I loved this book. As usual this author delivers. The FMC doesn't believe she can have a successful career and a relationship at the same time. Growing up watching her mom give her whole life to being a mother and wife has made her believe she had to choose between love or a career. The universe however will show her the way. This book will make you laugh and cry and has so many enlightening moments. I'm loving this series!

This is a fun, entertaining, good read. Henry and Serena are interesting, relatable, intriguing, entertaining, fun, captivating, complex characters. These two captured my attention from the start and held it until the very end – I loved their meet cute. The growth of the characters through out the course of the story is fun to read. I loved the family and friend aspects of the story. The romance is very fitting for these characters and this series. The various secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. I love that we got to see the couple from the first book in the series and that we got an epilogue. This series is quirky and fun to read. The book is easy to get into and read. Given the story plot, I wish we had gotten more from Henry’s perspective – would have been fun 😊.

LOVED part 2 of this fun series!! Over the past year Sarah Ready has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I read and listened to Switched and enjoyed it so much!

Serena, a Star Trek loving California girl is all in for work. Henry is on the opposite end of the spectrum. He is a very organized British man who adored his family and of course Physics as well. He wants love, she does not.

These two meet in very strange circumstances and have a one night stand. For him, love at first sight, for her its a not! Fast forward to the very next day when he discovers why she left so abruptly, they work together. They spend years working side by side but as nothing more than friends. That is until one night things get a little crazy and they switch bodies, like a Freaky Friday switch.

Either way things play out, their lives are forever changed.

Great feel good romantic comedy with science and sci-fi, the perfect mix! The narrators of this book were very good as well which made for a very enjoyable read/listen! Serena and Henry meet and have an amazing time together, only for Serena to discover they will be working together. Serena has commitment issues and hilarity ensues. Serena and Henry are just... Chef's kiss. I loved them. I fell head over heels for Henry. For me he's the perfect hero

There is humour, yearning, swooning and a compelling plot line.

Faultless. There is nothing I didn't like.

A gorgeous read with a huge feel good factor.

I now need to go back and read Sarah Ready's backlist.

4.5 stars overall but 5 stars for the narration! I really appreciate how tough this book was for character accents and characters as other characters and their accents. It was done so well! Sarah Ready has become one of my favorite authors. Her books always hit me emotionally while simultaneously making me laugh. I absolutely loved Ghosted, and was excited Serena was getting her own story after meeting her there first. It was fun to see Jillian and Daniel pop in as well. The star of Switched for me though is Henry. I just want to protect this sweet man at all costs. I enjoyed the story and seeing how it all came together in the end. I definitely recommend reading Ghosted first to enjoy all the Easter eggs from the first book. Overall a great read! Highly recommend listening to the audio!

This book was quirky, funny and had a lot of heart. It was just such a feel good time that I had trouble putting it down! The body switching led to some truly hilarious scenes and thought this was seriously just a good read. Suspend your disbelief and you’ll have a great time.

Switched is a quirky science based rom com with a dash of magical realism. Across between the love hypothesis and freaky Friday, I can see this being enjoyed by fans of Ali Hazelwood.

Serena and Henry are scientists who share a one night stand before awkwardly discovering that Henry is Serena’s new boss. The awkwardness is further perpetuated with Serena spurs Henry’s advances, and then a mishap in the lab triggers a body swap.

I was first attracted to this book as an audiobook due to Kelsey Foster Navarro’s narration, which didn’t disappoint. She brought Henry and Serena’s banter to life, and I think I enjoyed this more as an audiobook than ebook. The character voices were great, especially when she had to speak as Henry in Serena’s body and vice versa!

I struggled to get into Serena and Henry’s relationship in the first half of the book, and I would have loved to learn more about what happened during the time jump. However I found myself much more invested in the second half. I loved the way their family members featured in the stories, and both characters relationship with both sets of parents. I found the ending really engaging, and overall would recommend this as a cute and cosy read.

I admit that I struggled to get connected to this book but expect that it was more my attention span than anything because once I was in, I was in. Freaky Friday kids, this one's for us! A fun rom-com that reminds us that the best part of knowing someone is accepting them as they are and not who you want them to be.

This was a quirky, funny, nerdy rom-com about two physicists who switch bodies due to an incident in the laboratory and how they develop a deeper appreciation for each other by having to (literally) walk in each other's shoes.

Serena is a cooky free-spirited, sci-fi-loving, coffee-drinking vegetarian Californian who loves to smash atoms at The Large Hadron Collider in Geneva but never wants to fall in love. Henry is a straight-laced, meat-eating, tea-drinking, intensely organized Brit who loves physics almost as much as his big family and can't wait to settle down. They couldn't be more different, but they didn't know all that the night they had a life-changing one-night stand. Not interested in love, Serena stops things before they can start, but fast forward to a year later, and these colleagues are caught in an electrical storm at the lab. With no memory of the storm's aftermath, they each awake the following day only to find they switched bodies. A series of hijinks ensue as Serena and Henry discover more about what makes the other tick and the feelings they'd each been hiding about the night they spent together.

This one requires a lot of suspension of disbelief, and the concept of falling in love with someone while inhabiting their body gives me a bit of an *ick*. However, they are fun and funny characters, have a hilarious meet-cute, and their families are top-notch. So, if you are looking for a quick, humorous read, this fits the bill. It is the second in a series but can be read stand-alone.

Switched features Serena and Henry, two physicists who work in Switzerland on the same team and have mutual unrequited feelings after a hookup several years ago. Due to an abnormality in the hadron collider and a storm outside, somehow their bodies switch one night - and they are stuck to deal with the aftermath and how to get back to normal.

I found this story unique and enjoyable. I don't think science matches up with the way everything went down in the story, but am willing to suspend belief for a HEA. :)

I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the narrations of Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster.

I wanted to love this more than I did. “I don't do commitment for reasons” isn’t my favorite sub trope. I wanted it to be because they had a lovely meet cute and a magical night together so she tries to immediately ruin it. I didn't love that she would rather have been cruel to him than just tell him, hey, I'm not interested in dating right now.

Loved that she was a physicist who works on the Hadron Collider but I work in bank and didn’t understand most of the science because my science knowledge threshold is super low. There's a glitch or accident and poof They wake up in each other's bodies and have to pretend to be the other person until they can figure out how to switch back. Spoiler: it does not go perfectly.

I thought the narrators did an excellent job. The accents they used as the other person cracked me up.

When Serena and Henry meet one night in Geneva, they have instant chemistry. And after spending the night together, they realize it might even be love.

But then Serena learns that Henry is her new boss at CERN, a physics lab that has the top equipment in the world. Once she learns this, Serena quickly alters her behavior to push Henry away–and it works.

Then, one night, their atom smashing machine goes awry and Henry and Serena wake up in each other’s bodies. They seek each other out and have to stay together to convince their respective families that nothing has changed.

Over the course of learning the other so thoroughly, the two realize that maybe their flash of love was more than just infatuation.

🌌 My thoughts:

This was such a fun concept for a rom-com. I loved the physics aspects of the story and it sent me on a rabbit hole of digging into CERN.

There was a lot of humor related to waking up in the body of someone of the opposite sex (hello first time period!) But more than that, this story has a lot of heart and Henry and Serena learn about each other’s families and what makes the other tick.

I did find the whole kissing in swapped bodies kind of odd. Not bad, just kind of awkward.

Overall, a super cute listen.

🎧 Audiobook narrator Kelsey Navarro Foster was a great fit for this story and did a phenomenal job. The additional chapters narrated by James Anderson Foster were wonderful as well.

It was just so easy to get lost in this great story. I just didn’t want it to end. I just lost myself in and I just couldn’t get enough of these interesting characters. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

I just love Sarah Ready books and this one was no exception. Cute with a dash of high-brow humor.

This book felt like a 2000 disney channel original movie . I quite liked the writing style.

Serena “Ducky’ is a theoretical physicist living in Geneva, Switzerland. She is in the local pub and finds herself in a precarious predicament, she is stuck to a chair. Henry is across the room and watches as she tries to remove herself from the chair and comes to help. They eventually end up going back to Henry’s room and have a mind-blowing evening together, which is where Serena finds out through email that Henry is her new boss. What started out as a perfect night together ended with the two of them ignoring each other for the next two years at work. That is until a storm somehow has the two stitching bodies. Learning how another person lives is not always easy, especially when it involves thoughts of breasts and periods, and family events. Henry and Serena must figure out how to get back to their own body, while Serena has to come to terms with some of her own preconceived ideas of what love is.

I almost didn’t choose to listen to this book. The cover wasn’t appealing to me and felt YA . There are some generalized light spicy scenes. The paranormal aspect is not overwhelming, so if you are like me and don’t usually read these types of books it shouldn’t interfere with your reading enjoyment. I totally understand where Serena’s idea of love and marriage comes from. Women have historically been the one to give up their career, life, and identity for marriage and children. There needs to be more Henry’s out there. There are no dramatic characters or love triangles but, there is a support character that somehow loses their clothes. This is a fun and interesting body switching romance from the viewpoint of Serena. The narrators were good, listened at 2.5 speed.

The narrators did a FANTASTIC job on this! I absolutely adored it. I think I liked this book a lot more because of listening to the audiobook while reading the book itself. I have zero complaints about the audiobook. It was so fun, so funny and the narrator Kelsey Navarro Foster just became one of my favourite audiobook narrators after just this one book. Absolutely loved her voice, the way she spoke and how she narrated the book.

I would HIGHLY recommend this.

Switched is a closed-door romance with a “freaky Friday” esque body-switching twist. This book follows the relationship between Henry and Serena, told in Serena’s POV. Serena is carefree, works in STEM, is extremely career-driven, loves Star Trek, and has no intention of committing to a relationship. Henry is more reserved but is a sweet family man who is ready to find the one. Serena and Henry meet in a bar and are instantly interested in each other. After a wonderful night together, Serena learns Henry is to be her new boss, freaks out, and then denies the night was anything more than fun.

A year or so later while they are both working, a storm rolls in, something strange happens in their lab, and they somehow switch bodies. Serena is now in Henry’s body and Henry is not in Serena’s body. The book does a great job detailing the challenges they face while being in each other’s bodies, while also exploring and re-evaluating their true feelings for each other. The family dynamics and emotions attached to their situation kept me reading.

The story is a fun and heartwarming read, that is packed with laugh-out-loud moments. There is witty banter, some 4th wall breakage (footnotes from Serena), and of course lots of physics references. The book also includes some deeper exploration of parent/child relationships. It would have been nice to have a dual POV to give readers more of Henry’s thoughts during the body switch.

Audiobook:
The audiobook was enjoyable. I especially enjoyed listening to the narrator for Serena (Kelsey Navarro Foster). She was very animated and entertaining. The male narrator for Henry (James Anderson), who comes in towards the end of the book, did a good job as well.
