This is an exciting and enthralling, book. Kathleen went missing six months previously. Her sister Siobhan is still heartbroken by her disappearance. When Kathleen’s purse is found on the top of a cliff Siobhan decides to return home with her daughter, to try and solve the mystery. She isn’t made welcome in the village as everyone knows that the sisters had a big argument on the night Kathleen went missing and faces a lot of hostility especially from Kathleen’s husband. Siobhan realises that there is a killer at large especially when her daughter’s life is in danger. This was a gripping, tense thriller and I was totally hooked. A highly recommended read.

"The Missing Wife" by Sue Fortin is a suspense full of tension, with a storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
The story follows Siobhan, a sister who is determined to find her missing sibling, Kathleen, after a fight between them on the night she disappeared. As Siobhan digs deeper into Kathleen's life, she uncovers secrets and lies that threaten to tear her family apart.
What I loved about this book was the way it explored the complex relationships between sisters. The bond between Siobhan and Kathleen is deep and unbreakable, and it's clear that the author has a deep understanding of the ways in which siblings can both support and hurt each other.
The writing is also superb, with a pace that's fast and furious from start to finish. The characters are well-developed and complex, with motivations that are nuanced and believable. The plot twists are expertly handled, with surprises that will keep you guessing until the very end.
Overall, "The Missing Wife" is for anyone who loves a good thriller.

I have previously read a book by this author and loved it. It dragged on so much that I lost interest. It was just too predictable.

A woman goes missing and six months later her sister receives a call that her purse was found with a note inside that says Help Me. So sister travels to her town to figure out what she can do to help find her.

It was a slow paced, slow read. It was hard to keep my attention.

Thank you Netgalley, Sue Fortin and Storm Publishing for the Arc of The Missing Wife,

I found The Missing Wife a great read, It kept me engaged and had the right mixture of thriller, mystery and suspense. The basic storyline has been done before but Sue Fortin has built on a common premise and paces the narrative and characters well. A well worth read.

This was an okay read for me. It wasn't the worst but wasnt my favorite either. I think I wanted more out if it and it just didn't really deliver. It was too much like every other domestic thriller which made it kinda of boring.

Thank you, Netgalley and Storm Publishing, for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was an average read for me. I didn't find particularly amazing, but overall it was an okay read. There were some parts I enjoyed, all foreshadowing and secrecy, but everything else seemed so so.

I did not enjoy this book.

It dragged too much, I was not invested in any of the characters or the plot. I was irritated with the main character when investigating the disappearance of her sister. I found it hard to believe everyone involved did not question the disappearance more. When I finally found out what has been going on it felt a bit dramatic. The actions that were taken to protect this secret were dumb. The whole thing just seemed so over the top. There was no twist and turns. No big reveal. Just a slow story that unraveled bit by bit into an underwhelming ending.

Although I was terribly bored, I finished this book to write this review. At the end I was just glad it was over.

I always like to leave something positive, so I will say the story of the daughter Freya was a little interesting. Although she made stupid decisions (teenagers...) it was entertaining.

With thanks to NetGalley, Sue Fortin and Storm Publishing for my digital ARC to read in exchange for an honest review.

Relatively fast paced, multiple POVs. Didn’t hook me in suspense but still a good whodunnit mystery. Felt like a PG13 movie. Everyone got the ending they deserved, except Conor.

This is the kind of book that makes me forget about all my other obligations. I read nonstop! It's such an interesting family story; I love these stories, as I come from a large Catholic family (4 daughters and 3 sons). It's a pleasant read with a very interesting ending.

Kathleen is missing. No one knows where she is, or does someone. Siobhan, her sister, goes home to visit and gets caught up in the mystery when her missing sister's purse shows up. More of the townspeople are found to be involved, as Siobhan tries to unravel the mystery. 3 stars
