The highlight of this book are the illustrations! I would definitely purchase this for our library. I believe many students would enjoy paging through the book and may even find an adventure to learn more about.

This book definitely makes you want to spend more time outdoors. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I'd done some of the things suggested in the states I've lived in already, but this also gave me great ideas for future travels.
A great book for anyone who wants to travel to all 50 states someday + is looking for inspiration on things to do/highlights on each one!
Thank you to NetGalley + the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book has such beautiful illustrations and cute ideas for spending time outside in kid-friendly ways. However, it doesn't really identify specific adventures that are unique to that state beyond saying that a family could climb a specific mountain or attend one road race, etc.

I really enjoyed this book - there were some things I wasn't a fan of but for the most part it was a really pretty book! The best thing about this book was the artwork! I loved the artistry so much! This went through each state and said a little bit about the state and some facts. This is the part that I was not to happy with. It seemed like there were some facts about other things and not the states. I wanted to know more about the states than about the activity. I know it was 50 adventures but it could have had a little of both. Other than that this was a quick and very informational read.

The art really steals the show here. Some of the adventures are more achievable than others (consider whether your state's adventure is something your community is likely to be able to afford!) and I wasn't thrilled with my own state's date-specific adventure (Massachusetts), but it really shows off the diverse landscapes of the US.

5/5 Stars!
This book makes you want to get outdoors!
The illustrations where fantastic and there were some great ideas for things to do!
Great for anyone looking to travel to all 50 states and do some outdoor activities.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing for this arc to read in exchange for an honest review!

Each state has a main adventure idea and lots of fun facts written across a double page spread. 50 Adventures in the 50 States is a great book to have for planning a family vacation or for kids to just look through! The colorful, diverse art is fun for all ages of the family.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. This was a fun read with great drawings and interesting facts.

This is a book to help your kids build their bucket lists or your own. There is one page per state, and each one talks about the fun things tho do in each of those states that you might not even realize that you could do.

5/5 Stars! Thank you, NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Wide Eyed Editions for this eARC of 50 Adventures in the 50 States by Kate Siber.
The illustrations on this is beautiful! My youngest was just adoring the beautiful colors and pictures of each state. My youngest is 2 so he doesn't know his states (yet) but this would be a great way to help him in the future in school. My husband (who is a history teacher) LOVED this book and really enjoy reading some additional facts of each state.
Beautiful book all around and great for both adults and children!

“50 Adventures in 50 States” is a wildly fun interactive book with stunning page-filling illustrations, The text seems to get lost, and occasionally feels illegible, but the artwork surrounding it more than makes up for it. Families and kids with curious minds will adore this book and the chance to explore—in person or at home—each unique state.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I really want to try a pawpaw fruit now. What an amazing book! I found this to be an amazing resource tool for projects.

Author Kate Siber is releasing several books this spring featuring adventures in the US, just in time for any libraries' adventure-themed summer reading. But Siber's mastery of this illustration form combined with a keen sense of whimsy and understanding of what's essential in nonfiction for this stage young reader make these "must haves."
The unique features Siber chooses for each stop along the way in "50 Adventures in the 50 States" are yet another layer of excellence for these particular offerings.
Siber does a beautiful job of prioritizing information with visual cues, without resorting to "siloing" facts and figures. These books are really readable rather than just information repositories. And the illustrations are not just fun and accessible, they are truly appealing.

The author of this children’s book beguilingly invites her readers to come and have some adventures. Starting with letter “A,” readers are invited to climb a giant boulder in Alabama, to walk on a glacier in Alaska, to horseback ride in Arizona and to kayak in Arkansas. From there it goes on to all of the states.
I found this to be an interesting and appealing title. Readers, whether or adults or children, will learn a lot as they enjoy both the text and illustrations in this book.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.

What beautiful illustrations! Love the vivid colors of them all. I understand it must have been difficult to pick just one scene/setting to depict a whole state (for example, a beach scene was the illustration for California, but what about Yosemite? Golden Gate Bridge? There are just so many other notable places in that state). I wish the factoids were more fact-based than written in short storytelling proses.

I enjoy a great deal about this book. First, I like the Table of Contents page. It is great to see the map of the United States with all the page numbers on each state. Second, I like the formatting of the book. Each state gets two pages, which has a beautiful spread depicting the adventure and while there is a box with the specific instructions there is plenty of text to enrich the adventure all over the spread. Lastly, is the content. When I read the title, I began thinking of tourist attractions, and while some national parks are tourist attractions, the majority of this book focuses on nature, not man made items. It is great to see the world is full of adventure, not in the sense of a big city, but in the very nature that is so often taken for granted. Now, I am a reader, so I don't often explore the outdoors, but there are quite a few things on this list that I find myself very interested in trying out!

This book is GORGEOUS, and I cannot wait to start planning new adventures with my family based on these suggestions!

Cute and cozy illustrations, but a bit lacking in the “fun facts” department. It felt like it was all the same somehow, even the adventures most of them were either biking or sailing/swimming in the water.
Overall the illustrations made the book better, yet some pages were more detailed than others. The Pennsylvania pages were especially boring and empty to look at.

This is a lovely educational book. Beautifully illustrated and full of interesting facts about each State. Each State is given its own two pages in the book. I would say this is a great introduction book to the States, as there wasn’t too much information to take in about them on the pages. The only thing I would say is we had this as an ebook, to fully appreciate the book and illustrations I feel it would be better in the physical format.

This book is stunningly beautiful—the illustrations and the descriptive writing make for a lovely experience. I enjoyed all the facts and details about each state, and the table of contents could not have been any cuter and made me excited to open this book and explore each state. The book was different than I had expected though—I really thought it was going to describe in detail adventures families could have in each state, but some felt unrealistic (rock climbing, surfing). I think it’s a great book for kids to dream, see what’s out there, and make a great list of possibilities.
