A fun and entertaining middle-grade/young adult novel that seamlessly blends technology, empathy, and courage. The story follows a diverse group of children using AI to address various challenges in their town, from nurturing plants to combating bullying. As the young heroes navigate their journey, the narrative skillfully explores the potential of technology when coupled with empathy. The central question of whether they can save their local shelter adds a layer of suspense and urgency. What I enjoyed most about this book is its ability to introduce complex concepts like AI and quantum computing in an accessible and engaging way. The characters' resilience, teamwork, and belief in the power of AI for the greater good make Quantum Kids a wonderful read.

This is a mix of an AI fictional story and an activity book to explain and give experience of the fundamentals of AI. The book is suitable for older children, teenagers, parents and teachers. The story part suffers a little as chapters are linked to different concepts in AI. But the explanations and activities add exciting reader participation. The activities are well explained and any needed items should be easily found in the home or school. Thank you to BuzzBooks.net, How Mighty We and NetGalley for the ARC.
