Crown of Midnight was a wonderful sequel to Throne of Glass, and I was glad to be reunited with Celaena in Crown . Despite being surrounded by the whole court, she feels alone as she fights for survival. Some bits I found cliche, and I'm currently off love triangles, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this read.

The three main characters of Celaena, Dorian, and Chaol are well developed. I enjoyed getting to know more about each of them. I think Maas knows how to elicit strong emotions from her readers, and I think a fair few readers would have shed a few tears as this story unfolded.

A thoroughly enjoyable read.

A stunning continuation that took the foundations of the first book and ran at break-neck speed to a thrilling conclusion.
