I want to start off by saying, thank you Catherine for the ARC. Unfortunately, this book just wasn’t for me. I DNF at about 20% and just couldn’t get into it. I also was unaware it was the second book in a series, that could also impact my thought. I just did not enjoy it.

I loved
This, it was funny, sweat, cute, super romantic. Like a gorgeous Netflix romance. Cam was a troubled veteran and had been struggling to fit in back to civvy life after 10 years of service. Ava came from a super competitive family and becomes Ill. Her illness makes her evaluate her life. Ava has always had a crush on Cam but his PTSD pushes people away even though he is attracted to her too.

final thoughts: once again there was so much about this book that was promising and ultimately it wasn’t for me and it all comes down to the MMC. AGAIN, we have the MMC calling another woman gorgeous, beautiful, pretty, “the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen in my life” and telling that to the FMC!!! I was honestly so turned off by him and his relationship with this woman that’s he’s so disgustingly infatuated with. I cannot and will never understand the obsession with the best friend. This had so much promise since I love a giant, silent, handyman mountain man who is ex-army, but I really couldn’t get over the friendship between him and his friend’s mother and he didn’t do nearly enough groveling when he kept messing up.
I like this writer’s style of writing but ultimately, I don’t like the MMCs who aren’t entirely dedicated to their chosen women after they get together. Everything moved way too fast (their relationship, his “recovery”, the relationships with additional characters) and felt too forced but has good bones for a good story.
I continued this series for Cam and Chiara and stayed for Chiara and Ava. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked Ava, but she needed to demand more groveling and she deserved better from everyone in this book.

This was so fun and such a whirlwind! Okay, to be honest this is absolutely insta-love but it works for me?? I will not be taking questions. I know that's a problematic trope for some but I just loved that this jumped into the action and the caretaking right away.

Ava collapses at her brother's wedding after having secret health issues for a couple of months prior. Cam who she had previously asked out on a date and was rejected is her unlikely hero and she basically moves into his house immediately while Ava's family doctor tries to figure out a diagnosis. This has meddling friends and family that essentially Ava is trying to escape from to prevent everyone worrying over her, her worst nightmare. Her and Cam both have pasts that they tenderly divulge to each other over the course of tests Ava undergoes only within a few days.

This has open door spice that was super fun interspersed between communication and then miscommunication/angst. This book is very character driven and honestly I loved it. I didn't want to put it down because I could listen to them talk to each other forever. Again, loving insta-love, can't explain it, it just works for me in this one. The writing is incredibly charming and the small town/family & friends are quirky as well as our FMC.

This book was a little too far fetched to really be very believable but it was still a cute story. I enjoyed the mental health representation and the dual POV. The spice scenes left a bit to be desired.

This was a very quick read and while it was enjoyable, I wanted more. I felt that the pacing was quite fast, as the story takes place over about a week, which felt rushed. I really wanted to feel more connected to the characters than I did. It felt that we needed more pages to fully feel the romantic connection. I liked it, but it could have given me more.

Another Flora Valley work of art! I’m really enjoying this series so far and see a lot of background characters that have so much flare that I could only imagine what a book dedicated to them would be like! (Kiki…. Please give me more Kiki.)

This book follows Corkscrew You but can be read as a standalone (although it does have brief mentions of the book as You’re So Vine FMC is book 1’s MMC’s sister…. make sense? I hope so 😭)

Ava Durant has come to witness the holy matrimony of her brother Nate and his beautiful wine making lover girl, Shelby. Ava finds herself absolutely enamored with the big husky handyman, Cam Hollander. (YESSSS THIS IS HIS MOMENT HE SO DESERVES THIS)

Cam, as seen in book 1, is not much of a conversationalist. When Ava falls ill and Cam is the one taking care of her, the banter and the sparks of a beautiful romance were absolutely GIVING.

I truly love this series and I hope that it never ends because if it ends, I will also end.

Dual POV, Spicy, Military MMC, Care Taking, One Bed

Quick, easy read. This book is takes place over the span of about a week. The first 41% of the book makes up a 24 hour period. I wish there had been a little bit deeper connection between Cam and Ava. They go from Cam rejecting a date to living together in the span of a week. If we had seen more of the longing prior to them dating maybe their love story would have been a bit more believable.

This one was not a hit for me. I liked the characters generally and felt they were real and adult in a way that was relatable. But the plot such as it was just moved too fast.

You’re So Vine was a simple, easy read. It follows Ava and Cam, an opposites-attract pair as they navigate being together through life events and family drama.

I liked that the main characters were seasoned adults and had atypical personalities from the romance genre. Cam is a simple man who doesn’t need much and is dealing with his past, while Ava comes from a wealthy family and has always been able to follow her passions.

I was slightly disappointed in the plot, though. It happened very quickly yet wasn’t very clear. It does not have much of a beginning, middle, and end- just a continuation of the same until the whole story changed the last ten percent of the book. I do think that the foundation of it has lots of potential and will definitely follow this author to see what else they come out with in the future.

The novel is a breezy, feel-good romantic comedy that takes place in the enchanting world of a vineyard, which immediately sets a picturesque and romantic backdrop for the story. The characters chemistry is palpable and their evolving relationship is filled with moments that are both tender and hilariously awkward. The witty banter and comedic situations were a highlight for me, making the pages practically turn themselves. It is a perfect pick for anyone looking for a romantic escape filled with laughter, love, and a dash of adventure.

I am sorry to say I really struggled with this book. I loved the premise of the book and the cover looks so fun. However I could not finish it. I got 40% of the way and found I could not bring myself to continue. The first chapter featured a huge about of name, info and character dumping that It was so hard to keep up with who is who. I found the inner monologue of Ava very pessimistic and too sarcastic. I can see what the author was trying to achieve with a quirky inner monologue who cracked jokes but it became really hard to continue with after a while. I did not feel that much of a connection the main characters and struggled to root for them to get together.
I found the writing style too conversational and did not have much depth to which made it an easy read but not as enjoyable as anticipated for me.

Well, I believe the entirety of Romeo and Juliet took place over 5 days and I so maybe I have to suspend belief in the same way for this novel. Shakespeare it is not, and maybe this will be a relief for some. So you will see by now my big gripe was the way time sped up in all areas of this novel. It wasn’t unenjoyable but this irked me somewhat.

3.5/5 - I really enjoyed this story. Cam and Ava are really sweet. I’d have given this extra stars but felt the story was rushed at times and I was left wanting more. Would definitely read more by this author!

The first book of this series was a cute romance, with not much development, but overall a nice time.. This one on the other hand, felt so forced.

An entire book about discovering if she was sick or not was just not ok.

I'm not even commenting that the story of the first and second book have basically the same outline... so this is not getting a 1 star purely because I'm stubborn.

We didn't dive deep into Cam's life story or even what made Ava the way she is, the romance was forced, and to be honest they're not my favorite couple.

You’re So Vine was not for me. I do try to be as open as I can about the types of rom-coms I read, but I never have been able to get into fastburns. That is really my one issue with the book. This is entirely to my personal preferences because there is nothing wrong with You’re So Vine. I would be interested in reading other works by Catherine Robertson because based on her writing and excellent music taste, I imagine she has something I would enjoy reading, but this one just isn’t it for me. I will leave this one for those who want a more fast-paced romance.

They meet, and in 24 hours she is contemplating if there is room in his tiny house for both of them to live and thinking about their future. There was enough happening in this book in a few days to cover a year's worth if it had been more developed. It definitely wasn't boring, just felt rushed to the point of not being believable.
