childhood friends. second chance. small town. i trust devney to always deliver when these tropes are involved! this book was sweet and heartwarming.there was lots of longing and pining, and i was here for that too! indya and west’s love story was full of everything i love about a second chance romance!
indya and west meet as children over a summer, and slowly they develop a friendship. and each summer after turns into multiple summers filled with firsts. but as adults, they meet and things have changed drastically. now they get the chance to have a lifetime of firsts instead of summers of fleeting moments.
devney does small town so well! from the beginning i was in love with west and indy and their love story.

When I say, I ATE THIS UP!! A fantastic start to what sounds like an incredible new series, I absolutely devoured West and Indy's story. There was a lot of depth within these two characters, starting from a very young age and this beautiful second chance allowed them to reflect on what could have been and what now can be after years apart and growing separately. This was a delicious romance that will have your heart feeling every emotion possible. West is the most perfect cowboy and the way Dev describes him? SWOON WORTHY. New favourite book boyfriend has been created! I'm incredible excited about this series and can not wait for Jax's.

It's been a minute since I read a book in one sitting, but Crossroads was impossible to put down. West and Indya had my heart from the moment they showed up on page.

The mystery of this one threw me a bit. I thought I had it alllll figured out and then Devney was like, well, actuallyyyy and while I wasn't surprised that was the real truth, I still didn't see it coming. She hooked us along chapter after chapter, flash back after flash back and slowly brought us into the know and it was so well done.

This one made me a little teary. It's a fairly emotional read, especially if you've dealt with any of the topics within. The love that these two had for each other, even as kids, was palpable and the things dreams are made of. At times they felt so star-crossed and so when they finally said those three little words my heart just melted. I could honestly read about these two day after day.

This is my first Devney book, but it certainly won't be my last. While I wait for Jax and Sasha's story I'm gonna dive into her back list and see what other gems she has out there.

MY HEART!!

No one can suck me into a cowboy romance like Devney. I loved seeing West & Indy fall in love. They weren’t meant for each other & I was meant to read this book!!

Devney, you’ve done it again.

Indya spent a week a summer at a secluded Montana ranch during her formative years. Returning divorced and as the new owner was not in her original life plans, but she feels called to do so for her father, for her memories, for West Haven. The man she's admired since youth is no longer as welcoming of her, in fact the moment he hears the news of her purchase all heck breaks loose, but the pull between these two is like lightning striking.

I absolutely love a romance set on a ranch, there's something about it that feels like home to me after growing up in a small country town. While my horse riding days were predominantely in my youth, like Indya, it's the people and the memories that you cling to. Those summers marked happiness in Indya's life and the way Devney takes us into the past and ties those memories to the present was so beautifully done. I could feel the nostalgia from the pages, even as Indya and West squared off. Of course, it wouldn't be a romance if these two didn't have heat just licking up the edges of the pages. Indya and West have always had something, it may have been fleeting in the past, but it was something. While there's years between their last visits and their lives have changed, that something is still there and I really enjoyed watching the sparks catch and fly once again.

This one has a lot more heart to it, with a past of pain that Indya must work through and a rough family connection that West just wants to ignore. Crossroads tells a story of family bonds, first loves, and the way timing truly does work how its meant to. I really enjoyed this one, in fact I read it in one fast sitting with tears in my eyes, and I cannot wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

Crossroads is the first book of the Haven River Ranch series of interconnected standalones. This was my first book by this author and I devoured it in one sitting! I can’t wait to read more by them! I loved how this book went back and forth from past to present so we could learn more of West and Indy’s childhood relationship. You could tell how much they meant to each other and how special the ranch was to both of them. The angst and tension between Indy and West was so great and I was here for it!

I’m not gonna lie, there were some emotional topics discussed and had me crying my eyes out towards the end. I was so connected to these characters and felt all of their emotions. I think listening to the audio while following along with the book also helped me connect more. Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais both did an excellent job of portraying Indy and West and bringing them to life for me.

Can I rate more than five stars? Because if NetGalley had that option, I would. nThis was the absolute best way to start a new series. I don't know how Devney Perry's books keep getting better and better, but they do. If you love cowboy romances, small Montana ranches, second chances and tons of sexual tension, then Crossroads needs to be your next read!

Crossroads was the first romance in a long time to truly surprise me. Usually I can see where the story is going, but there were so many good twists, turns and surprises, that I never knew what would happen next. Told in dual POV with multiple timelines, the secrets between West and Indya slowly unraveled and had me immediately obsessed with their story.

"I stared because I knew how fleeting it was to see his face. How much I missed it when he was gone. Collisions on crossroads. West and I were nothing but collisions on crossroads. Sooner or later, our paths would drift apart again. We never seemed to be going in the same direction, and this time was no different. He’d stay because he belonged. I’d leave because I didn’t."

West and Indya are the epitome of opposites attract. I love a grumpy, stubborn hero and West Haven had that in spades. Indya was the only one that could break him out of his shell, with her kind heart and determination. There was so much yummy sexual tension and angst between the pair, I was happy that the spice hit earlier than anticipated.

My heart hurt for Indya. Even though she grew up with money, she never quite felt like she belonged anywhere. Even though she was strong AF, I completely related to her strength in the face of being dealt a tough hand. If ever there was an embodiment of TS's "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart," her character would be it.

Haven River Ranch feels so real. I could clearly picture it in my mind and I honestly would die to go on vacation there. The supporting characters weave such a tangled web and I cannot wait to see where the series goes next.

I was not expecting to love this as much as I did?? My favorite Devney Perry book that I've read so far. This was second chance / childhood friends to lovers and it was *CHEFS KISS* Usually flashback chapters don't do much for me in terms of plot development but I thought they were really well done here. I can't wait to see what is in store for us next!

Read if you like
- small town
- cowboy
- badass FMC
- second chance
- Montana setting

Beginning when she was a child Indya and her family would spend their vacation on a ranch in Montana and a friendship developed between her and West, the owner’s son, who was two years older. Over the years that friendship developed into love however his place was on the ranch and her place was at home where she could be close to her parents.

The next times their paths would cross was when West learns that Indya is back not as a guest but as the new owner. Lack of finances have allowed it to deteriorate however Indya is determined to recapture the magical place that holds so many happy memories for her and her family. She was prepared the resistance from West and the employees, but she never expected how difficult it would be to protect her heart.

Now that Indya and West are at a different stage in their lives, they might just have the opportunity to rewrite the mistakes of the past and find a path forward. The emotional pull, both with each other and their families, will not leave you unaffected as the story transitions from past to present and the feelings they have always had for each other.

What a wonderful story to start out this new series from Devney Perry!

Crossroads is Book #1 of the Haven River Ranch series, and it was just a wonderful introduction to this new world! And I absolutely enjoyed watching West and Indya get their happily ever after they deserved. Normally, I don't like when stories go back and forth between past and present as it can get a bit confusing, but in this situation, it was absolutely necessary and done so flawlessly, for the reader to get the whole story of Indya and West. I loved seeing how they fell for one another in their younger years, but also how they reconnected upon her unexpected arrival back at the ranch. So many feelings between them, and even though there was some animosity toward Indya at the beginning, you could tell that West was always trying to hide the love he had for her that never went away.

It was just a feel-good, second-chance, small-town, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance that I just adored. Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I truly adore any story that comes from the brilliant mind of Devney Perry. Her latest release, Crossroads, is no different. Told in flashbacks from the present timeline through our heroine (with an ‘e’) and hero’s alternating POV along with flashbacks told from the POV of Indya during trips spent in Montana from her childhood and through her adolescence.
Indya is our heroine. She’s an only child to a loving set of parents, although throughout her flashbacks we see her grapple with her father’s cancer diagnosis. At the young age of 8, Indya spends her first vacation in Montana on a ranch. There she meets West, who teaches her how to play poker and genuinely helps distract her from the overwhelming feelings that come with having a parent with a severe illness.
In the present timeline, Indya isn’t as welcome to the ranch as she was when she was a kid. As the new owner, she isn’t getting the warm welcome either. West, his brother Jax, their father, and the rest of the workers on the ranch are less than thrilled at the prospect of having an outsider in their midst. Even with all their history, West isn’t just hurt by his father’s deception by selling out his legacy, West is also unprepared to be so close to Indya with so much that was left unspoken between them.
Crossroads is a beautiful title and a wonderful metaphor for so many themes within this gorgeous romance. I immediately fell for both Indya and West and the intense magnetism that occurs between them. I loved that not only was this a makeover for the ranch, but it was also a transformation for Indya as well. The romance that rekindles between both West and Indya as well as the love that Indya holds for the ranch becomes more apparent the deeper into Crossroads readers travel.
I am hard-pressed to put any novel by Devney Perry down and this story was no different. I was easily and quickly swept away by the story, the characters, and the love of the land that is felt by all characters. If Crossroads is just the start of a new series, then I cannot wait to see what Devney Perry has in store for us all with the rest of the Haven River Ranch series.

I love a second chance romance, especially when it’s a second chance at first love, and boy oh boy, did Devney Perry give a truly amazing one in Crossroads. I was hooked from page one. The intense chemistry between Indya and West made the build-up of their romance completely addictive, and their love story was a wonderful blend of heartbreaking and heartwarming. This unputdownable romance captured my heart!

An addictive and enthralling second chance romance with undertones of grief and loss, Crossroads was angsty, steamy, romantic and positively brimming with feels. Devney Perry’s breathtaking storytelling was on point, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This was such an amazing start to the Haven River Ranch series. I loved every word of this story, and I am eagerly anticipating the next book in this series.

5+ stars!!!

you cannot tell me you're at all surprised i loved this book so much. however, *i* was surprised to realize this book might beat indigo ridge AND steel king as my fave of devney perry's enemies to lovers books! west & indya have my whole heart. i love them & their story so SO much!!

i feel like this book was written just for me. an emotional second-chance love story with a cowboy hero, heavy on enemies to lovers vibes, and a sprinkle of forced proximity? perfection. indya & wests's story was a wonderful mix of angsty and spicy; it was full of pining, mutual longing, loss, a full spectrum of emotion (VERY heavy on the emotion) and, ultimately, so much heart.

this book was such a nostalgic read, but it was so different form any other devney perry book i've read, it also felt so fresh and unique! i love that the family dynamics are set up to be so different in this series, and that the romance in this book took centerstage.

indya & west's relationship has run the gamut over the years-from childhood friends to lovers to enemies-and their connection was a tangled-up ball of desire, anger, love, and angst that took time and effort to unravel. the way they love is beautiful. going on this journey with them was so so special, i have an enormous amount of love for them and their story!!

thank you, devney perry, for writing such a spectacular book!! i can't wait for the world to fall in love with west & indya's story next month!

I met West Haven when I was eight years old. He taught me to play poker when I was nine, and we made paper airplanes together when I was eleven. He kissed me when I was sixteen. He was the best part about my family's summer vacations to Montana. He was the boy who stole my heart. I was twenty-three when life ripped us apart. Years later, I'm breaking my vow and returning to the ranch, not as a guest but its new owner. West might want me gone, but even he has to admit the only way to save his family's legacy is with my help. It's not easy working side by side and facing those old memories. But this situation is only temporary. We're at a crossroads. And as long as I don't let myself fall in love with West Haven again, maybe this is our chance to put those ghosts to rest. Maybe this time we'll finally be able to say goodbye.

Holy sh*t you guys... this book is so good!! I cried so much 😂

I'm really not usually a fan of second chance because often it is one massive miscommunication that could have been easily fixed (not the case here), and I especially don't love flash backs because I feel like they take me out of the story. THIS WOMEN K*LL3D IT PEOPLE!! The flashbacks flowed SO well with the story, I was pulled right into them! West and Indya are amazing! Their chemistry is off the charts, I couldn't put them down! I am so impressed with this book, it completely blew my expectations out of the water! It's so emotional, so beautiful, it's funny, it's spicy, it's amazing!

This book comes out June 4th so pre-order your copy today!! You seriously won't regret it!

Thank you @netgalley for this opportunity!

I really enjoyed the Edens series by Devney Perry and I was so excited for this new series by her!! I loved the small town/cowboy aspect and the childhood friends to lovers part made me want to keep reading.

Ultimately though I felt like the past timeline was a little too short and didn’t convince me of their connection. There was also a good bit of spice that felt unnecessary and the end felt rushed.

I did really enjoy the HEA and epilogue though! And I am excited for the next book in the series! I will definitely be reading it!

To say I enjoyed my trip to Haven River Ranch would be an understatement. For 300 pages, I felt like I too was on vacation deep in Montana. A very angsty vacation, but a vacation nonetheless.

Because if it's angst you're looking for, you'll find it in this story. That feeling of melancholy mixed with regret, despair and pain that I so love to feel when reading (yes, I know, I have issues) runs through almost every page of this book.

For Indya and West's relationship is not new. It begins when they're very young, in well-orchestrated flashbacks scattered throughout history, and continues today, when everything has changed for and around them.

I was worried that 300 pages wouldn't be enough to tell such a story, but I find the book perfect as it is. Would I have liked more? Yes. But as the series continues with a second book out on October 15, I'll be back with them in the fall.

Some books just make me obsessed from first page. And Crossroads by Devney Perry is that kind of book. This small town second chance romance delivers heartwarming and angsty feels so beautifully and perfectly in every chapter. Devney Perry hit my heart so hard and I have not recovered from the book hangover yet. Indya is perfect combination of sweet, fierce and vulnerable. And West is just the most perfect kind of book boyfriend. Ruggedly handsome. Deliciously alpha. Extremely protective and caring.Yet having a broken side. If you are looking for a romance giving you all the feels, this is the book for you.

West Haven's family ranch and lodge is under despair. They are broke. His stubborn father isn't making it easy. He get the surprise of his lifetime when Indya Keller reappears at the ranch and announces that she has bought it. They fell in love over years, one summer at a time, when she visited the ranch with her parents every year. But eight years ago, their paths separated. He never thought their paths will cross again. But what is Indya doing here?

My heart was shredded and then the pieces brought together again by the author. Through flashbacks, we get to experience how West and Indya became friends when they were just kids to their late 20s when they fell in love but never got the chance to say that. Their time was always short but so precious. Right now there is years of resentment and heartbreak and longing between them. Indya is at a devastating point of her life. She has lost almost everything and saving this ranch is her last goal to fulfill. But West is hurt initially because he sees it as a betrayal. This ranch is his lifeline. His everything. He is killing himself trying to keep it alive. Is Indya trying to take away his legacy? But he is still hopelessly in love with the girl who got away and that woman has the golden heart. It takes a bit to believe that she isn't the enemy. And that helps the old feeling to come rushing back. West and Indya's deeply emotional connection is the backbone of this story. You cannot help but feel every single emotion deep in your heart. The light moments. The scorching hot chemistry. The heartache, the pain and the all consuming need for each other. They both have so many scars and only their love helped them to heal. They both have experienced lots of ups and downs in the time they didn't have any contact. This time has hardened them and hurt them and consolidated the fact that they are best with each other. West and Indya found their way back to each other at a particularly difficult time of their lives but love made everything better.

PS THE RANCH AND THE NATURE AND THE PEOPLE EVERYTHING WAS DESCRIBED SO BEAUTIFULLY THAT IT FELT LIKE READING A MOVIE SCRIPT.

I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

This was my first book by Devney and it was a solid 4⭐️ experience. I liked how fast this read was and how easy it was to connect with the characters and to start caring for what happens in the book. At times it felt slightly difficult to keep this connection though, as there were quite a few flashback chapters (probably around 30-40% of the book) and that took away page space for the current times love story. I enjoyed how West and Indya found each other throughout the book and how fluid the change between enemies to lovers and friends to lovers tropes was and in addition seasoned with a little bit of second chance romance as well. Sometimes it felt more the one, sometimes more the other tropes.

Concerning the characters, I found West to be a kind but not very open character. He is the quiet Cowboy type who doesn’t necessarily open up about his feelings easily. But trust me, it is worth the wait with him. In addition to him as main character, Indya is described in short that she loves her Dad and West. She is 100% loyal to her father and tries everything to treasure his memory and her memories with him in Montana. I liked her as a female lead in this book.

All in all I am very happy with this book and reading experience and hope to read more of Devney’s books in the future! This book gets my recommendation for anyone who would like to start a Cowboy romance journey or already loves the genre.

(A review will be posted on my Instagram and Goodreads on June 6th)

Devney Perry’s books make for a wonderful escape, and the first book in her new series, Crossroads is no exception.

I love the small town settings of her books, but a Montana guest ranch was a new setting. The story had a more epic feel, told in alternating POV and past and present time points. West and Indya were strong, stoic, kind, and emotionally mature, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop over time.

Despite the high flying real estate purchase, and the more sobering themes of loss, the present day events felt relatively low stakes, making for a very relaxing and satisfying read. I’d recommend to anyone who has enjoyed Devney Perry’s other series, or those looking for a sweet, friends to lovers romance.

Thank you Montlake and NetGalley for a copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

this is a deep and beautiful story. there is so much love, heartbreak, strength, trust, and acceptance between the characters here as they all navigate a new normal on the Haven River Ranch.

I loved Indya and her dedication to starting over, doing well by the ranch, and trying to find connection (or reconnection) in her life. she’s known so much heartbreak and I loved seeing her get a happy ending. West was a difficult character for me to understand. I get why he was upset by the sale of the ranch, but his whole life I didn’t get why he made the decisions he did regarding his family, friends, and Indya at times.

I loved the way he became a support for her, and how they worked together the make the ranch great. they have a beautiful connection and love story that has developed over their whole lives. the love, acceptance, and support shown between West and Indya was so beautiful to read.

thank you for the arc :)
