This is one of a few "marriage in trouble" romances I’ve read and I’ve come to really enjoy them.
This book is quite different to books I usually read and it showed a different, more realistic side to marriage and the struggles a couple faces as they grow older and expand their family.
I really loved this book and I really loved Jack and Lauren. They still love each other, but life got in the way and they drifted apart. I loved seeing them fall in love again and fighting hard to be with the one they love.
This was a beautifully written, heartwarming, captivating emotional story and I loved watching Jack and Lauren come together again to find their way forward.
Amy Hall and Ryan Duncan were phenomenal in narrating these characters.
I love anything Adriana Locke writes. I could relate so much to this story. A story of a marriage in trouble and understanding that the problems aren't always one-sided. Both parties need to come together and learn from their mistakes. I loved it. Preformed by Amy Hall and Brian Duncan. They did a wonderful job.
This is a story about a married couple Lauren and Jack, headed to divorce unbeknownst to Jack. Lauren has called off the family summer vacation and has called a divorce attorney because she can no longer stand being neglected by Jack. Their two teenage kids, Maddie and Michael, and Jack's dad, Harvey, tell some white lies to get Jack and Lauren up to their cabin anyway to stay for their two week vacation. When Michael spills the beans that Lauren is thinking of divorce to Jack, Jack does everything he can to win Lauren back. There is one bed, blue collar, small town, lake and the outdoors, and a marriage that has a second chance. And a cute little puppy named Snaps!
Well Ms. Adriana Locke has done it again. This story had me hooked at the dedication of the book to Adriana's own father, I had tears running down my face thinking of my own father that I lost 4 months ago. This book had laughs, it had angst, it had love and family, everything you have known to love about an Adriana Locke book. You can't beat forgiveness and coming back together again. I have never been married or divorced and don't have children but I still loved this book. So take a chance, you won't be disappointed with this beautiful story.
This is a novel for all the SAHM’s. This novel is for anyone who feels like a “Married Single Mom” that does everything for everyone with no help from their spouse. This novel is for any mom in the trenches of being a mom, a cook, a chauffeur, a secretary, a maid, etc.
Adriana Locke sees you and wrote the best novel that encapsulates all your feelings, resentments, and struggles. But also demonstrates a female main character that realizes that she made mistakes too. This novel showcases motherhood in the teenage years and the preparation a marriage needs for “empty nesting”.
The romance storyline is 5/5. The spice is perfect. The characters development is amazing. This couple on the verge of divorce gets parent trapped and it’s just perfect.
I devoured this audiobook in less than 24 hours with dual narration. It was well done and can’t wait for others to read “Nothing But It All”
📚Nothing But It All by Adriana Locke is now live!
If you've been married for any amount of time, you'll appreciate this book - but especially if you've been married for awhile and have experienced the inevitable ups and downs of marriage. I resonated so much with the heart of this book, after being married for 20 years, and going through some serious trials. This book touched my heart from page one.
Blurb:
After twenty years, the cracks in Lauren Reed’s marriage are showing. She and her husband, Jack, feel more like roommates than a loving couple. What they have in
common are two wonderful teenagers, Michael and Maddie, and the same wistful question: When did it all go wrong? Now that Lauren’s decided to get on with her
life—alone—divorce is inevitable.
Not to the kids. They aren’t giving up so easily. Michael and Maddie have conspired with their grandfather to bring everyone together for a vacation in the family’s favorite summer getaway, a rustic lakeside cabin in Story
Brook, Ohio. This trip is going to be life-changing for the whole family. Fourteen days of hope,
heartbreak, and unexpected possibilities—like maybe falling in love all over again
I have already read this book but an opportunity came up to review this audio book and i couldn't pass it up since I had enjoyed the story.
The story is about a married couple with 2 kids but its a second chance trope.
Jack and Lauren have been married for 20 years and have 2 teenagers. Lauren isn’t really feeling the marriage anymore and is thinking of divorce. Jack works a lot and this is a big part of the problem for Lauren. Jack finally wakes and realizes whats happening. He wants to save his marriage. The kids, Michael and Maddie, along with their grandfather are in the thick of it trying to "help". I enjoyed the story as I stated earlier.
Both narrators were new for me.
The narration of Lauren I felt was well done. I thought she communicated her emotions well throughout the book. Jacks narrator sometimes felt a bit flat which was a bit disappointing but overall he did ok.
This book is my second "marriage in trouble" love story, and I never thought that this would be a trope that I could really enjoy it, but look at me now... I'm hooked!
There's something about a story that starts by showing you the true colors of what really happens in a relationship after the normal book epilogue... The struggles of the day to day routine, the chores, the family responsibilities that usually falls into the stay at home mom/wife, while the husband thinks that he does enough by putting food on the table and pay the mortgage, while also being absent from home.
It's not something bad, when you see that the deep love that led them to built a family together is still there, just clouded by all the things that they're wrongly prioritizing.
It's even better when they start to put on the effort to make it work again!
Jack did great by putting his priorities in order, and getting his family back together.
He was a great dad since the beginning, and he saw that he would lose his family, if things hadn't changed.
I loved how is both of them worked not only their grudges against each other, but also the mistakes that they made along the way.
It's a quick summer trip for their family, but that helped them to put everything into perspective, and I adore how fiercely they fought for their HEA.
The audiobook version made it even easier to fall in love with the Reed's family!
Wow! I loved it! This is one of my favorite books written by Adriana Locke. Lauren and Jack's story is beautifully written, and engaging. The side characters are amazing. I loved their teenagers, Michael and Maddie, and their grandfather. The family ties are so heartwarming. This is a beautiful story. Amy Hall and Ryan Duncan did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it.
Nothing But it all is a second chance romance, about a marriage that is falling apart. This is an emotional roller coaster ride of ups and downs for Lauren and Jack. I felt every moment of their journey back to each other. You could feel the connection and their love coming off the pages. This is a well written story that has you remembering what really matters in your own marriage.
Amy Hall and Ryan Duncan did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.
Nothing But It All was SO REAL! I myself have been married almost 25 years and have found that marriage is truly a journey. Kids, job pressures, elderly parents- I could relate to everything in this book. Jack and Lauren's story was so realistic and relatable. I felt it all- I was broken for them at the beginning of the book, and cheered for them as they worked through their issues. Narrators Amy Hall and Ryan Duncan were new to me, but their performances were nothing short of fantastic.
Mature couple Marriage in trouble Second chance Audio review Narrated by: Amy Hall; Ryan Duncan Lauren and Jack give us life after the romance and when life happens. They were college sweetheart and have been married for 20 years with two teens. They were so in love, but sometime over the years they lost each other. This is about them finding their way back to their love. Jack is a workaholic. He built his business and spent most of his spare time there. In an effort to take care of his family and have Lauren be a stay at home mom, he put everything into the business. He forgot to balance work and family. Lauren appreciated being able to stay home and raise the kids. She forgot to take the time to be more than a mom and wife. Now that the kids are older, she has time to explore her needs and realized, she wasn’t happy. Well written, realistic view. Both characters contributed to the problems in the marriage. I love that we could see the good and bad from both points of view. Jack was pretty clueless and had to do some could searching and groveling but he knew it was worth it. While Lauren wanted to lay the blame on Jack, she owned up to her part too. A conniving family, a beautiful mountain cabin and plenty of chemistry help these two find their way back to each other. Plenty of emotion, laughs and a great epilogue. The narrators did a good job expressing the emotional ups and down with the characters.
Audiobook Review
This book should be read by everyone. Marriages break for so many reasons. Reasons that could be prevented if we just stopped and listened, and talked, and just stopped. Jack and Lauren’s life became just an existence because us as humans become complacent without even realising. This book will show how bad things can get but also will help how to get things better even if it’s just hope.
Thank you Adriana Locke for writing it, and thank you Amy Hall and Ryan Duncan for bringing the characters to life.
Lauren & Jack
The book starts in the middle of their marriage with 2 teenage kids. They have troubles and problems and that's what I love about this story, because not everything is pretty and easygoing.
Both conquer their troubles (with help of their children and father[in law]) and grow stronger together than ever.
A book definitely worth listening/reading.

This was my first book by Adriana Locke and the first marriage in trouble book that I’ve ever read. I found the book to be both beautiful and heartbreaking. The storyline was very relatable and you could feel that there was still a lot of love between Lauren & Jack! I loved Nothing But It All so much!!
I don’t think anyone does second chance romance better than Adriana Locke. Nothing But It All is an emotionally gripping story that will make you laugh, cry, and swoon. The story centers around Jack and Lauren, a married couple that's been together for over 20 years. When the book begins, their marriage is failing, and it seems they've both become rather apathetic to one another. They can't even manage to go on their annual family trip to their cottage with their kids, Michael and Maddie, and Jack's father, Harvey. One thing leads to another, though, and thanks to a bit of strategic planning by their kids and Harvey, the whole brood winds up at the cottage anyway. Will Jack and Lauren be able to find their way to each other again, or is their marriage doomed?
I'm beyond in love with this book. It's emotional and well written and there's nothing I'd want different about it. Literally from the plotline to the characters to the pacing, it all works. I love that it's about a couple that's been together for a long time. I love that there's no horrible, devious something that happens. I love that there's something so normal about this story. It's so real, and it's that realness that creates a narrative that's believable and feels authentic to what actual marriage is like. Jack and Lauren lost their way. They forgot to really be there for each other and be one other's friend, and that's caused a serious, nearly impossible to get over rift. The road back to each other is hard, and Locke does an amazing job at navigating their conflict and resolution.
And the characters are absolutely genuine. Jack is the husband that's a bit out of touch and thinks things are mostly fine in his marriage...unless you're counting that he and Lauren are barely even talking anymore. Then there's Lauren who's like many women and has put her family first for so long that she lost herself but is now working on getting herself back. They might be at quite the impasse when the story begins, but there's still love under there somewhere and a whole lot of chemistry between them.
Plus, I've never loved a trio of meddling characters as much as I did Michael, Maddie, and Harvey. Even Snaps, the dog Jack "rescued," helps Jack and Lauren along in his own way. We get some Parent Trap vibes in this book, and these secondary characters not only propel the storyline but also contribute humor to it. The kids are cute and lovable without being saccharine, and Harvey's got a charming feistiness to him. They're great additions to the story and absolutely necessary without taking away from Jack and Lauren.
Also, I had the opportunity to listen to this book, and Ryan Duncan as Jack and Amy Hall as Lauren really brought it to life. Their voices matched the characters perfectly, and the dual narration worked great to show Jack and Lauren's perspectives separately. Listening to the book provided a sort of immersive quality, and once I started the audio book I didn't want to stop. I got completely lost in this book, and I'd recommend listening to it as much as I would reading it.
Nothing But It All is a moving tale of what happens when two people that love each other let life and themselves get in the way of being happy together. It traverses love on all the levels and is a definite must read/listen. It's a beautifully done contemporary romance, and you're not going to want to put it down.
This was an emotional story and hit me in all of the feels. I was able to relate to a lot of what Lauren was feeling and going through. It was refreshing to see that Jack was so willing to work on things to make sure he didn’t lose his wife.
I listened to the audio version of this book, narrated by Amy Hall and Ryan Duncan. This was my first time listening to both of these narrators. There were times I wish they’d had a little more emotion in their voice and performance as opposed to just sounding like they were reading, but overall I still enjoyed the audio.
I really enjoyed listening to this book. Lauren and Jake were very real in the struggles that find their way into a marriage after 20 years. I loved how the kids and their grandpa conspired to get them back together, and I loved the outcome even more. There was happiness, there were tears, there was realization and redemption. The narrators were great. This is definitely worth the listen/read!

“The only performance that matters is the one you do for your family”
“It the small stuff that makes or breaks the marriage”
Nothing But It All, was a book that took me by surprise. I was sure it would get my emotions some but I never expected this story to feel so relatable. It’s beautifully written, great cast of characters, and just a heartwarming story full of hope and love. Jack and Lauren give glimpses of how their crazy love and devotion for one another fizzled and although they did love one another being content and making time or showing the other they are important can build a wedge between the couple. The struggles of balancing a spouse, kids, work, and everyday life build up and before you know it, you are living more like roommates.
The teenage kids were great and they experienced some real life as well, like first broken heart for Maddy. I adored Grandpa Henry and his shenanigans with the kids. I was cheering for Jack and Lauren to find their love once again and the ending melted my heart.
Narrated by Amy Hall and new to me narrator, Ryan Duncan. They both did a great job bringing the story to life and I could feel the range of emotions as I listened. They sounded great together and I hope to find more listens with them soon.
Audio/Kindle Review -
Adriana has the innate ability to write stories that will have you laughing and swooning, and then switch things up and write stories full of so much emotion you'll be teary eyed multiple times throughout. This story was definitely one of those.
Nothing but it All brings us real life AFTER the epilogue. After the first happily ever after. After real life steps in and knocks you on your tush. There are arguments, loss, massive life shifts, successes, failures, inadvertent neglect, and so much more.
Jack and Lauren are on the brink of divorce, so close to just throwing in the towel. But life, and 2 meddling kids and a grumpy grandfather decide to take matters into their own hands and hopefully get these two to see all of the amazing things between them!
I adored this book from start to finish. It caused me to take a step back and understand that life isn't perfect, it never will be. And that's OKAY. Who do you want by your side during the toughest moments? During the best? When you realize who that is, it's truly a moment you'll want to hold on to forever. Definitely a 5⭐ read for this year.
Performance:
Amy Hall and Ryan Duncan do a great job narrating this story. It calls for a range of emotion especially on Amy Hall’s part which I felt like she tackled successfully. She is very performative, which helps get across the depth of emotions that her character Lauren goes through. Ryan Duncan is a bit more subtle and I enjoyed his cadence and voice. I also think they both did well switching between a number of secondary but very active characters in this story.
Story:
I found this story to be raw and heart wrenching especially with the addition of the true family dynamic that comes along with a marriage in trouble. There are just enough bright spots throughout the story to keep it from being too weighed down by the very sad topic or trope at its center. I think my favorite thing about the story was that Lauren (the wife) and Jack (the husband) take responsibility for their actions, both booth good and bad, and show real growth which leads to their HEA. There is a bit of the blame game going around but there is also recognition of the positive things each brought to the marriage. I enjoyed the grandfather and the teens part as well. I found them to be likable but not perfect in a way that felt genuine. This is one of my favorite marriage in trouble reads because while it has to go down the path of some bitterness and anger it never feels hateful or overdone. I also enjoyed the pace of the story and while there are expected setbacks it and the couple keep moving forward without too much dramatic wishy-washy back and forth.
