Yet again I had to give up with a novel by renowned non-fiction writer Simon Sebag Montefiore. It’s a potentially interesting story, especially for a Russophile like myself, but I just couldn’t go on with this clichéd and poorly written book. Montefiore should stick with history and biography at which he excels and leave novels to novelists.
