I got this one through the library as it wouldn’t download on my kindle and I liked it a lot. And so didn’t my kids.
Thank you to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group – Wide Eyed Editions and the author for an ARC of this book.
If you ever need to add to your American bucket list, this book is for you. This is a book you could plan vacations with, with all the interesting adventure ideas it supplies. Although some of these adventure ideas may be pricey, I think that goal of this book is more to get people interested in stepping outside of the comfort zone and to see what types of adventures are possible in different states due to weather, terrain, history, etc. So much of this book involves being interested in and appreciating nature, and attending to one's surroundings, which is something that we all should be doing more. Like every other Wide Eyed Edition books, the illustrations were fabulous and the adventures reignited my desire to explore more.
I loved this book! As someone who enjoys traveling, exploring, and discovering new things, this book was full of different adventures that I look forward to trying. The descriptions were well thought out, the facts were interesting, and the illustrations were beautiful! This book is a great resource for adult or for children, and especially great for families.
Thank you to the publisher and author for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This children's book features many inspirational tidbits for the budding traveler or geographer. Adventures such as climbing a boulder in Alabama or Walking on a glacier in Alaska give kids a taste of the adventure they could pursue in each state.
We added this book to our library and our patrons (big and small) love it. The illustrations are lovely, the facts are interesting and the maps are informative. The perfect book for an American library abroad!
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. It is an excellent fiction book about all the adventures that you can take in all the states. Great for road trips.
50 must do adventures for each of the 50 states!
This was just as gorgeous as Siber’s other book on the national parks. Lovely bright colors, a diverse array of people portrayed, and in depth explanations of beautiful and unique experiences in every state. I also loved the recognition for various Native tribes that used to live, and still live today in different areas.
My nephew loved reading this one to me! He was especially excited to point out the things we’ve done on family vacations and things he wants to do.
Thank you to both NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this arc.
Thank you Wide Eyed Editions and Netgalley for a copy of 50 Adventures in the 50 States!
"The 50 States series of books for young explorers celebrates the USA and the wider world with key facts and fun activities about the people, history, and natural environments that make each location within them uniquely wonderful. Vivid illustrations, maps, and infographics bring the places to life."
This is so gorgeous! And I hope they turn the page into posters - they would make fun collectibles! I love the trivia and illustrations. Great for anyone (kids and adults) who loves adventures!
This was a really nice book that takes you through all the 50 States and you learn about 50 adventures you can do, one for each state. The illustrations were really really good.
I did feel like the book was missing a bit of direction - like how should one go about those adventures? Plus some were rich people adventures, let's face it. But I did love learning a bit about the flora and fauna of each state, plus all the environmentally friendly tips.
I love lists as much as I love andventures - so this book totally satisfied my nerdy little heart!! Full of gorgeous illustrations and sprinkled with little nuggets of trivia. Def a fabulous book to share with the family!! Thank you to Netgalley, Kate Siber and Wide Eyed Editions for this digital arc in exchange for an honest opinion!

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for this book.
This book is so beautifully illustrated. I read it on my iPad and was able to zoom in and out and really take in all of the details. I would definitely purchase this for friends with kids.
A great book to get to know a little about each of the 50 states in the USA. Each page features a state (listed in alphabetical order) and has information about the state, its landmarks, animals and other points of interest.
Full of bright and engaging illustrations, this book is perfect for children to discover more about the USA during some independent research and will keep them coming back again and again.
The art is amazing. The book was lovingly drawn. There are many good ideas and nice things to do. In addition to what we have in this book the authors could have gotten more into detail. Like, some examples to where in the state is a good place to do that or something like that. But overall it is nice to look at with some nice tips. Though I don't think I would buy it for the content because you can use the internet for these tips.
A beautifully illustrated book. I knew of some of the adventures/ activities one can do, but some of the others were interesting to read about.
The imagery is well-done as is the sprinkling of information on each page.
Very well-made book!
I've read many books in the 50 states series and this one didn't disappoint. I highly recommend these books for family reading time or for independent older readers. The illustrations and captions were interesting and entertaining. A book for everyone!
I liked this book which took me on a great travelling journey across the States. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.
We loved this wonderful fun and fact packed book about the 50 States. The author takes us on a great journey across our country as we discover the wonders and experiences that each state has for us to find. This is a perfect guide to adventures we can have in every state. We found the states our family has been to and we even learned about things from our own state we didn’t know. The illustrations were vibrant and creative. This book is a great gift for any adventuring family. The book is so well detailed that those who are unable to travel can discover our 50 states from home. This would be great for classrooms and families to share. Possibilities are endless. Enjoy the adventure.
This title would be a lovely addition to any shelf regularly used by a child.
The illustrations of each state are gorgeous and I could have spent hours dipping in and out of this book and exploring each state. I like the linked facts for each state and it would make a good introduction to any planned trip with children.
Educating and entertaining - the perfect combination which I think would keep children captivated and returning to the book time and time again. This is definitely a title I want to add to my library shelves.
This book has really beautiful illustrations. They did their job because the moment I turned the page, I wanted to visit the places they depicted. The only downside is that I think I have 50 new trips planned. Each of these adventures is just a snapshot of one thing you could do in each state. The snapshots paint a beautiful picture of how vast and diverse the US is though and left me eager to explore more. A great way to inspire a love of adventure and travel.
The highlight of this book are the illustrations! I would definitely purchase this for our library. I believe many students would enjoy paging through the book and may even find an adventure to learn more about.
