I was so excited to read this as I love Hannah’s books and writing, I’ve read most (if not possibly all) of her previous books and so I was pretty much certain I would love it and I wasn’t wrong. I have really enjoyed the sweet shop series since the very first book, could be something to do with the child in me (and most of us with a sweet tooth) wanting to run a sweet shop, but I just love these books.

I loved Holly and have enjoyed her story throughout these books, I love going on all these characters journeys with them throughout the course of their stories. I am so fond of all of them, the community and friendships held in these pages, they are a comfort and a delight to read.

Hannah always manages to fill her stories with sweet and loveable characters, great stories, full of heart, hope and happiness, this book is no exception and as always I’m eager for what she will write next.

I adore this series, it just goes from strength to strength with each book. Can you believe this is the sixth in this delightful series already?

I've been emotionally invested in Holly and her story right from the very beginning when the sweetshop was just a pipe dream. She's such a lovely character and I don't want her story to end, she feels more of a friend now, rather than just a name in a book.

She's so lucky, I would absolutely love to own my own sweetshop, and as an extra bonus its set in the Cotswolds...perfect!

ASWATSCS is a sweet romance read, it has a brilliant cast of likeable characters and a fantastic sense of community spirit.

An enjoyable, heartwarming read that's hot on romance, relationships and sweets, obviously.

I jumped into this book series on Book 6 but despite the occasional throwback to previous books it did not deter me.

A Summer Wedding at the Second Chances Sweet Shop is everything that you will probably expect it to be; charming, fun, easy to read and a well paced story. What's not to like?!

I will read more from Hannah Lynn without a doubt.

This is such a lovely book that I became totally absorbed in. I haven’t read any of the others in the series but that doesn’t matter as this can easily be read as a standalone.

Holly Berry owns a sweet shop in an idyllic Cotswold village. This is part of a series of which I have read a few but not all, but this did not matter.
Holly is now co parenting with her ex Ben and working out how their new partners fit into their new lives. As well as this the long awaited wedding of their friends Jamie and Finn is on the horizon.
But all is not going smoothly.
This series is about friendship and love and this story takes our characters further on. A lovely tale.

Oh please tell me there will be more!!!! I’m not ready for Holly's story to be done. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this series from the first page of book 1 until now.

All leading up to Jamie's and Finn's big day, it’s not without tribulations and fear! Vespa for one!

But I love Holly and just find her so endearing, even when she was at odds with her mum for secrets. Oh, and Maud is back!!

More Evan this time and he’s an interesting addition to the book. I love his and Holly’s story, but they need more and it will be interesting to see what happens next with them.

As with the others, this was so addictive like sweets. I read this one so I did miss listening to Holly’s voice but equally, I am glad I read it so I could get it done at my pace and really savour it. I really do want more Holly as I love the series. It is such a happy go-to place, well as long as you avoid any altercation at the pond with the ducks.

It's just adorable and cute and I will give any of my sweets up to get the next book now!!!

This is the second book I have read by this author. It is also the sixth book in the 'Holly Berry Sweet Shop' series but all books in this series can be read as a standalone. I have also read 'Sunny Days At The Second Chances Sweet Shop' (book 5 in the series)

This novel consists of 54 chapters. The chapters are short in length so easy to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

This book has fantastic descriptions that set you straight in the scenes. The cover, title and synopsis suit the storyline perfectly.

OMG!!! I absolutely LOVE this stunning series!! I fell in love with the characters and just everything in the first book I read by Hannah which was 'Sunny Days At The Second Chances Sweet Shop' and was landed when this book came out! I must admit I was a bit dubious about how on Earth Hannah could make another book just as gorgeous as that one but she most definitely did. in fact, I would go as far as saying I loved this one just that but morel!!! in this gorgeous book we meet the fantastic and sweet Holly again. Holly has just returned from her holiday where she ended up in a relationship with the lovely Evan. Holly is wondering whether the relationship will still be the same when Evan comes to stay in the village but has also got many other things on her mind!!! Not only is she looking after her 9 month old daughter Hope, she is busy running her sweet shop and her Dad's 60th birthday is coming up. If that isn't enough she is also helping to prepare for the wedding of her friends Jamie and Finn!!! Now, Holly is someone who likes to compartmentalise things so having Evan come into her home while she has so much other things going on is a huge step for her!! Holly is nervous about introducing Evan to her parents and Hope and at the same time is trying not to get used to him helping out too much, such as in her sweet shop, as she knows he has to work away a lot in his job. With so much going on in her life can Holly cope with it all? Will the wedding go as planned? Will her parents like Evan? If you want to find out if the wedding goes ahead, what the plans for Holly's Dad's 60th will be and how her parents will react to Evan then you will just have to grab your copy of this absolutely stunning page tuner today wont you? i can promise you, whether you start with this book or the first book in this absolutely gorgeous series you will not be disappointed!! Hannah is one of those books that can write book after book featuring the same characters and I will never get bored, especially as they have now come to feel like friends. The only negative thing I can say is that apart from them living on in my mind and the story coming to life when I read it is that these fantastic characters only actually live on paper as I am devastated every time I have to say Goodbye to them!! I do have to say though that this book is not specifically about the wedding but is just a part of the storyline which didn't bother me in the slightest but just so you know before you get started! The storyline is stunning and is ram packed with friendship, romance, stress, parenthood, family, sweets, wedding planning, fun and is an absolutely stunning escapism read!!! This is one of those books that are very easy to read and perfect for any reading situations whether you are laying on a beach or curled up in front of a fire. It is an absolutely ideal read for anyone who is looking for a gorgeous and relaxing read that will have you hooked from beginning to end. I absolutely LOVED the realism of this storyline which made it so easy to picture everything that was going on which had been helped by Hannah's fantastic evocative writing skills. I cannot wait to get hooked into more of Hannah's books so I hope she is busy writing her next one while I get stuck into the previous books in this stunning series!! Well done Hannah on yet another absolutely stunning and perfect addition to a gorgeous series!!!

Although this is the sixth book in the series I had absolutely no problems reading it without the others. Any details or events that have previously happened are mentioned in just the right amount of detail to let a new reader know what has happened and yet not too much to bore a previous reader.

The characters were all an eclectic mix and each one of them were realistic and strong. I was completely invested in them all. It also makes them more realistic, believable and made me feel even more for them than I normally would. I loved meeting them all again in this book after falling in love with them in book 5 in this series after they very quickly became to feel like friends. I absolutely adore Holly who is just such a likeable, friendly and amazing woman. She is a single mum to 9 month Hope and Hannah's evocative writing really brought them (well, all the characters) to life. Holly co-parents with her ex Ben who I actually really liked which surprised me when I first met him. Normally the ex boyfriend is made out to be a complete pillock and horrible person but I love the fact that in this case their romance just fizzled out but they stayed friends and they work together really well. I absolutely love Evan who is just the absolute sweetest guy ever!! There were just so many amazing characters that I loved getting to know that I could write about them all day but I don't want to bore you so I'll start to wrap it up here. I do want to mention Jamie, Fin and Caroline who were lovely friends to Holly and just fantastic people and Holly's Mum and Dad who I also really liked. Each of the characters are memorable and unique in their own ways and they are a group that I wont ever be forgetting any time soon! I cannot wait to meet them all again and again!!!

Pick up this book and get lost in this absolutely gorgeous page turner!

Loved this book, didn’t like Evan!! I was always waiting for the twist, but I got it wrong. It’s a very cosy book which I love to sit down to. The characters filled the story and were very real. Recommended to read.

My Opinion

Whilst I haven't read all of the books in this series, I have to say that I really enjoy coming back to spend time with Holly Berry ad her friends, they are just so welcoming. This book will leave you with a warm and cosy feeling. This is such a sweet and heart-warming read, that was such a joy to read and a great distraction. In fact now I want my own sweet shop.

For me Hannah Lynn is one of those authors that I enjoy more with every book and I am eagerly waiting to see what the next release will be.

Don't we all love a wedding? And this book is no exception. Yet another great book by Hannah continuing the Second Chances Sweet Shop series.

I have always fancied reading the second chances sweet shop books, so when the latest one was available I thought I’d see whether the book was as good as the sweet treats the shop sells. However, the author’s dedication ‘to all readers who have come on this journey with Holly’ should have been a huge indicator that prior knowledge of the characters was a must for enjoying this book. This book can definitely not be read, and enjoyed fully, as a stand alone book. I felt very much like I was missing a great deal as almost immediately characters and scenarios were sprung on me that it was assumed I, as reader, were aware of.
I have read & enjoyed many other books mid-series, so I just assumed I’d be able to do the same with this series, and that is on me rather than the author, who has lovingly written a happily ever after for her character. This book is well written & I would definitely look for others written by her, but unfortunately, my enjoyment of it was marred by my decision to drop in without knowing who I was meeting & how they got there. Perhaps in the future I will be able to start at the beginning of Holly’s story.
4 stars for the overall writing of this book but dropped one purely because the story doesn’t stand up unless propped up by the previous books.

A Summer Wedding At The Second Chances Sweet Shop is actually book number six from the ‘Holly Berry Sweet Shop’ series and i absolutely love the titles of these books - they all sound amazing and so warm and inviting!

The author wrote this book really well and i love how she makes all the characters feel like old friends. The more we get to know everyone and become involved in their lives, the more i fell in love with them and enjoyed their company!!

This was such a sweet, lovable and heartwarming book that will have you racing through the pages and leave you with a big smile on your face too…….

Though I've only read two books in this series. I already feel as though the characters are friends. I just finished the first in this series yesterday and now here I've just finished the sixth book. After finishing this I can see I have some catching up to do with the characters as so much has happened between books. I am really enjoying this series so much. Each book has so many of the same characters in them, so you know right where you are with the characters and what to expect. Holly is still running her sweet shop she bought from longtime owner Maud. Previously Holly had been running herself ragged running the shop herself seven days a week. She's still running the shop but has accepted help from family and friends at times, so she'll have more time for other important things. The book is so realistic it just makes me smile. Holly now has a beautiful baby daughter from one of her previous relationships, but they are not together now. The ups and downs continue with the relationship she has with her parents. They are having trouble accepting she is making her own choices in life and think they know what's best for her still.
She's so excited a special friend of hers is getting married but when a big snag develops in their wedding plans will things be able to come together in time?
Sweet and charming. I love the characters and recommend the whole series. A magical book that'll have you experiencing all the emotions and leave you with a smile.

Having elected to read this book as a standalone, it took a few pages to get to grips with the story, but I’m pleased that I stuck with it as it was a lovely read. I’m already familiar with Hannah Lynn’s writing style, so anticipated the rhythm of the storytelling and was soon very comfortable with the characters.
Holly is an instantly likeable character, and it took no time at all to fall into the story and feel comfortable. I must admit, baby Hope was a slight curveball, but I soon established the parents and the backstory for her place in the story.
The setting of the sweetshop had my mouth watering as I thought of all the sweet treats in those tall jars, lining the shelves. I particularly enjoyed the visit from the shop’s former owner and learning a little about how Holly came to take over the reins at the little shop.
This is a book with a delightful supporting cast made with friends and family. It was clear that Holly had no desire for handouts and was determined to make her own way through the challenges that she faced. This was a side to her that new boyfriend Evan had yet to reconcile with. Refreshingly, he soon gets onboard with her needs, and I am confident that their future could be good.
As the title suggests, there’s a wedding at the heart of the story, a wedding that faces some challenges and relies on some interesting solutions. There are no spoilers from me, but maybe keep your fascinators on standby as things do go to the wire.
I’m sure it would have been beneficial to read the entire series, but I still enjoyed the story despite joining so late.

Such a fun read, with romance, the Cotswolds, humour and a wedding, maybe! This is a book that will make you smile, such a delightful and heart-warming read with wonderful characters that you can't help but love.

Part of a series (of which I have enjoyed all the books) this is about love, relationships, friendships and so much more. It will entertain you in a wonderfully enjoyable way, you just won't want to put it down. I read this book in no time and think I might want to read it (and all the books from the series) again. Bring on more stories from The Second Chance Sweet shop as I love them all!

This was a wonderful installment into Holly's life. I really enjoy these stories and getting to know all the characters. It feels like a warm cup of hot chocolate by a fire when you read it.

It was great getting to see more of Evan too. I love the development of their relationship. I also adore the Co parenting between Holly and Ben. I wish all co parents could get to this level of emotional maturity.

Another great read from the sweet shop.
