This was a great thriller with twists and turns after the main characters mother was killed by her boyfriend. You cannot trust anyone. And no one should be deemed safe.

This was a great book. I loved every paragraph, every sentence and every word of this masterpiece! I read it in 12 hours, which is a lot for me to do! It had everything and more laid out in the novel! I sure hope There is more to come from this author! I am totally hooked!

While I enjoyed the book, it didn't grab me completely and I ended up figuring out what happened at the end. I enjoyed the book, but it didn't have the WOW factor to me. I would still recommend it to others to read.

This was a good read, while it lacked my normal wow factors I still enjoyed it. The plot was steady and flowing, I guessed very early on the outcome. Overall a good thriller.

I enjoyed this book and thought it was a thrilling read! I thought that it kept me on the edge of my seat and was a book i could read again! I would recommend!

I'm a big fan of #KelleyArmstrong, especially her Rockton/Haven's Rock contemporary mystery series and her Rip Through Time time-travel mystery series. Her latest, published as K.L. Armstrong, is this standalone thriller featuring true crime podcast host and PhD student Amy Gibson. Inspired by her mother's death (she was killed by her boyfriend), Amy focuses her scholarship and podcast on crimes against women committed by their partners. Amy is a dynamic character and I really enjoyed this twisty ride. The last part felt slightly rushed to me, but I'll take too much plot in a thriller over too little. I most appreciated that while there is an educational piece to this book, sharing lot of facts, data, and (fictional) stories about partner violence, it's also a compelling mystery. Armstrong is one of the best at entertaining, but I appreciated learning so much too.

I've loved this authors paranormal stories in the past so thought I'd give her thriller a try. I wasn't disappointed. While the AHA moments, the twists that usually gives thrillers their sparkle weren't gasp worthy, some still surprised me. Others were less surprising and the outcome of the story, obvious at an early stage for me. I would absolutely read more in this genre from this author in the future.

This was one of my favorite thrillers of the year. I really like the way that Armstrong writes and how the mystery unfolds. The characters are great and the plot kept me on my toes.

cool! cool! read this one it's definitely not groundbreaking but it does goodwork within the context of a thriller

Thank you for the opportunity to preview Known to the Victim.
A young woman, Amy,is a podcaster. She is very good at discussing victims who are under control. Those gaslit, those who have been abused and controlled. That’s her audience. But soon Amy begins to have to look in the mirror because she is confronted by a woman who tells her the family secrets and that’ she is a hypocrite. Why because Amy’s brother is now accused of exactly what she talks about in her podcast. But is Amy blind or is she now a victim or is is just all coincidence.
Soon Amy will have no alternative but to face herself and those around her and a past she has desperately tried to avoid for many years. And now she’s going to have to face herself for once and for all.
Good read. Lots of dialogue which is not my favorite part of the plot.
3.4 stars

I love novels by KL Armstrong and this one was no different, An addictive and enjoyable read right through to the end.

Many thanks to Netgalley for this book. I received this book in exchange for my honest review. My thoughts are entirely my own.
We are following Amy Gibson who has started a podcast called Known to the Victim after she lost her mother her second year of college. Amy is studying for her doctorate and one day when she is giving a talk at a library a women starts talking about her brother and how is a manipulator and gaslights women and her killed his wife by drowning her and had an ex in college that committed suicide. Then Amy finds out that her brother was questioned by the police because they had new evidence that someone anonymously sent. Amy starts to look into things when her brother’s girlfriend is shot and she named him as the shooter until she remembers that the person that shot her was wearing a mask. She befriends Dean an investigator that works with her friend that she normally gets to do investigative work for her. Amy gets kidnapped by Laura, her brothers ex-wife who found out that Amy and her brother are not actually related and wants money to keep quiet. Then Amy is drugged and someone kills Laura and she is arrested until they corroborate her story. Dean helps Amy figure out if Laura was telling the truth. Amy also finds out that her brother is a trustee for her trust fund and has been manipulating things and gaslights her. Then when Amy goes to Dean’s apartment her brother draws her out by pretending to be his girlfriend that was shot and she confronts him and he admits to killing Laura and doing all sorts of things and is arrested. Amy and Dean do go on a date in the epilogue of the book. This book was very interesting and I didn’t know what to believe and what was real and what was fake. I am definitely glad that I read this book.

Such a great book! The story was fast-paced, there were a lot of unexpected twists, and it was hard to know who to trust - all things I love in a book. I also really, really appreciated how "fun" facts about domestic abuse were added in, helping the readers to know what kinds of red flags to look for in real life. Some of the events may have been a little far-fetched, but it was a fun read that I highly recommend.

I received your complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are mine.
The book follows Amy whose life is a never ending heartache -her mother is murdered by her boyfriend and grief knows no bounds but she is saved but Oliver her half brother. But the chain of bad events follow her when her brother is accused of a crime . How far does one go to clear their loved ones.intriguing ,fast-paced and surprising.

Great story with a thrilling pay off. I was drawn in immediately and excited to see what happened. The characters were well written and engaging. This is an author who can write in multiple genres and is good at all of them.
