This is a cosy read and fun. I had laugh out loud moments. I haven’t read book 1 so that’s confirmation you don’t need to.

Serena love all things physics, sci-fi and her adoptive cat Capetian Purk. In fact she loves her job in physics so much she will never let any man get close enough to ruin the love she has for her work.
Henry loves physics, family and the idea of love. His ultimate dream is to find someone to she everything he loves with.
They are complete opposites with one similarity of work.
One night meeting in a bar and a one night together where it was life altering for the both of them. Serena can’t have that not these feelings especially when she finds out that he has just moved here to be her boss. So she makes a decision to end anything before it has even had a chance to begin.
Fast forward time and they have one night at work where a freaky event happens and they switch bodies. Follow their journey on self discovery by pretending to be each other. While also trying to find a way to switch back.

Soooo good!!! Loved the plot, the characters, the story came to life!! Especially as an audiobook listener, I loved it!!

Sarah Ready is an auto-buy author for me. From the first book I read of hers, Josh and Gemma Make a Baby, I was hooked. I love her characters and her wit. I just know I will enjoy the experience when I pick up a book by Sarah Ready! This latest offering, Switched, is delightful science fiction Rom-Com where opposites attract in a very intense, immediate love-at-first-sight experience, then spend the next year and a half working together but keeping each other at arm's length, until they literally walk a mile in each other's shoes after swapping bodies! These things happen when you work with The Large Hadron Collider, the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator. They are forced to overcome the discomfort from their past and keep each other close as they navigate the impossible situation they find themselves in, all while attending a family wedding, rushing across the world for a family emergency and attempting to create the conditions to bring about a return to their own bodies. One of the things I liked most about these characters is the gender stereotypes that are turned on their heads with Serena and Henry. I love that when inside the other's body, they feel and experience the memories, tastes and preferences of the other. They truly get a deep and profound understanding of the other that leads to an abiding love and an enduring HEA! Thank you Sarah for another delightful story of 2 people becoming more completely themselves as they begin their journey together.

This is as sweet and refreshing as a tall glass of strawberry lemonade on a summer day. Romcom tropes include fake dating, he falls first, opposites attract, fourth wall breaking, and of course body swapping.

Serena only does one night stands for fear of losing herself in a man, but wouldn't you know it, she ends up in a CERN-induced Freaky Friday situation with a guy who read way too much into their meetcute. It gets a little more complicated when Serena and Henry have family things come up and they're suddenly forced to *truly* understand each other.

It was a little tricky keeping track of who was who when, and I really expected -- well, anyway, this "walk a mile in your shoes" romance was adorable, clever, and full of smiles. Too much tea, but a lot of refreshing banter.

Great audio , enjoyed the voices immensely, the story was nice and interesting. Definitely enjoyed. A mixed of freaky Friday and fun. Very nice second book. Can be read as a stand alone as well

This book was a mix of Freaky Friday and love at first sight romantic comedy. I was intrigued by the description and was eager to read!! I enjoyed the overall story and narration (I listened via audiobook) but there were a few things that I got stuck on. It honestly made it a little difficult to get through for me. It took me much longer than usual to listen to it all.
I really didn’t care for either of the main characters. I found them both to be a holes. lol ! The switch that happened crossed genders and accents so was a little hard to keep track of who was actually saying what considering they had to pretend to be the other….Also, early on the story went a little too deep into the science (the character’s job) of it all. I love a good character detail but….it went so deep I actually started tuning it out and had to stop and start listening another time. It took me a good 5 different sessions to finish, which is not the normal for me. 3 stars.

This book is part of the Ghosted series which I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing for NetGalley last fall. I loved that book and immediately knew I wanted this one so I could be immersed in the world again. This one follows Serena and Henry, two physicists and colleagues who find themselves in a bit of a Freaky Friday situation. They end up having to navigate some pretty serious and heavy situations stuck in each others bodies. The audio was great! Overall, the story was cute!!

As I have said before, I am trying to read as many Sarah Ready books as I can, since I have loved her, Josh and Gemma series. This did not work well for me with the first book in this series, Ghosted, but Switched was a little better. Thank you to NetGalley and W. W. Crown for this gifted copy in exchange for an honest.

Now, this plot has been done over and over again, and some could even say that it has been overdone. But, I enjoyed this one, not as much as I wanted to, but it was still a fun read. There were a few funny parts that made me chuckle, and overall a light, easy, read, or listen. I am probably going to torture myself with the third book when it comes out and I am hoping that it is even better than this one so that I can get back on the Sarah Ready train. I know she has some Josh and Gemma banter left in her.

Freaky meets Friday

Serena met Henry one day and he helped her solve a problem. They had a life changing night together and then parted ways. A year a a bit later he became her coworker. Serena was not into him being there

Then one night while working an electrical moment happened. When they woke the next morning they found that they had switch bodies. A wedding and a family emergency later. They leaned to appreciate each other and show some vulnerability and then there was love.

I listened to this book and would highly recommend this book. Serena leaning to have an English accent and Henry practicing his Californian slang was the very best moment

This was such a fun read for this romcom-loving girl who is also a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory and Star Trek! I felt all the feels and enjoyed the characters so much right out of the gate.

I tried to read the ebook and also tried to listen to the audiobook and DNF’ed both mediums.

For the audiobook, I found the narrator extremely annoying and could not tolerate her voice or intonation. It distracted me from the book which made me switch to the ebook.

I read about ~4 chapters of the book and stopped reading. I found the main character annoying and too “quirky”, the constant sex references were cringy and I couldn’t push through to get to the actual plot.

I originally chose the ARC because I was really intrigued by the plot! I think it could’ve been more interesting if it started immediately from the switch and then worked back to their meeting? Otherwise, I just wasn’t very invested.

This is the second book in the series after Ghosted, but could act as a standalone with the background Ready provides. This is my favorite Sarah Ready novel yet. She blends humor, physics, and witty banter in the perfect storm of a book. Serena is boisterous, and unabashedly herself.

Fearful of losing herself in a relationship and determined to be the next great name is physics, she meets a man named Henry, who stands to ruin her plans. Only to switch bodies with him.

As they try to reverse the magic or science responsible for swapping their souls, they learn more about each other and realize that love might be worth it after all. If you like Love Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood, you’ll like this open door romance novel.

This was super cute!! The narrator was really good and did a nice job with the FMC and the MMC. At first the instalove vibes were a little too instant for me, but then when it cooled down and went into the more enemies to lovers trope I was in! Overall I really enjoyed this one!

I really loved the story!! This was something new to me and the narration, omg the feel it gave to the story was fabulous!

I think my favourite character out of the two is Ducky. I love her humour and the way she cant keep herself away from relating everything to science. The writing style used is veryyy catch with all the graphs and images and footholds that kept popping around in the story.

The way i related to a lot of the quotes in this book had my heart! And didn’t I already talk about the narration!?? I loveddd the whole audio!

At one point in the end I really thought Henry.. but then the way she was revived 🥹🥹🫶🏻🫶🏻✨✨

I look forward to reading more from Sarah Ready and also listening to more of Kelsey Foster!!(i think she is by far my fav narrator)

Absolutely Recommend!!!

I just love Sarah Ready’s writing - I really don’t think she can put a foot wrong! Every time I read something new from her, I’m shocked that her books don’t get more attention on bookstagram, etc. This was an adorable and spicy read. Serena and Henry are strangers, but both feel that love at first sight sensation. They have an intense and amazing night together but Serena realises he’s about to be her new boss and panics - she wasn’t looking for love anyway so she breaks his heart. They work together for over a year as distant colleagues but she pines for him and is unable to move on. A freak incident results in them switching bodies (I know - mental, but it works!) and they are forced to spend all their time together and truly get to know each other.

It’s deliciously inevitable, and I loved reading their romantic tension. Both characters are so very likeable but Henry in particular is just too sweet. My heart hurt for him a fair few times. Their connection is so instant and tangible, yet it just gets better as the story goes on. It’s a funny narrative as well! I love that it’s kind of a sequel to Ghosted, as that was such a beautiful love story and those characters are briefly revisited! Can’t wait to read the next in the series. I love that these books require just the right amount of suspended disbelief.

My first book from Sarah Ready and I am hooked! I’ve always heard good things about her books and thought this was my ideal time to try. To start with I wasn’t sure how this book was going to go but I am so glad that I continued because it was brilliant!

4 stars as this was an audiobook and I felt the narrators voices didn’t suit the character which I found very off putting! Overall a fantastic read and quirky plot!

Your average Rom-com meets freaky Friday, this was such a unique take on a live story. I love how some of the stereotypical gender roles were reversed. This was an entertaining quick read, looking forward to the next Sarah Ready book. One minor note, I did not understand the noodle references at the end…?

I enjoyed this book a whole lot more than I thought I would. It was funny, and filled to the brim with great plot, and character growth.
You do not at all need to read the first book to enjoy this, its reads perfectly as a stand alone.

It’s been a while since I started a book I couldn’t finish, and I’m a little bummed I couldn’t finish this one. The main reason why I couldn’t get into this book was because of the female narrator. There were moments were the narrator’s tone and delivery were spot on, but the cringy and annoying way the narrator read the words turned me off rather quickly. There wasn’t a natural flow to her voice. She sounded like she was reading from a book and was awkward about it.

I haven’t read the physical book yet, so the story may be good, but I don’t know that solely based upon the narration.

Imagine Ghost and Freaky Friday had a baby. That's what this book is in the best way possible. At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book because the premise seemed a bit strange but as a surprise to no one Sarah Ready did it again! This book follows Serena and Henry who would make a perfect couple together on paper and share a great connection. Only problem is Serena loves physics so much she an't imagine trying to fit a man into her life. While working together a freak accident happens at work and they wake up in a really unfamiliar setting... in each others' bodies. How do they make it back to their own lives without losing themselves in each other.

I love the writing style and the likability of the characters despite the flaws that they posses. The characters are funny yet deep and this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. Their families are surroundings put them in crazy circumstances that they have a hard time navigating their way out of but the ride they take you on is worth it. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and I love a STEM loving woman being the main character.

This tells a beautiful story and I recommend it to anyone who loves a sci-fi twist on a romantic comedy. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.
