The book is visually appealing and will help kids learn their barn animals. However, something about it seems less whimsical and engaging than the one about the jungle animals, but I can’t place what. Still, very good and useful.
At the Farm is a fun interactive and easy read for children learning what animals are. It will also be helpful in teaching them how to read. I think this book would be great for it’s Intended audience.
This is a cute pop-up book which is very entertaining. It’s also really fun and quick to read I would highly recommend and I think it’s just generally like a really good book if you are looking for something fun and easy to read
This lift the flap book is adorable. The illustrations are bright and colorful and the text is fun and engaging. This book would be so much fun to read with younger children at bedtime.
I remember absolutely enjoying those picture books that popped up when I was younger. This would be the perfect book for one of those children who enjoy fun and interactive stories. It was quite fascinating opening up the pages and having the animals pop out. A young reader will absolutely adore this.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with access to read this book!
This is the cutest interactive kids book! I love these because they are perfect for children to do and they're packed with surprises under each flap. Thank you NetGalley for early access to this cute and fun filled book that I can read to my niece.
I love the hi-five flapbook series.
They are just the right amount of fun, interactive, and in the series they are also based at the farm, adding a little bit of an educational element there.
I would definitely buy it for any kids in my life.
At the Farm by Jess Hitchman is a colorful book for very young children. It is a lift the flap book where animals on the farm are hiding under the flaps, waiting to high five. The book ends with a mirror so that the baby/toddler sees him/herself. The illustrations are eye catching and the prose rhymes, making it a book that will keep the baby’s attention and help with learning to identify farm animals. The book was an appropriate length for the age. My children would have really enjoyed the story when they were very young. I would have enjoyed reading the interactive story with them. I am voluntarily submitting this honest review after reading an advanced complementary copy of this boo k thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books.
You can't go wrong with this cute and colorful lift-a-flap about farm animals. It's very much up updated Spot on the Farm style book. The last lift a flap is a mirror, so the child can see themselves as a little farmer.
This will go over very well at my rural library.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. We will be purchasing.
The illustrations are fantastic and who doesn’t love a flap book. This is a book that will be read over and over again I’m sure!
Cute lift the flap book perfect for a quick read. It's very short, so best for babies and younger toddlers.
Eye catchy and cute! Will definitely keep the attention of short attention span children. The ending was the best.
At the Farm is a beautiful and absolutely adorable board book and a great way for toddlers to learn animal names while interacting with the book.
Another lovely Lift-the-flap playbook by Jess Hitchman.
In this At The Farm playbook, baby readers will meet five animals. Before moving to the next page, baby readers can have a wild guess of who will they meet next, because the lift-and-flap design only shows a few distinctive part of the animal friend.
Let’s high-five and make more new friends
This is a fun interactive board book for babies!
I find the book totally eye catching with fun illustrations. A good one.
Thank you, Frances Lincoln Children’s Books, for the advance reading copy.
Another delightful book in the High Five series, At the Farm introduces little ones to various farm animals and where they stay on the farm. It is engaging with a lovely cadence and nice illustrations. Sure to be a hit for any toddler.
