Jo Thomas never fails to write a book that draws me from page one right until the final page.
This was a delight to read. Summer in the south of France on a lavender farm with great characters, wall to wall sunshine, what more could you ask for. A great summer read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest review.

A lovely feel good book. I really felt like I was in France. A great cast of characters and a well written storyline. I really enjoyed following Del's story and would like to read more by this author. Recommended.

The author has created an enjoyable, romantic, and life-affirming read by weaving together the lives of a diverse group of people in France. They work together, utilizing their individual skills to achieve successful resolutions to a variety of problems. The plot was interesting, the grow of the characters was so nice too. At beginning took me a while to get into it but a solid good story and good book

I love this author, so was very excited when her new books was available. This is an amazing heartfelt story set in beautiful Provence. About how friends support each other through the turmoils of life.
An emotional uplifting book which sets the scene wonderfully with its vivid descriptions of the characters and Provence. You can almost smell the lavender through the pages. Recommended.

I did find this book a little hard to get into but once I got a grip with all the characters I was on track
Then I loved it
Henri is the person who keeps it all together and even after his demise he keeps it all going
Fabian and his girlfriend are the two main characters as well as Rhi in the story and as long as you keep along with them you will do great
I did laugh at times and cry at times as well and felt myself clench my heart at times with the story as at times I have been in the same situation as that person in the book
I also cried when the person was stuck in a situation and didn’t know how to get out of it like Maria with Marco she did the right thing in the end obviously in in my opinion
I enjoyed the book immensely

This is another Jo Thomas book that had me salivating all the way through it! The book is based in Provence and it was so well written you could smell the lavender from the fields! Our heroine is Del, who has a farm that allows people to come and harvest the lavender, Her partner Fabien has gone for the summer and it is a summer that she will remember for the rest of her life as there are lifelong friendships to be made as well as lifetime changes.

An emotional and entertaining read, I look forward to the next one.

For anyone that has read Escape to the French Farmhouse by Jo, then this book is a sequel, but I didn't realise until I started reading it, for new readers, it's a perfectly good standalone. This is definitely a great book for foodie fans, wonderful descriptions of food that you can almost taste and smell. Set in a beautiful sounding area with some lovely and interesting characters. A perfect book to escape into, especially if you can't go on any travels yourself. Thank you netgalley for an advanced copy of this book.

As a Francophile I was looking forward to reading this book. I was hooked from the beginning as the mistral blew in and cause so much damage to Henry’s. What came next with the visitors to the lavender farm and each of their stories and the fact that strangers came together to help made this a really feel good read.

Thank you for my copy of this book to read and review.

I have read a few of Jo Thomas’ previous books and have always enjoyed them. This latest one was no exception.

I didn’t realise it was a follow-up to Escape the French Farmhouse. I read this years ago so couldn’t remember anything about the previous story but I didn’t feel it mattered at all. There are a few brief re-caps but it could easily be read as a standalone.

I always love the way she describes the locations and the food, you could easily imagine you were in the lavender fields in this book. These books are always easy to read and very enjoyable...they are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

I would definitely recommend this book, and any of her previous ones too.

I wasn’t aware this was a sequel so will now need to read the first one. It was a nice enjoyable read, didn’t take me long to read it! This was my first Jo Thomas book and now looking forward to reading others. A lovely summer read, I read this out in the sun.

A Lovely rambling tale of village life, the lavender harvest and the village bistro. There is romance there but it is subtle and takes a back seat to the friendship and care that the crew have for each other. Strangers united to harvest the lavender, hold each other up through grief, death and feeling unwelcome or out of sorts. This book is a great microscope look at learning to love and love life your own way.

Never read this author before and wasn't aware that this was a sequel. That didn't really matter as this is easily a stand alone book. Perfect holiday read, charming, light hearted and fun.
There were some negatives but I suppose they are common across books of this type. It is a bit plot by numbers, Del was irritating but grew a bit on me from half way through. Sometimes though that doesn't really matter. You can just lose yourself in Provence which is never a bad move
3.5/5 stars which in this instance I've rounded up not down
Formatting issues need sorting and some typos

I haven’t read the first novel in this series but didn’t feel it mattered. Lots of crises occurring one after the other blamed on the mistral blowing through the village. This is a sweet read, ideal holiday book, perhaps a little too predictable and sweet for my tastes.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC

Jo Thomas books never disappoint! I always love the fact her books are related to food in some way or another and how food connects people together, it always makes me feel warm and comforted. The first book of Jo's I read was infact Escape To The French Farmhouse and it's one of my all time favourite books, so when I realised this one was a follow on from that book I couldn't put it down! The picture Jo paints of Provence, the farmhouse, the lavender fields I just imagine I'm there with them all, harvesting alongside the fabulous characters. This book is absolutely filled with self discovery, Friendships, love and community and I highly recommend.
