The 24th installment in the Women's Murder Club series. Having read all of the previous 23, I knew exactly what I would get this time round - quick short chapters that are easy to read, and great characters with fast paced action - and it didn't disappoint in those aspects.

Lindsay and Rich are investigating the murder of a wealthy sports star, six months after the identical murder of his wife. Can they solve the murder before it turns into a cold case?

Alongside that main story, we have two sub plots. Yuki is prosecuting what appears to be an open and shut rape case. Can she get the result she wants? Lindsay's husband Joe is called in by the FBI to help take down a team of hackers who have taken control of a hospital. Can he help find them before people begin to die?

I found the main story quite predictable this time round. One major clue was given to the team that seemed to be completely ignored, and I knew who had committed the murder from that - it seemed implausible that none of the detectives picked up on it!

Not my favourite in the series, but a good read nonetheless.

Another fantastic read from the master of thrillers - James Patterson.

Back with the Women’s Murder Club for another instalment this book I felt started off a little slow but soon picked up pace and after lots of twists and turns and excitement reached its conclusion.

Lindsay, Richie and Sonja are on the team investigating the murder of a former Olympic gymnast who was gunned down when her husband is also gunned down in exactly the same way.

Meanwhile Yuki is the prosecutor in a rape case where her client has dissociative identity disorder and Joe has been called in to assist the FBI in tracking down cyber criminals threatening a major hospital.

All in all a good read. The only thing I didn’t really like was the two other sub-plots going on at the same time - maybe this was just to keep other characters relevant but while they were kind of interesting in their own way it didn’t really add anything to the book I don’t think.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

The juggernaut that is James Patterson rolls on with the latest instalment in the wildly popular Women's Murder Club Series. One of the pleasures of the series is catching up with the lives of Lyndsey, Yukio and Claire. Over the series Patterson and his co-authors (here assisted by Maxine Paetro who has been with the series now for 20 volumes) have fleshed these characters out so that the reader cares.

A high profile murder is the backbone of this novel, and through the short chapters and frantic pace, the reader is pulled along. This was another fun, thrilling ride, and fans of Patterson will love this one.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Thanks to Penguin Random House and Netgalley for the ARC of this book.
James Patterson never fails to entertain us with his stories and “The Ladies Murder Club” always has good twists. How he manages to come up with the different stories weaving through each other all the time is fantastic. My only disappointment was settling down under the covers this morning thinking I’d got a nice bit to still read at 87% only to find that the actual book finished a few pages later!!
Looking forward to the next one very soon.

This is a classic women’s murder club by James Patterson. It’s an easy, entertaining read that keeps you guessing whilst also following the personal lives of the main protagonists. If you are looking for a crime book that is easy to get absorbed in, this is for you.

This was my first Women’s Murder Club.
You switch between the court case of a victim of assault with Assistant DA Yuki Castellano. Sergeant Lindsay Boxer deals with a high society serial killer.
This is a police procedural driven story taking you through all the steps like a good tv series.
The women are front and centre in these cases with their family lives very much involved.
It was an easy read getting to know the characters very quickly.
The strong story makes you check out other books in the series.
Thank you NetGalley and (publisher) for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

I have read most of the Women's Murder Club series and this one, like the others is a page turner. The plot line follows a familiar pattern so you have a good idea of what you are going to get.

Let's be honest, you know by now what you are going to get from a Patterson book and you are either a fan or not. I for one am a huge fan and I looked forward to this latest instalment in the Women's Murder Club.
As with any series, it is such a pleasure getting to catch up with old characters and following the new developments in their life. There are some big changes for the characters in this book and I enjoyed reading about them.
Then we have the investigative threads of which there are many. If I am being honest I actually think there was one plot thread too many in this and it detracted from the enjoyment of the overall plot. This aside, I liked the high intensity, adrenaline fuelled plot and I was gripped by the action.
'The 24th Hour' is another great instalment to this excellent series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House UK for an advance copy.

The Women's Murder Club convene again, and they do not disappoint, as always a dramatic start as the ladies are out celebrating Claire's birthday and are interrupted by a loud scream, and so it begins. They are off on another rollercoaster case. All of the characters now fit so well together they almost feel like family, such an enjoyable read, so entertaining . If you have not read any of these before ....give them a go!!

As along time reader and lover of James Patterson books this was another great installment in the women's murder club series.

Featuring everyone's favourite characters it follows Lyndsey as she is trying to solve a murder, Yuki prosecuting a hard to win crime and Joe trying out a new role.

Whilst this story wasn't as fast paced for me as others in the series it's still a decent read if you already know and love the characters. I always find James Patterson books to be easy reading, fast paced and full of great crime work.

I genuinely don't know how James Patterson writes so many quality books so quickly.

The Women’s Murder Club #24

The murder club members, Sergeant Lindsay Boxer of the SFPD, Claire Washburn at the coroners office,Yuki Castellano, an Assistant DA are celebrating Claire’s birthday at a prestigious San Francisco restaurant, when a loud scream from above interrupts one of the courses. Lindsay races upstairs to find a virtually naked woman, just about alive. She then realises the perpetrator is probably still there and duly arrests him. However, Tyler Cates insists that the victim, Mary Elena Hayes, has set him up. The story gets stranger and stranger as time goes on, who is telling the truth? It certainly seems as if wherever they go trouble seems to follow these friends, they aren’t called the Murder Club for nothing. However, this case may be one of their toughest and most shocking yet, and of course for Lindsay, it’s never a simple as just one case.

This is another enjoyable, quick read in the entertaining series which I’ve dipped in and out of if the thought of 24 is daunting! The characters in this are really good, they’re comfortable together as the dialogue shows, there’s trust, and they compliment each other in terms of personality and skills. You get a good insight into what makes them tick and there’s just enough of their personal life to see another side of them..

The case of Mary Elena Hayes is an interesting one which types a dive into psychology and the case goes to trial with some intriguing courtroom scenes. There’s never a dull moment as not only do you get this case, but there is a murder investigation of a husband and wife, though several months apart and a cyber terrorism threat. The storytelling switches seamlessly between the cases and the murders in particular reveal some complex relationships which muddy the waters. It’s fast paced with the trademark short, sharp chapters and snappy sentences, there’s plenty of action, multiple twists, lots of puzzling questions and for a long time few answers. Some resolutions are perhaps a bit abrupt, but they do fit and one is quite dramatic. There’s a happy ending too, which is very satisfying.

Overall, this is a fun read.

With thanks to NetGalley and especially to Random House U.K., Cornerstone for the much appreciated arc in return for an honest review.

Life is moving forward for the women's murder club. A stalled high profile murder case is causing issues. Then a second murder compounds the issues. Motive unclear, suspect unknown can it be solved or will there be another murder? Follow the latest thrilling installment of the women's murder club. As enjoyable as always.

Once again James Patterson pulls it out the bag and delivers another fantastic book. Following the women’s murder club consisting of Lindsey, Suki, Claire and Cindy this is another page turner. If like me you’ve read every book in this series you won’t be disappointed or if you are reading this series for the first time you’ll love it! Recommend with a capital R! Thank you for the advanced copy to read, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Book 24... how did we get here! I've followed this series from the very beginning, it's so much more than a plot twist or another murder. It's like seeing your friend after a month apart and filling in the blank spots. I absolutely love catching up with the characters it's getting to the point I'm beginning to feel like I know them personally.

Another great story that lured me in until I'd got to the very last page.

Thank you Netgalley for the digital proof copy.

Sergeant Lindsay Boxer SFPD,is meeting with her friends in the Women's Murder club at the hottest restaurant in San Francisco to celebrate their friend Claire's birthday.

There is a scream from the staff area upstairs which reveals a young woman who has been has sexually assaulted. The complication when it comes to trial is her Multiple Personality Disorder
Did her assailant know?

Boxer is also investigating the murders of billionaire Jamie Fricke and his wife Holly in identical killings several weeks apart.

I like this series which has short and snappy chapters in inimitable Patterson style.

I would recommend that people read the earlier books in the series first for context bit it's not entirely necessary

I would like to thank Netgalley and Penguin Random House Publishing for the chance to read and review this book.

I can't speak too highly of this novel, it drew me in immediately so I had to read it until I had finished it, the characters were well drawn and I would give it more than five stars if I was able. Highly recommended.

Book 24 in The Women's Murder Club series.
This is a series of books I've followed from the very first book. It's not just about the storylines now when you are so many books in a series. It's the characters that you've come to know. That have grown with you. The characters and their lives are as much the series as the story lines are.
Read in a day, the usual short chapters help you keep reading, 'just one more chapter becomes two and then three'. Before you know it you are nearing the end and don't want to book to finish.

The Women’s Murder Club is out celebrating an engagement at San Francisco’s finest restaurant when a blood-curdling scream interrupts the festivities.

They soon discover a young woman who has been the victim of a violent assault. Sergeant Lindsay Boxer makes an arrest. Assistant District Attorney Yuki Castellano takes the case.

But assigning blame is made impossible due to the victim’s chaotic version of events – and the shocking reason behind her ever-changing memory.

This book was written brilliantly, as always dragged in to those pages from very early on and kept me invested right to the very end.

This author can do no wrong in my eyes and I’m a massive fan! WOW! If this isn't a book to brag about I don't know what is... I started it late last night. Never did I anticipate I would be closing the book at 3am left in complete shock... This book was insane! It was twisted, it was gripping but it was so darn good!
