Many thanks to NetGalley, HQ and Phoebe Morgan for my ARC of 'The Trip' in return for an honest review.

Yet another brilliant novel by this author. I am a big fan and have read all of her books so was delighted to receive my advanced copy.

Four friends decide to go on a holiday to Thailand. Saskia and Theo have no money worries and live a luxury lifestyle whole Lucan and Holly are scrimping to save to buy a flat and are struggling to pay for this holiday. On arrival they find there has been a mix up with the hotel booking and end up in a hostel. Things start to go wrong immediately and isn't helped by the fact that they all have secrets.

It seems by good fortune that they meet Caleb who finds Holly's bag with the passports in it. They believe he’s a hero and allow him to join the group. The twists and turns begin and develop in a cleverly plotted storyline.

Excellent read and highly recommended

A terrific thriller set on an island with a bunch of friends and one of them could be the killer - what more could you ask for in a book? Loved this one!

This is just the kind of book that appeals to me - I love a thriller set on holiday. I really enjoyed the writing style and could picture the characters and locations easily.

The book was well paced and the plot held my attention - I enjoyed finding out what secrets the characters were keeping.

I thought the decision to have Saskia and Holly's POVs first person and Lucas's POV third person was odd and a bit jarring, and I'm not sure it's just because this was an advance copy but some of the sentences were weird. For example 'It would be the first of many injuries he inflicted on me, but it wouldn't be the last' - half of that sentence is redundant, and 'I jump inside the swimming pool' - who says 'inside' rather than 'into'?! There is also a timeline error - it is mentioned that the holiday is in January, but the two months later section happens in October.

Overall I did enjoy this book, I'm trying to judge it as if it was a finished copy, and it was entertaining.

This was such a fantastic gripping read it pulled me in from the first page until the very last. It was a fast paced thriller with many twists and turns. It is told from three of the friend’s perspective's which built the tension within. I really enjoyed the writing style.

Saskia And Theo are newlyweds with no money issues Lucas and Holly have been together a couple of years and saving hard for a flat to buy. The four friend's have decided to go on a trip of a lifetime to Thailand. All of them have secrets which they don’t want the others to find out. Things start to go wrong as soon as they arrive the hotel has got their booking and can’t fit them in. So they end up in a hostel where strange things start to happen notes are left feeling of being watched. Then They meet Caleb who finds Holly's bag with the passports in them they all think he’s a hero he seems to be lonely so tags along with the group. Can anyone in this group be trusted all with there secrets how much danger are the in.

This was a fantastic read which I highly recommend. Excellently writing from start to finish and what a finish it was such a jaw dropping ending. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy.

Awesome book! I can’t get enough of these beach vacation thrillers. Holly and Lucas go to Thailand along with their married friends Saskia and Theo. Saskia is hiding things from everyone. Lucas is hiding his money problems from Holly. Suddenly things go wrong. Lost reservations. Creepy pics and notes show up. Items get stolen. Caleb comes to the rescue and attaches himself to this group. But Caleb and Saskia know each other from a previous lifetime. How much of a threat does he pose to her new marriage?? Great suspense. Great ending!
