A fun companion book to the original Farm Anatomy book! The illustrations were great and many kids would love finding the answers in the Farm Anatomy book.
You definitely need to have the original Farm Anatomy book in order to know what is what on some pages. I was surprised by some of the questions!
Overall, I think it would be a fun purchase for home educating children on farm life.

A great way for kids (and their parents) to learn about the farm. A good variety of activities to keep kids entertained and learning. Even as an adult their was new things for me to learn in there.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to review this book. The art work and illustrations are beautiful. The activities look fun, engaging, and informative for children. Yet, I couldn't actually get my kids to look at it or try any of the activities out as I received a digital version of this book, and printing wasn't allowed for understandable reasons.

Julia Rothman's Farm Anatomy Activity Book has a mixture of learning, activities, games, riddles, drawing, puzzles, etc. If you have a child interested in farming, gardening, or farm animals, or if you're doing a unit study in your homeschool on farming, this book would be a great resource. I don't know how this might work for you if you have multiple kids. I guess you would need to purchase a copy per child--no different than purchasing a coloring book or activity book per kid for something else. If a digital version is available where you can print off multiple copies of the activities you need per how many children you have, you'd still run into instances where an entire page has a colored background which is beautiful to look at but is costly to print at home. This book is one of the few instances where having a physical review book would have been helpful to see what the real size and layout would have been like to review this properly.

As a long-time fan of Julia Rothman's work, I was thrilled to dive into her Farm Anatomy Activity Book. This companion piece to her bestselling Farm Anatomy is an absolute gem for anyone looking to explore the fascinating world of farming through a variety of engaging activities. Aimed at kids aged 8 and up (but honestly, I think it appeals to all ages), this book is packed with creative learning exercises that are as fun as they are educational.

From the moment I opened the book, I was greeted with Rothman's signature charming illustrations. The pages are bursting with color and detail, capturing the essence of farm life in a way that’s both inviting and informative. Each activity invites you to roll up your sleeves and engage with the content—whether it’s matching tools to their names, navigating a maze dedicated to pollinators, or even drawing a sheep or a horse. It’s like a mini farm adventure right on your coffee table!

What I particularly appreciated about this activity book is its wide variety of tasks. There’s something for everyone: word searches, crosswords, drawing guides, and observational challenges. Very cute, I would have loved if it also included some stickers from the sticker series. This would be good for elementary-age kids.

I love to have on hand many learning resources for my kids to go through, these are very beautifully done to even keep the wondering kids eyes. I love the variations of different styles of learning from puzzles, plant parts, shadow games, science project to do, many for all ages to engage even the littles. This is perfect for any kids, and certainly for the homeschooling family. My kids being farm kids loved having the confidence to do these, and teach their younger siblings. We have all of the books, and they will always and forever be a staple in our homeschool journey. This is such a nice touch to add to those without it being too much, or a requirement. You can easily branch off of these and do more, or less.

We are big fans of Julia Rothman in this house! I was so excited to get this ARC and will love a physical copy for my son when available. I just made a video on instagram and tiktok featuring "Farm Anatomy" (@readingrurally). I own and operate our 7 acre homestead as a small business here in Central Ohio and LOVE educational materials for my son.

The illustrations in this one are perfect and all the little games will be so much fun. He can learn something from each page while thinking he's just "playing a game". This book would be great for the homeschool crowd too. Thanks for providing answer keys in the back.

I absolutely love all of Julia Rothman’s anatomy books, so I thought I would try this activity book. Based on the level of detail in the other books, that’s what I expected from this as well. However, this was much shorter and to the point. I love that the topics match up to the farm anatomy book, and that I can just use a quick worksheet. These are great for elementary aged kids to reinforce learning!

I used to love activity books and secret codes when I was a kid, and I grew up on a farm in Wales, so I was delighted when I came across Julia Rothman’s Farm Anatomy Activity Book.

The Farm Anatomy Activity Book has everything I used to love about these kinds of books, but it comes with the added bonus of all the beautiful artwork and gorgeous drawings. The puzzles in the Farm Activity Book are fun, and beautifully illustrated. The farm theme is great, and Julia Rothman really knows her stuff.

I had a few problems with Julia Rothman’s Farm Anatomy Activity Book though. I found that the puzzles were sometimes too hard, and a little bit too educational. The book seems to be aimed at an American audience, and some of the farming terminology would be out of the reach of British readers. However, it is a really nice look into what American farms is like, especially if you’ve always wondered about them. You do learn an awful lot, but the book is a little bit too hard.

There is lots of room to be creative in the book, and I found that a splendid addition to the puzzles, codes and diagrams in this book.

Julia Rothman’s Farm Anatomy Activity Book is a lovely way to spend a cosy afternoon. You’ll find yourself absorbed in the world of farms and farming, while you curl up with an apple-shaped wordsearch and some coloured pencils.

This book is the perfect companion for Farm Anatomy (which I adore, along with the entire Anatomy collection). It has activities suitable for a variety of ages, and several will make perfect conversation starters for mixed-age groups, including homeschooling and after-schooling families. I especially love how versatile this book is—not only is it great to use with its intended companion text, but it is also easily adaptable to use in conjunction with a trip to a farm park (whether historical, modern, or micro), farmers' market, or co-op. Some of them could even be used to enhance a simple trip to the grocery store.

I sincerely loved Julia Rothman's Farm Anatomy Activity Book and can't wait to use it with my kiddos.

I adore these books! The activities are varied and diverse, focusing on different skills and so many different aspects of the topics presented. I want to have all of them for my classroom and I want all of them for the library I am building for my son. These are so awesome.

This book is perfect for teaching younger ones about farming. It's got great illustrations. It also contains activities that you can do with your child including growing a bean plant in a bag. Even as an adult I learned some new things from this book and enjoyed the activities that we have done. Highly recommend it for anymore with children whither in the country or not.

This is a beautiful illustrated work book. It has a lot of activities that would go along with Julia Rothman's other books. I am excited to share this book along with our kids. The variety of activities is great and will keep the kids engaged throughout the whole book. It is a little more advanced but my younger daughter things it is great as well.

A wonderful accompaniment to her earlier work, Farm Anatomy, this Activity Book is sure to excite and delight both children and those child-like at heart.

Initially I regretted showing my nine and five year old children the activity book as they immediately demanded we swap our homeschool book work plans for this, and I'm so glad they did.
We had the best day going through all the sections and answering the questions.

The graphics are eye-catching, the activities are engaging, and best of all the book is jam packed with education.
It worked well for both my children. My eldest was able to complete the book without much assistance and my youngest found the book engaging as I helped her through the activities.

This book would make for a wonderful gift or expansion on Julia Rothman's Farm Anatomy book.
If you are homeschooling I would highly recommend adding this to your curriculum.

This is a fantastic activity book that would be a fun for kids. It could be used as a learning tool for homeschoolers. The activities cover a range of topics like plant biology, animals and identifying the parts of a chainsaw.

You’ll find word searches, crosswords, how to draw and other puzzles covering all parts of homestead and farm life. I wish something like this had been available when my kids were young.

Taking the kids to the family farm to visit grandma? This is a great plane or car activity book!
