I picked up this book because of curiosity and because the cover is so colourful, and I am genuinely interested in the topic. Honestly, this book does not disappoint, and I think it will serve a great amount of information for children to discover and feel wow.

The explanations are informative and light, and it was a fun read with facts and examples. This book also introduces and explains various experts who benefit from AI tools and types of rare occupations, making it an interesting topic for children to explore new and endless possibilities of job preference.

Speaking of the title, this book assures how AI works and how it will help humans perform better daily. The core understanding of this book is that AI serves as a tool, and it will never really replace the essence of being human. A great and fun read, I enjoy every page and learn a bunch of new perspectives. Recommend!

Although pretty much everyone is talking about AI, most of us don’t actually know what it is. Brain David Johnson (BDJ to his friends) is a futurist and helps governments, businesses and a whole host of others to understand the different possibilities of what the future may look like. He tries to foresee the ‘could’, the ‘might’ and the ‘probable’ to help us to prepare for these outcomes. We would like to take a moment here to reflect on our career choices because we are pretty sure this is the coolest job in the world!

At its core, AI is quite simply a new form of computer software.

Split into sections, BDJ gives insight and information on all of the ways that AI is used and could be used with some history, science and a whole host of other subjects thrown in for good measure. He writes it in such a fun and engaging manner that we can guarantee you won’t be able to put this highly educational non-fiction book down. Our Book Clubbers couldn’t!
We learnt about the history of computers and the internet and how AI can process massive amounts of information in the blink of an eye making big tasks more manageable. There was some mind blowing information about the use of AI in palaeontology and sports training and scouting. AI can be used to anticipate health issues in humans and animals to allow better care and preventative interventions. Plus a whole host of other amazing utilisations.
In short, this book gives a balanced view of how AI can help in so many way and puts into context how any technology can be used for either good or bad, it all depends on the person using it. BDJ signs off with two important messages for our readers age 8+, “ Remember to do good” and “Build the future that you want”. Excellent advice from a man who has a crystal ball!

I have been using AI art creation platform in my English courses for months now and am a huge believer in the endless educational possibilities offered by AI, VR and AR. I found this book very interesting. It will give students a good idea about the background of AI development.

I thought this was a really interesting kid friendly guide to AI. Since it is becoming so mainstream these days and even our young minds are curious about it this is a great guide to introduce exactly what AI is, it’s benefits and non benefit and a little bit how it works.
