At this point, it's safe to say that most of us know that Big Tech's first goal isn't to build a better world. Rob Lalka proves it may be worse than we even suspect with searing takedowns of Peter Thiel, Travis Kalanick, and J.D. Vance. In the second part of the book, Lalka ties the agendas of the venture alchemists to their political outcomes and explores Vance and Thiel's relationships with the Trump presidency. The book asks serious questions of how we want business and politics to intersect as well as what role the government should play in regulating the technology that is enmeshed in every aspect of our lives.
