If there’s one cookbook I would recommend, it’s definitely this one!✨

The book in itself is beautiful and the recipes are really easy to understand and make.

This would be a perfect gift for someone that likes to bake/cook! 🧁

Thank you to Netgalley, Florence Stanton and the publisher for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own.

If you're looking to make something delicious to eat but short on time, then this is the book for you. Each recipe tells you how much time you need, ingredients, and an easy to follow step by step. With plenty of cheats and tips, this book is great for beginners. I can't wait to get cooking with some of the amazing recipes in this book!!

I enjoyed this ARC through NetGalley. Let’s just say I wasn’t very prepared when I started to gather my items needed. Make sure to have a scale that has batteries (my biggest mistake as I’ve not baked with grams so time to convert).

The recipes were great to look through and the one I chose to test was smores cookie cups. After the debacle with the scale it went to plan. Time frame was just about right when everything goes to plan. The cookie cups came out great and the hubby enjoyed them for his bday treat.

Part-Time Baker by Florence Stanton makes baking just a touch easier. I love the breakdown of hands-on time and total time - it seems pretty accurate. There are easier recipes and some that are more involved, but they are accessible. Cheat's Almond Croissants really is a cheat, but they are super yummy!

There are some amazing recipes in here that I have already ear marked to bake... these include Mini Egg Hot Cross Bins, Lemon & Passionfruit cake and Husband Tart and I have many more that I want to do. There is a lovely savoury selection too. I have already tried the Ultimate Chocolate Brownie and the kids will confirm they are amazing! I received this DRC from NetGalley.

This has a wide range of baking recipes that don't look too complex or intimidating. Most of the recipes fit on one page and have pictures. I hope the final version has pictures of all of the food. The food photography made the food look delicious. I also appreciated the info at the beginning about choosing ingredients.

The introduction was lovely, it has a really positive outlook on food and matches my own thoughts on baking so I felt I was already off to a good start with this one from the get go!

I really like the section on general tips and advice on ingredients and equipment. Sometimes I find you read a recipe and they expect you to know every technicality or possible outcome that they, a seasoned baker, already know so I like how this book provided that information at the start.

Baking is one of my favourite ways to get out of my own head but with my chronic pain and mental health it can sometimes feel like a chore rather than a hobby I thoroughly enjoy so I was excited to see what this book promised and happy to see it delivered. These are nice, simple recipes with clear directions. The cook time and total time are provided and are usually quite short and I thought the suggestions/tips were a nice touch.
I'm not sure if it was intended but this is a fantastic recipe book for disabled people, I always think myself and hear from others about how most recipes are too complicated and take too many spoons to follow so I will definitely be recommending this!

I love that the recipes are actually things I want to make. Maybe I'm just a really picky eater but I can't even count how many recipe books I've gone through and only one or two things appeal to me but I found myself enjoying almost every recipe here

I like that the recipes are made to be versatile, you can easily swap ingredients for something you would prefer/can access more easily. I find a lot of recipes are fairly strict on ingredients so this was nice to see and I think takes the pressure off. There is a nice mix of savory and sweet, fancy foods and casual eating. Something for every meal/event!

Part of what I liked about this was the language and format, it feels like reading a recipe a friend wrote for you not just a recipe book. Overall I really like this recipe book, I'm glad I got the opportunity to read this ARC and intend on buying the physical copy to try some of these recipes!

I loved this little book - It is my wish to bake and I always find it difficult as most baking requires a lot of time, technical cooking skills and a lot of items!
so this book really appealed to me as she has given some very yummy sounding recipes with the time mentioned - most were 20-30 mins, and a list of ingredients which are available in my region and the number of things required to make any 1 dish is not a long list.
Also, the way she has explained the recipe was simple, and as a beginner, it makes me feel confident to try them.
It is my endevour to learn some baking this year, and i am glad I found this book right at the start of my year :)
also, the photos are really nice - If my baking looks even half as pretty, it is a win for me :)

Initially I was surprised that there weren’t as many recipes that I had expected from a baking book however after taking the time to read through all the recipes I’ve concluded that the best recipe books are the ones that have bakes that I can’t wait to cook and this one certainly fills that criteria. The red lentil dal inspired sausage rolls look incredibly moorish and the ingredients have immediately been added to my shopping list for this week. I particularly appreciated the timings for each part of the bake with the ‘hands on’ time being a genius addition!

There are many recipes in this book that I am excited to try, but feel like the title of the book may be a bit misleading. I have been baking now for a few years, sticking mainly to easy cookies and loaf cakes. The book title suggested to me that the recipes in the book would be fast, easy, and simple. While everything looks delicious, many of the recipes involve a bit of time and experience that do not come across to me as simple.

The Part-Time Baker features fantastic recipes and photos. I’m not even a part-time baker - I’m more like an occasional pinch-hitter of a baker, but the skill level for the recipes seem to easy to advanced. This recipes are varied and not the common recipes one might expect from someone who doesn’t bake that often, as indicated by the title. I think that’s a misnomer, because these show great skill and creativity.

Holy yum! Thank you NetGalley for the advanced reader copy. I can not wait to dig in to so many of these recipes. I just read through the cookbook during an ice storm and there is no way this will be a coffee table book- it will have a place in my kitchen for sure.

As an amateur baker (at best) I found this book beyond helpful! The instructions are clear, the technique is sound, and so much of the science behind baking is explained concisely. I would recommend this book to any beginner who is starting out on their baking journey. The recipes features are all attainable and some even offer realistic shortcuts as to not be so overwhelming. The author describes these recipes as things she could reliable make at the end of a long day and not have it be a time consuming chore, and having tested a couple recipes out myself I agree! I especially love the range of options from common staples to mouth watering showstoppers, it's the perfect way to expand your palate and your skill as you grow comfortable with the art of baking.

A recipe book that promotes real baking many based upon yeasted dough recipes; it just emphasises how easy it is to make bread, scones, pastry as well as delicious cakes and buns. I've cooked like this all my life (alongside a full time job and children) and have always wondered why on earth people but ready-made. The author really helps newcomers by giving times actually required to prepare, prove when necessary and bake. Ingredients all easy to source, simple recipes and sometime helpful alternatives. Very nice illustrations and, all in all, a useful cook book. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy.

Love to bake, but don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen? If so, you’ll definitely want to pick up an excellent baking book, Part-Time Baker: Simple bakes without the stress, by food blogger, Florence Stanton (tasting-thyme.com.

There are dozens of mouthwatering recipes that bakers actually will want to make at home. The variety is amazing, and there are many unique bakes that are unexpected and are “must makes” for anyone who loves fresh and delicious baked goods for any occasion.

The recipes are written in the traditional manner, with the ingredients listed, followed by step-by-step instructions. There are also excellent and interesting comments at the beginning of each recipe, along with helpful tips. Anyone – with beginning to advanced baking abilities – can create picture perfect baked goods in shorter periods of time.

Many of the recipes come with beautiful, professional photographs which makes it difficult to decide what to make next. Every time readers peruse this cookbook, the queue of dishes to prepare will grow longer.

All told, bakers everywhere will want to add this fabulous cookbook to their cookbook collection. There is nothing to dislike about this book and it has become a new favorite. It makes a good gift for a bride or beginning baker, and some of the recipes will become classics.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

As a person who sees viral recipes and is constantly tempted by reels on Instagram but lacking a deep knowledge of baking this cook book is heaven sent. Giving step by step instructions to recipes with straight forward easy to handle ingredients this cookbook can make anyone feel confident in baking something delicious. Really enjoy the way this cook book doesn't just focus on after dinner desserts but has recipes for breakfast, lunch, teatime, and late night treat options. I mean a savory leek and potato turnover?! Say less.

Absolutely stunning photos. Nothing too complicated but a little more than I’m used to for baking. But I’d give some of them a try. This book would make a nice gift.
