I always love reading this children biography series about different people throughout history or celebrities of today. I like reading about Beyoncé and her life and how she become who she is today
I'm a big fan of these books. I love how they tell the story of a famous person's life, in this case, Beyonce, but make it tangible for children. Yet, it also allows for the adults reading with their children to learn something as well.
Such an amazing book about an amazing character portrayed for children's eyes! Definitely love this!
You might as well try to write the biography of god... Just kidding, I think it's lovely to get this look at a young, approachable Beyoncé before she was elevated to divinity by her stan fanbase, considering how distant and private she has been these past few years (as she has every right to be, take care of yourself, Bee).
Thank you NetGalley for the eArc copy of this book for an honest review.
My grade 4 class loved this book. They loved he colours. They liked the way the story was engaging and informative. They have read similar styles before and this that the book is good for lower to middle primary aged students.
5/5 recommended
"Beyoncé (Little People, BIG DREAMS)" by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara with illustrations by Jade Orlando is a picture book biography of the superstar.
Beyoncé grew up in Houston, Texas and was inspired to become a performer after her mother took her to her first concert. She won her first talent contest at 7 and never looked back. Her group Girls Tyme became Destiny’s Child and she went even further after that.
I adore this series and this was a really great entry. The illustrations are bright and fun and feature lots of the color pink. It is an inspiring story.

I grew up listening to Destiny’s Child and then Beyoncé when she went solo.
This was a fun book to share with my daughter.
I can’t wait to get a physical copy and add this to her library with her other books from “Little People, Big Dreams” series
We love these books at our house. This book was cute and told just enough for little readers to enjoy.
The illustrations were cute (though some don’t look like the person)
Pros: I adore the Little People Big Dreams series of children's books and find myself requesting each one on NetGalley because I end up learning something from them. I think it's fantastic that these books for children focus on the famous person as a child and how they came to be the person the world knows. The attention to detail in the illustrations of each book is always impressive and shows the care given to each subject. Specifically to this book about Beyonce, this book had some of my favorite illustrations of the Little People Big Dreams series. The recreation of some of Beyonce's most famous outfits was so much fun. This would be a fantastic gift to so many young girls, especially those who love to sing and perform.
Cons: None! I can't wait to read more in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the opportunity to read this book.
This book is an adorable introduction to the life of Beyoncé. It isn’t very thorough, but you also don’t want to cram too many words on a page because you’ll lose the attention of little readers. I did learn something new…that Destiny’s Child has basically been around since before Beyoncé was a teenager.
I do like this series over all and enjoy reading them to my son (though when we get to the timeline at the back, he usually starts losing focus).

I loved reading this to my little boys. I love these books how bright and colourful they are. The perfect amount of information about Beyonce.
I love celebrating women with my boys.
I am so thrilled I could read this book
Thank you
Brilliantly accessible look at the life of Beyonce. Children will love the stunning illustrations and the story of her success.
These little people big dreams books are perfect! I knew a lot about Beyonce (and am a fan) but loved the way that it teaches kids about her and all of her accomplishments. The illustrations in all of these are great too. I will absolutely look for this to buy as a gift for any Bey Hive friends with children!
A book that will be loved by the Bey Hive as much as it will be loved by kids! A wonderfully inspiring exploration of Beyonce's life with beautiful illustrations - Beyonce singing in the moonlight outside her childhood home in Houston and the Lemonade tree were my favourites. I was also moved by the book's ending as it highlighted the power of perseverance in achieving one's dreams.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.
This is the sweetest book for any Beyoncé fans and their little families. Loved it, the illustrations are darling.
This is another great book in the series. I learned so much! The extended biography was also very informative. I highly recommend this book and series.
Beyoncé by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara is such a lovely tribute. It is a good progression of her life, starting young and following her journey from her singing at church, to being in Destiny's Child, to performing at the Super Bowl. It is such an inspiration to young girls everywhere that their dreams are so close and worth pursuing.
I recommend this book to anyone who has a child with big dreams. Show them that it's all possible!

This addition in the Little People, Big Dreams series follows Beyoncé. It shows her life—from her childhood to present day—and the story of how she came to be one of the world’s most famous women in the music industry.
With beautiful artwork and an inspiring message—that with hard work, determination and dedication anyone can achieve their dreams. An enjoyable read for fans of all ages looking to learn more of how Beyoncé came to be at the top of the charts.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Received for review: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Why did I decide to turn the pages? I love this series. Most of the books are very informative, and I love the diverse representation in the series. So when I was given the chance to review it, I took it.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I loved the illustrations in this one and the theme about reaching for your dreams and working for them. The illustrations of Beyonce singing were particularly well done. It can be tricky to write books about people who are still alive, but I thought this did a good job hitting on the most important parts of Beyonce's life. I think fans will enjoy this one.
