This is one of a series but can be read as a standalone. Francie is good at finding missing people. She isn't police or a private investigator, just good at looking. When Kaylee, aka the Beautiful Butcher, is weeks from execution and asks her to find her little sister and rescue her from Kaylee's ex Sanders McManus. Kaylee believes he is holding her against her will.
So Frankie finds herself as staff on a Hawaian island owned by McManus which is going to be a luxury resort. But thi gs are nowhere they seem.
Gripping, flowed well, relatable characters, well researched, plausible.
You'll never look at crabs in the same way again.
A gripping hard to put down read. A young woman who specialises in finding missing people. A tropical island. A serial killer. What more could you want. This is a claustrophobic thrill of a ride. It is graphic and cleverly twisted.
Lisa Gardner is a brilliant author who is not afraid to write outside the box. I certainly look forward to reading more and await her next one with baited breath
Another book in the Frankie ,who finds people, series. Complex mystery which twists and turns and will have you guessing . Had Frankie bitten off more than she can chew?
I love this series! This was another great installment in the Frankie Elkin series, and I also loved the fact that Wolfie the spider and flower-loving Crabby were based on real creatures!
"My name is Frankie Elkin. I go where I'm needed most, but I never stay. I'm an excellent listener, but a terrible sharer."
Frankie Elkin, a recovering alcoholic, is obsessed with finding missing people. When she is approached by the legal representative of the infamous Beautiful Butcher, her curiosity is piqued.
Keahi Pierson is on death row for dismembering eighteen men and feeding them to her pigs, but she wants to find her missing sister before she dies. She is convinced her sister is in grave danger and knows who has her.
This is how Frankie ends up on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific —an island owned by the prominent tech mogul Sanders MacManus.
Her job is to make contact with Lea and get news out to Keahi, but soon things spiral out of control. A dead body is found, and not everyone is who they seem to be. Who is responsible for the sabotage of the ongoing work on the island, and what are their underlying motivations?
"Still waters run homicidally deep."
A brilliant read that can be read as a standalone.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
EXCERPT: 'Victoria says you find missing people.' Beside me, Twanow nods. She has a legal pad out and looks like she is taking notes. Keahi continues, 'People no one else is looking for.'
'I specialise in working missing persons cold cases.'
'But you're not a private investigator?'
'No.'
'Are you a computer hacker, someone who can discover a speck of sand in the desert just by following its purchase patterns on the internet?'
'Don't even own a smart phone.'
Keahi frowns. 'Then what are you?'
'A person with a really obsessive hobby.'
Her frown deepens. 'Victoria says you've found everyone you've ever searched for. How?'
'I ask questions. Lots of questions. Sometimes it's as simple as people being willing to talk so many years later, sometimes it's that I'm not the police, making neighbors in certain communities more willing to disclose the truth.' I shrug. 'Once someone starts to talk, I make sure I listen. Not enough people do that any more.'
'How many cases have you solved?'
'Nearly twenty.'
'You brought people home to their families?'
'I brought closure to their families.'
Keahi's lips quirk. She isn't fooled by my answer. Neither am I.
ABOUT 'STILL SEE YOU EVERYWHERE': Frankie Elkin is an expert at finding the missing persons that the rest of the world has forgotten, but even she couldn’t have anticipated this latest request—to locate the long-lost sister of a female serial killer facing execution in three weeks’ time.
She has called herself "death," but people called her the devil.
The case was sensational. Kaylee Pierson had confessed from the very beginning, waived all appeals. Despite the media’s chronicling of her tragic circumstances—the childhood spent with a violent father—no one could find sympathy for “the Beautiful Butcher” who had led eighteen men home from bars before viciously slitting their throats.
Now, with only twenty-one days left to live, Pierson has finally received a lead on the whereabouts of the sister who was kidnapped over a decade ago, and she needs Frankie’s help to find her. The Beautiful Butcher’s offer:
When was the last time your search ended with finding the living?
Unable to resist the chance for a rescue, Frankie takes on Pierson’s request. Twelve years ago, five-year-old Leilani went missing in Hawaii. The main suspect? Pierson’s tech mogul ex-boyfriend, Sanders MacManus. Now, on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific—the site of MacManus’s latest vanity project—fresh evidence has appeared. In order to learn the truth and possibly save a young woman’s life, Frankie must go undercover at the isolated base camp. Her challenge: A dozen strangers. Countless dangerous secrets. Zero means of calling for help. And then the storm rolls in…
MY THOUGHTS: I think I may have gone off isolated tropical island resorts!
Although the action takes some time to get started in this, the third installment of the Frankie Elkin series, when it does kick off, it is relentless! Until then enjoy the various types of crab that abound, including the giant blue coconut crab, the holes in the sand that can easily snap an ankle, the spiders, the mosquitos, constant humidity, tropical downpours, and various other flora and fauna that are described so beautifully. There's no sunbathing on the beach or swimming in the lovely blue lagoons.
It's all work and no play that just might see Frankie Elkin live another day . . .
There are some wonderful characters - Anne and Trudy the cooks; Charlie, the Australian engineer; and Vaughn the head honcho are only a few of them.
I admit to having had to suspend belief in places, but Lisa Gardner writes with such fervor that I could see everything playing out in front of me as I read. There are a few gory scenes - but what else would you expect with an escaped serial killer called the Beautiful Butcher on the island?
If you are looking for an escapist, action packed read - pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.
Although this is the third book in a series, it is easily read alone as the author has provided enough backstory to make this feasible.
⭐⭐⭐⭐.3

I do usually like Lisa Gardner books but this wasn’t really for me. Perhaps I can’t ‘get’ Frankie Elkins as I’d followed her before and I don’t have a longing to follow her adventures. The story was a good one, gripping with lots of twists and turns but it was rather drawn out.
"This island isn't paradise. And at this point, I have no idea who to trust, let alone what to do next."
When the serial killer known as the Beautiful Butcher reaches out to Frankie Elkin, Frankie is intrigued. Kaylee Pierson is on death row – she has three weeks to live and she wants to find her younger sister, Lea, who went missing years before. Kaylee has received a letter, purportedly from Lea, indicating that she's in the clutches of Kaylee's abusive ex-boyfriend, the ultra-rich and powerful Sanders MacManus.
So, Frankie goes undercover at the Hawaiian island where MacManus is developing a luxury eco-resort. She gets a job at the rudimentary base camp where a small group of wanderers and stragglers are keeping things going while construction is set to get underway. But it's not long before Frankie realises the beautiful island is hostile: someone is sabotaging crucial infrastructure and a massive storm lashes the island.
And when MacManus arrives with Lea, chaos erupts.
This is a wild, fast-paced, action-packed thriller. You never know who to trust or what twist will come next, which makes it loads of fun.
I love the flawed, rough-around-the-edges Frankie as a main character. She's smart, wiley and doesn't take sh*t from anyone. I really hope we get more books featuring her.
I learnt a lot about the Hawaiian islands and some of their history in this book – the author visited one so it's a well-researched aspect of the story I want to go to an island now – despite the humidity and mosquitoes described in the book!
I have read many of Lisa Gardners' novels and always find them quite gripping.
In Still See You Everywhere the book follows missing persons specialist Frankie Elkin. I really enjoyed reading about Frankie, she is witty and I really warmed to her.
She is trying to find a woman named Lani, she is, of course, missing and Frankie sets out to find her. Lani is not just anyone though, she is the sister of a serial killer and they are going to be executed in a few weeks time.
A good novel, with plenty of twists and will keep you gripped.
Thanks to the author, netgalley and the publishers.
I really enjoyed this book and found it a good read. Frankie finds people and never stays in one place for long. She takes a job on a remote island to find the sister of a serial killer, awaiting death. All is not as it seems and things quickly progress. Lots of twists and turns keeping you in suspense.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.
Frankie is a finder of missing people. She lives completely off the grid and never settles any place for too long. When a lawyer summons her to speak to a notorious serial killer she goes along with it. The killer wants Frankie to find her long lost baby sister. And just like that Frankie is on her way to a remote Hawaiian island.
Oh my goodness and wow! The first chapter or two I wasn’t impressed, but then it was non-stop action. I can’t count the number of twists this tale had. So well written that I was truly invested in all the characters and couldn’t get through each page bc quick enough. Exciting and informative with detail that I didn’t need to know-looking at you coconut crabs and Wolfie. This is book 3 and it worked fine as a standalone novel. However I’m now desperate to read books 1 and 2. A sure fire hit that I highly recommend!
Man liest gebannt weiter.
Still See You Everywhere by Lisa Gardner
Lisa Gardner is the master storyteller of this genre .
In this series ( Frankie Elkin ) this is the third outing for the character , and what a character she is . Ex drinker , a bit of a loner , not particularly young or attractive , but this is what makes her interesting to read about.
This time she is tasked to find Lani , potentially Missing on an island close to Hawaii.
Her brother is a serial killer on death row and believes she is captive by her ex partner in the island.
As the previous ones , an excellent read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for my copy of Still See You Everywhere by Lisa Gardner.
I hadn’t read the first two books in the Frankie Elkin series but the book worked well as a standalone.
Frankie finds missing people or at last finds answers. She doesn’t take payment and she doesn’t work for any law enforcement agencies.
I guess you could say she likes puzzles and talking to people.
In this case she looking for a missing sister, the journey takes her to a remote island in Hawaii owned by a very wealthy powerful man.
Will she solve this case, or is this one a step too far.
Warning: do not start this unless you have time to finish it in one sitting. Brilliant non stop page turner.
This is the third book in the series but can easily be read as a stand alone.
Frankie is a recovering alcoholic and never stays in one place for long. But there's one thing that Frankie is good at and that's finding missing people, especially the ones the authorities have given up on.
When Frankie is contacted by the lawyer of the infamous female serial killer she's reluctant to take on the case.
But when Frankie heard the story of how five year old Leilani the sister of Kaylee the serial killer was kidnapped by a violent billionaire she decides to take on the job.
Unfortunately the job in question takes her to a remote Hawaiian atoll where the billionaire Sanders MacManus is building a eco-friendly resort.
Death and mayhem come to the island but can Frankie save the person she came looking for?
Frankie Elkin is tasked with looking for serial killer Kaylee's sister and is sent to a remote island in Hawaii to do so. I absolutely love Frankie and the other characters some I loved and others I loved to hate. There are quite a few different characters in this book but it was easy to keep up with them as they are introduced one at a time. The setting was beautiful and the vivid descriptions make you feel like you are there, I could feel the humidity burning my skin. I found the plot lusciously addictive and my heart was in my throat right until the final build up which left me breathless. The action got a bit blood thirsty but is not written with too much gore so I think it is fine for those who don't like to much blood. I could feel the adrenaline rush along with the characters. Frankie Elkin is one of my most favourite fictional characters! A tantalising read!
Wow! I'm a huge Lisa Gardner fan but I think the Frankie Elkin series is the best so far. I love the different settings that she's incorporating, having a nomad as the main character was a great choice as it opens up so many possibilities for stories and the atoll was a brilliant choice for this book. It's also great to have new characters in each story, she writes characters so well that even the side characters are really fleshed out and have their own place in the book. There is such a great blend of character story and also mystery with her books, it was one of those books that I didn't want to put down.
A fabulously written gripping story that was a pleasure to read. I would absolutely recommend this book, it was brilliant
This is the third book about Frankie, she doesn’t like to be in one place too long, so starts looking for missing people. Frankie is approaching by a serial killers lawyer to help find her missing sister. Kaylee left her sister in Hawaii after a physical fight with her then boyfriend Mac and wants to find her. Frankie takes the job on, but it’s not what she prepared herself for.
Loved the story, plot and location setting. It’s dark with a great twist in it. The descriptions of all the things on the island were incredible and I don’t think I want to meet a coconut crab anytime soon.
A brilliant suspense read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
From the first chapter this book reels you in! It gets slower while it sets the scene in the first half but is well worth sticking with. The twists are so complicated I didn’t know what we were getting hit with next! It was very cleverly written and kept me guessing until the last chapter.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review
