West's family's ranch. We see their bond develop over the years as they reunite each summer.

Now, in the present, Indya is the new owner of the Haven family ranch, which West is having a hard time coming to terms with as he's blindsided by the news of his father making the sale. There's a lot of tension and animosity between the couple, but underneath it all the longing and desire still remains.

Following this couple throughout the years, seeing their connection grow and how they ultimately find their way back to each other in the place they both love so dearly was very heartwarming!

"That was how it had been between us. We belonged to each other. Even when we didn’t."

Cws: Cancer, loss of a parent

I finished this a few days ago and I’ve found myself still thinking about it occasionally. I was so pleasantly surprised by this book.

This was a great childhood friends to enemies to lovers/second chance romance and throwing in the cowboy angle really just made it better in my opinion.

This book dealt with difficult topics such as family drama, grief, and loss by beautifully weaving it through the small town romance storyline.

I also loved the dual pov and the flashbacks to different timelines so we could get a better look at the main characters backstory.

This was the first interconnected standalone in the Haven River Ranch series and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in the change for an honest review.

4.5! I really enjoyed this one! I love Devney’s Montana romances. Second chance romances are my favorite. West and Indy’s story. They have secretly loved each other since they were kids but it just never lined up. Swoon worthy
