A healthy mix of shenanigans, love, passion, friendship, fear, sadness and surprises greet the readers in Switched. It is the second part in the series Ghosted, can easily be read as standalone.Written in layman's language,I was immersed in the story from the start till the end.

This marks my second audiobook! It was fun to listen to, even though I found the spicy parts a bit odd when read out loud!

This was my first book by Sarah Ready, and it was narrated by Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster.

The first half of this one really introduced the characters and set the stage. We meet Serena, a California girl living in Geneva, a physicist working at the Hadron Collider. She loves her cat, her messiness, and Star Trek. She loves her job and has no time for love.

Henry Joules is British, and he meets Serena in a funny way when she’s stuck in a pub. Truly Serena’s opposite; he’s tidy as a pin, loves tea, and adores his family. He can’t wait to meet the right woman. The only thing they have in common is a love of science.

Even though they hit it off at first, Serena pushes him away. That mostly works until one night at work, there’s an accident, and somehow, they switch bodies!

This is where the fun of the book started for me as they tried to figure out how to undo the switch and trick their families into believing they weren’t switched. There are the funny parts about having body parts you are not used to and using the right accent. The switch also comes with that person’s memories and tastes. So now, all of a sudden, Serena wants tea and red meat in Henry’s body.

My favorite parts were going to Henry’s brother’s wedding and visiting California to see Serena’s ailing mother. They both learn so much about each other, their families, and what it would take to build a life together. Can they figure out how to switch back or are they doomed?

Kelsey Navarro Foster is a narrating BOSS. I loved listening to this audio so much. Not only is Sarah Ready's writing beautiful, but Kelsey really made Serena come to life for me.

Serena was really set in her ways, not only in life, but also in love. She didn't want to give up her "self" in order to be a couple. There wasn't an outstanding example of coming together to be better vs losing yourself in another for her. This was definitely a different way of learning about love, but I loved it!

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ALC. This is my honest opinion.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Switched by Sarah Ready, an audiobook narrated by Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster is a super sweet and fun romance! This is the second book in the Ghosted series and I loved both of them!
You can read/listen to this as a standalone but you will better understand if you will finish Ghosted first!

First of all, I think that I would listen to a 200-page restaurant menu written by Sarah Ready and narrated by Kelsey Navarro (or Sarah Naughton, the narrator from Ghosted) and enjoy it without question! I LOVE Sarah Ready's writing! It's so enjoyable! I always want to say it's so yummy but not sure this is the correct way to describe the writing style! It's like, I can't get enough!
This (and the first book) was such a joy! It's emotional but light and easy! It's sweet but not really cheesy! Probably the first 13 chapters could be done in 5 as more inpatient readers would want to get to the point but I loved it. As I said, I could listen to anything by her!

Back to the book!
Physicist Serena found her love in atoms and she is not ready for any other love!
Physicist Henry loves atoms and women and is ready for his big love to come.
They are so perfect and so imperfect for each other but in line to understand this they need different experiences - they need to switch!

Seriously, the way they think, talk, and interact! I loved it so much! How much they exploring and discovering - just so amazing!

I have been waiting for this book since I finished Ghosted! I just knew that I would love it and I did!

Thank you NetGalley and W. W. Crown, and imprint of Swift & Lewis Publishing, LLC for this copy!

Love at first sight it’s what Henry felt when he saw Serena for the first time. After a night of passion and full connection Serena left him. They’ve been working together for almost two years without acknowledging that special night. But when magic happens and they are forced to spend time together, their connection can help them find themselves or break them forever. A delightful magic story about trust, family, and love. Sarah Ready at her best. The audiobook with Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster is amazing, they make an excellent job with the characters and all their feelings and emotions

If you read Ghosted then you probably remember the scientist, best friend who lives in Geneva, well in this book we get her story.

Serena lives for science, her career is her number one priority while love has not even a spot on her list. After a one night with a stranger makes her feel more than she wanted or expected she does what she does best and runs away from her feelings. But she can't run from him since it turns out that Henry is her new boss.

There is a time jump and then we see how they continue to work together until one fateful night while they are working they switch bodies, now Serena lives in Henry's body and they have to work together to fix their predicament before it's too late.

The forced proximity was so good, they literally got to live in each other shoes which made them truly understand each other in a very unique and special fashion.

I didn't love Serena at first, especially after she shut down on Henry and with the way she treated him after their night together. Seeing where she came from and how she was thinking helped to understand her better for sure.

Henry was a sweetheart, I wish he had his own chapters in the book in order to see his pov and what he was thinking in certain occasions.

I got to read and listen to the book and I enjoyed both formats equally. The narrators did a great job with the accents and narration while the ebook had some fun graphics along the way.

* I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

What a delightful read! It’s a story about a messy but passionate and practical, goal oriented woman and a man who is also intelligent but can do anything for love who switched bodies and have to live each others lives for some days. I personally felt connection with the female main character, her thoughts about love and her passion for her career also how both the main characters worked out their relationship. I love how they were so different but still manages to stick together and how they were switched and lived each others lives. I personally LOVED his brother’s wedding plot. It was so wholesome! There were many sweet moments which were heartwarming. I enjoyed reading it ❤️

2.75 stars 🌟

this was my first arc read and I am quite pleased (don’t be put off by the rating I genuinely did enjoy it)

to sum up this book is what you would get if you combine freaky friday and the big bang theory. so if you like either of those you’d probably enjoy this <33

I would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for this arc i had such a wonderful time. honestly I think this being on audio really really helped bc it takes me a long time to get to and from school and im always doing chores which is how I flew through this in such a short amount of time 🫶🏼

im still kinda stuck on the rating because i enjoyed it and it was a nice way to pass the time but idk i feel like im just gonna forget it soon

the story follows two main character, serena and henry who are physicists and sort of enemies.
⤷ and by enemies I mean the kind you get in most contemporary romances “I hate him but im kinda in love with him” kinda vibe.

my favourite part of this book however was the narration !! I think the narrator did an INCREDIBLE job because basically the mmc is male (duh) and british so when they swapped bodies the voice for half of the book was just the girl doing a terrible british guy accent LMAOO and I loved it so much ~

now onto my least favourite part. the science.
don’t get me wrong some of it was fine and being a physics girly myself I liked it but THE EUPHEMISMS WERE NOT IT !! like just say it how it is no need for the weird metaphors

also I hate when they break the fourth wall and it happened quite a few times.

all in all it was a nice cute palate cleanser and a perfect february read <3

I received this ARC as an audiobook from NetGalley.

I really enjoyed this book! It was such a unique plot, reminiscent of some pop culture nostalgic movies, but done in such new and unique way and it just had all the good feels. I loved that it featured a woman in STEM and that she was so passionate about her love of science.

The narrators were great and the story was very well paced. All in all a really fun read!

Serena is a physicist avoiding love in all measures for fear of giving up her career. One night, in a local pub, she meets Henry. After talking and a one night stand, Serena runs from her feelings and ends any and all communication with a potential love interest. She wants absolutely nothing to do with love and marriage. Henry, a super serious Brit, loves to research and drink hot tea. He wants everything Serena does not. He is pursuing finding the love of his life and marriage. Until one night, 2 years later a big storm hits and worlds collide. Serena and Henry switch bodies. Serena is now Henry and Henry is now Serena. Will Serena and Henry change their minds? Will they find true love?

I really LOVED this book!! Sarah Ready made me laugh out loud several times. Such a perfect Rom-Com. A well rounded story without any plot holes or any parts of the story left unfinished. I would definitely recommend this book! Thanks to NetGalley, W. W. Crown, and imprint of Swift & Lewis Publishing, LLC, and Members Audiobooks for this advanced listeners copy!

Sarah Ready's latest book, "Switched," is a fun and charming romantic comedy. It follows the story of Serena Otaki, a Californian who loves physics, and Henry Joule, a Brit who's a bit uptight. Their lives take a wild turn when an electric storm at the Large Hadron Collider causes their souls to switch bodies.

I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster. They did a great job, making the story come alive with their voices. The audio version kept me hooked from the beginning.

The majority of the story is told by Serena, the main character. It feels like she's talking to you about her life. The author successfully infuses humour into the plot, creating laugh-out-loud moments. Scenes such as Serena's dad unknowingly trying to intimidate Henry, who is now in Serena's body, or when switched Henry experiences menstrual cramps and freaks out.

The story mixes science facts with the idea of switched souls. It might sound a bit like fantasy and sci-fi, but the author blends them well. Toward the end, Serena talks about how we all see the world through different lenses, and even if we think we've taken them off, sometimes they're still affecting how we see things. It's a thoughtful touch in the midst of all the fun.

I really enjoyed the story and found some relatable moments. Sarah Ready has a way of combining romance, comedy, and a bit of the extraordinary. If you liked her previous books, you'll definitely enjoy "Switched." Big thanks to Netgalley for giving me an advance copy to review. Looking forward to more from this author!

I enjoyed this unique, funny, nerdy, opposites attract romance about two physicist colleagues who switch bodies. I enjoyed the different POV's. The book was a little bit of a slow start for me, but it really picked up and I devoured it.
It was funny & sweet, and a great escape from daily life.
I hadn't even read the synopsis before I started the book, as I had previously read 'Ghosted' and 2 other Sarah Ready books that I thought were wonderful! This was an immediate yes for me.

The book itself was interesting - with a quirky and intelligent Serena and a serious but extremely sweet and thoughtful Henry. A lot of science info and fun family dynamic, it was very clever, quirky and funny.
I loved 'Ghosted' and couldn't wait to read book 2 in the 'Gosted' series. While it does reference Characters from the first one, 'Switched' could be read as a stand alone.

Thank you to NetGalley, Sarah Ready, and the publishers for the ARC of the e-book and audiobook!
I loved being able to listen to the audiobook as well as read the ebook and see the footnotes, diagrams and doodles that were throughout the book.

4⭐️

I started reading this physically and switched to the audiobook. The audiobook really worked for me. The narration is really well done. The narrator does a great job capturing/jumping back and forth between accents sometimes with the same character! I am going to check out more books with the narrator as she did a great job.

I thought this book was really cute and quirky. What really made this book work for me was the writing style. I loved the use of the footnotes it brought in some humor and uniqueness to this story. I also loved the use of breaking the fourth wall to the audience.

The dialogue of this book was really well done and I thought it was super relatable. It also made the two main characters Serena "Ducky" and Henry really loveable. I really liked the freaky Friday body switch. I thought it was really interesting how that each got some fragments of memory. Not realizing their remembering a day that we're together from each others point of view.

It did have my favorite trope of he fell first but it also had some other tropes that really don't work for me personally. Such as instant love. In the first chapter he is talking about how this is love at first sight. I did appreciate the time jump after this and made it a bit more tolerable. There was also a reveal in middle that I felt was not needed for this story and kind of discredited the authenticity of the love at first site.

Overall I thought this was a lovely story with a lot of heart. The things that didn't work for me was my own personal preferences. I'm interested to read more from author. I would recommend this story to fans of Ashley Poston, where there is a mix of supernatural/magical realism.

Thank you to NetGalley and W.w. Crown for the advanced audio copy. My review is voluntarily my own.

This was my first book read by this author and it was really cute! I’m glad I had the audio, because I’m not sure I would’ve finished otherwise, but it was a quick and cute audio for sure!

This was a fun book! It reminded me of Freaky Friday as a romance. I loved the premise and the characters and how their relationship developed throughout the book. I would definitely be interested in reading more of this series and more from this author. Parts of it were a little spicy, but I could feel the depth of the love between the characters. The narrator almost sounded sarcastic and wasn't my favorite. I received a free copy of this book from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

I'm very selective with my audiobooks and don't listen to them often. I knew I liked most of what I had read from Ready so I gave this one a try. It was so entertaining. I liked the characters and the storyline. The voices worked so well! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Sarah Ready has taken a classic concept of body switching and given it fresh life in this sweet tale. The journey of the main characters to truly understand one another is one I think everyone can understand. That desire to experience life as the person you love is something I know I have always experienced, and this book captures that desire perfectly. I found the situation humor really cute, and I enjoyed when the female main character broke the 4th wall. I thought that was a really unique take on the wall breaking. I felt the way the author used science as a way to describe the character's relationship enjoyable. I do love a STEM romance.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to both NetGalley and the author for this opportunity. I used the Audio version of this specific book.

This book is very “Freaky Friday”-esque with a little extra magic and spice thrown in!

This novel has started SO fun and the humor is top notch. I laughed SO hard at Vinny and his pussycat and sausage! And Master Bates? I about fell off my chair, I was cackling so hard!

Physics/academia, a Brit/US pairing, differences in beliefs of love, and a little bit of magic? What could go wrong? Or even more so, what could go RIGHT?

This book kept me captivated for the entirety of the read and I did not want to put it down. This will make for a great cozy fall romance book, with the magical vibes. There will be a lot of laughs and some surprises around each corner. For fans of spice, there was a small amount of it in this book, but the spice that WAS there? It was so so good!

I cannot wait to read more of Sarah Ready’s books, just based on reading this book alone! This was my first novel by this author and it most certainly will not be my last.

I loved the creativity of this story, A mix of workplace romance with science and Freaky Friday, Switched is engaging and entertaining. As far as the romance I wish I felt the chemistry more, everything else was brilliantly described while the romance seemed take a bit of a back seat. The audio book narration was very good.
