In the Jungle is a cute, rhyming, interactive children’s story. It’s colorful, eye catching and a nice introduction for little ones to animals and their characteristics.

This book popped out at me! It is colorful and happy! Who doesn’t like flip books! I especially like that there’s mirror at the end for the kiddos to high-five themselves, I just hope it’s a clear mirror and not the ones that you can’t actually see yourself in.

Thank you so much for the ARC of In the Jungle.

After reading this interactive book, I think it will be a great book for toddlers at home, school, or even at the library. Toddlers love to high five (I happen to have a toddler right now) and what a sweet way to learn about animals in the jungle then to flip the flaps to high five them! Books that are interactive and engaging help kids at a young age to develop a love of reading and I think this book fits into that category well!

In the Jungle by Jess Hitchmen is part of a High Five Baby series. This lift the flap book is geared towards babies and toddlers. The illustrations are vibrant and the text rhymes, creating n engaging little book just long enough to capture a young child’s attention and help with identifying jungle animals, finishing up with baby’s favorite animal, him/herself! The child is encouraged to “high five” each animal as it is found, keeping him/her engaged. I would definitely read this to a very young child. I am voluntarily writing this honest review after reading n advanced complementary copy of this book thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books, Happy Yak Imprints.

A flap playbook like this is very entertaining. I can imagine the kids I know getting obsessed with a concept like this (kids hold on to an obsession for 48 hours at max so this is a win)
I love that such a concept gives the kids a playful introduction to the animals.

This colorful board book will be appreciated by babies and toddlers everywhere. We lift the flaps to see a several jungle animals, including a monkey and super sweet sloth. At the end, baby will lift the flap to see a mirror, where they will see themselves as a little lion.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

This is a very simple picture book for very young children. Each page is written with the first line of a short rhyme and when they lift the flap, it finishes the rhyme and invites the child to high five the animal. Finishing with a mirror to include the child in the story is a lovely touch. Very simple, bold pictures, this would be a lovely book for a baby or toddler.

This book is beautifully designed with popping illustrations. The rhyming words will be easily repeated and loved by readers. Little bookworms will love the animals and enjoy exploring as they turn the flaps up! Can’t wait for this book to be published.

Playful, fun and educational book.

Baby readers will meet four animals in In the Jungle. By flipping the pages, meeting a new animal friend, having a high-five…! And finally there’s a super guest the baby reader will meet.

Lovely content, beautiful picture and creative idea. I’m sure the physical will be so much fun to read!

Books like In the Jungle are some of my favorite for the early toddler stage. The rhyming and activity that kids get to engage in help nurture a love for reading and literature. This book has a great cadence to it, and the illustrations are very pleasing.
