Switched is the second book in the Ghosted series, but it can be read as a standalone.

It took me a while to get into this book. I guess I didn’t really like the characters. But then…the switch happened! The main characters — Serena and Henry — switch bodies. And it was actually pretty funny seeing Serena’s reactions in Henry’s body.

Overall, this was a cute and fun read. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book, but it wasn’t bad.

The audiobook was great. Kelsey always does a fantastic job portraying emotions. My only gripe is that James only narrated one chapter. I was expecting more of his narration, since he was listed as a narrator.

The way that this read... turned into some weird body horror instead of romance. Anything that was supposed to be quirky or cute or funny just annoyed me. The tangents during actually interesting parts of the story made this worse for me.

This was my first Audio book from the author and I definitely loved listening to it whole heartedly!! The way Henry was described in this book was totally different to how he gradually changed into the man towards the end of the book!! It was like they were meant to be from the very beginning but due to the stubborn fierceness shared between both Henry and Serena, it had come to a unexpected event of switching places!! But then they both understand their lives from living it from each other's shoes literally!! It was whether funny at times when Serena was trying to protect Henry's image when being switched!!

I never listened to it because my NetGalley app wasn't working properly. So I had to uninstall it and then all but two of my audio books were gone.

I wanted to read this because I have heard so much about it and also seen fans of this writer and books on the Discord server I am in & The books sounded fun.

But unfortunately, this story was not for me, I did appreciate some of the humour in this book and the story itself but I just couldn't connect with the characters (if I don't connect with a character I don't care what happens to them or for them) so the story didn't pack the romantic punch like it was supposed to.

Now I will say I did like the switching bodies avenue that was taken in this book (live a day in someone else's shoes to know how it feels), was a good angle to take and some of the things brought up you can tell there has been some research on certain things.

I can see others loving this but it's just not for me and I am a little upset about that because I wanted to join the love for these books

There are funny moments, but also some emotional moments with realizations about family throughout the story.
I liked the execution of the story and the message behind it.

Serena Otaki spends her life fully dedicated to science, which leaves her no time for a relationship. But all this changes when she meets Henry Joule. The attraction between them is instant and leads to a one-night stand. What neither of them expected was an electric storm which had Serena and Henry switching bodies. Oh no! So not only they have to behave and act as the other person, on top this they have to figure out what happened and, most importantly, to fix this!

I really enjoyed Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Addison Foster's performances. It was charming and engaging, and I feel they brought these characters to life in the best way. It was easy to understand how Serena and Henry felt when dealing with family's situations, and with basically everything that was happening in their lives.

There was also some more scientific talk, which makes sense giving the story of the book, but it was easy to follow the story and just feel connected to the characters at all times.

Serena and Henry's initial encounter is both hilarious and awkward, starting with Serena’s pants literally getting stuck to the booth. She ends up having to borrow his jacket as she leaves the bar in a rather undignified state. They head back to his hotel and get to know each other a little too well, leading Henry to fall for her almost instantly. Serena feels the spark too, but as someone focused on her career and avoiding relationships, she quickly pushes him away. The twist? He turns out to be her new boss—awkward indeed.

The story dives deep into the world of physics, so be prepared for some science-heavy dialogue. Despite their differences, Serena and Henry are forced into each other’s lives in the most unexpected way—by literally switching bodies. This happens right before Henry's brother’s wedding, leaving Serena to navigate the event as Henry. Soon after, a situation with Serena's family arises, and Henry has to step into her shoes. The whole concept is absurdly fun—because who would believe such a thing?

Both characters do an impressive job playing each other. Henry even gets the dubious honor of experiencing a period for the first time, which adds a layer of humor to the already chaotic situation.

Overall, *Switched* offers a mix of funny, unbelievable moments and some clever banter. While it requires a suspension of disbelief, it’s an entertaining read that brings plenty of laughs.

An interesting take on the bodyswap trope. I liked the exploration of different traits staying with the body vs moving with the soul/consciousness.
I really enjoyed all the science-y, nerdy framing early on but once the swap happened, that pretty much all fell away.
The narrator of the audiobook does a surprisingly incredible job keeping it clear and consistent who is speaking, despite the inherit confusion of a bodyswap, where the two characters are trying to do each others' accent. I don't think there was a single time where I was confused about who said what.

Oh, and also a very sweet romance about seeing beyond yourself and your preconceived ideas about love & life.

Sarah Ready is fast becoming a favourite of mine.

It’s only the second book of Sarah Ready that I read, but I start thinking I love her books ! I adored this one a bit less than the first, but I still spent an excellent time filled with laughter and cute moments.

I’m not such a nerd, but I do love a good science love story (Hi Ali Hazelwood) and I felt like Switched was one of them. From the start, I really liked the characters personalities, even though after the switch there are two sides of the penny. The first one is we get to know them much better ans it’s really fun seeing them struggling with the switching. On the other side, it can be a little weird seeing them loving the other so much when they literally look line themselves, so some scenes are quite strange.

The audio was ok even though sometimes I got a bit lost between the voices, and I’m glad there was only one chapter from Henry’s point of view since I hated his « true male » voice.

Overall a very good read, fun, with a really cute ending.

I enjoyed reading this book, way better than the first one because of how much fun this book has to offer. I know being switched is a common theme but I liked that science was involved in the switch happening. I also enjoyed the adventures, specially the meeting the family, that gave me a huge laugh. I'd love to read more from this author.

Switched by Sarah Ready is like a rom-com ‘Freaky Friday’. It has also a STEM element to the book, the primary reason I picked the book and its location.

It was not an enjoyable read for me. Maybe I should give it another go. But I was not vibing with it. There were funny scenes but overall maybe it was the narrations were a bit annoying.

Have you ever wished ‘Freaky Friday’ was a rom-com? No? Me neither. But I trust Sarah Ready, everything she puts out ends up pretty good, and this is no exception!

Freaky Friday really is the best way to describe it though. After a one night stand/ love at first sight meet-cute goes horribly awry, two co-worker switch bodies. What ensues is a very silly charade where the main characters proceed to fake their way through family functions acting as each other, and inevitably learning to understand each other along the way. That might simplify things a little too much, the plot is written with a lot more grace than that comes across as, but in a nutshell there ya go.

I didn’t realize this took place in the same world as ‘Ghosted’ until 1/3 of the way through the book. So, If you haven’t read that, don’t worry, you don’t need to. It’s a fun little Easter egg (one I personally enjoyed because ghosted is my favorite Sarah Ready book) and not much else. There’s virtually no plot crossover, just the odd few characters and similar themes.

Honestly if this concept was done by anyone else it would likely just be something trite and I wouldn’t have loved it. This was good though, and a great reminder for why Sarah is a must read for me!

Overall enjoyed this STEM romance take on a freaky Friday vibe! Originally I thought it was reading like an Ali Hazelwood book but then it added that next level of fun. A cool story line with intertwined thoughts and feelings throughout.

An easy listen, even with all the Sci fi references and physics lingo!

This is not my genre, fantasy/magic, body swtiching, couldn't get into it and couldn't get me investedin the love story

This book was such a pleasant surprise! It takes the Freaky Friday trope and flips it on its head in such an ingenious way! Also add in a bit of STEM and romance *swoon*

I really enjoyed how the author intermingled the characters’ own emotions, thoughts, feelings, needs, cravings in with the body’s they’re inhabiting. It really gives a whole new perspective to one of my favorite types of stories. I cackled like a hyena when poor Henry had to endure a period. Probably the absolute funniest piece of writing I’ve experienced ever.

I was NOT expecting to tear up at some places in the book…but alas, here I am getting emotional, kicking my feet, giggling, belly laughing at some parts and cringing with second hand embarrassment at others. I cannot recommend this book more!

Let me start by saying Thank You to NetGalley for this audio book. Sarah Ready doesn't disappoint.

This book was funnier than the first! I had an amazing time to listening this book.

My only struggle with this audio was all of the "scientific" talk, it seemed pointless for more than 30% of this book. The main female character babbled for a huge part of the beginning. It made it very hard to continue listening, I was close to a DNF around the 30% mark. I pushed though it and I'm extremely happy that I did. I have never had an audio book make me laugh as much as this one did. The banter and love story between these two characters was worth it all. This storyline was absolute genius. No part of me could even guess how this was going to end or how the characters were going to find their way out of each other's bodies.

I would have loved to give this book 5 stars, but the beginning was difficult to get through. I can't wait for Sarah's next book!

This was a super cute story with lots of nerdy Star Trek references that were all fantastic! I love the growth and development with the characters within the story. This is the Second book in the ghosted series but you do not need to read the first one to be able to enjoy the story. You do get to see a few cameo’s of the first couple throughout this book and it was adorable. I cannot wait to read more from this author. I was able to listen to the audio narration of this book and the audio narrator did a fantastic job.
